“V For Vendetta,” a film that portrays evil in a futuristic England as a proxy for the evil that exists today in America, ends with the defeat of evil. But this is a movie in which the hero has super powers. If you have not seen this film, you should watch it. It might wake you up and give you courage. The excerpts below show that, at least among some filmmakers, the desire for liberty still exists.
Whether the desire for liberty exists in America remains to be seen. If Americans can overcome their gullibility, their lifelong brainwashing, their propensity to believe every lie that “their” government tells them, and if Americans can escape the Matrix in which they live, they can reestablish the morality, justice, peace, freedom, and liberty that “their” government has taken from them. It is not impossible for Americans to again stand with uplifted heads. They only have to recognize that “their” government is the enemy of truth, justice, human rights and life itself.
Can mere ordinary Americans triumph over the evil that is “their” government without the aid of a superhero? If ideas are strong enough and Americans can comprehend them, good can prevail over the evil that is concentrated in Washington. What stands between the American people and their comprehension of evil is their gullibility.
If good fails in its battle with Washington’s evil, our future is a boot stamping on the human face forever.
If you, an American, living in superpower America lack the courage to stand up to the evil that is “your” government, perhaps the courage of Edward Snowden, Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, and tiny Ecuador will give you heart.
A US senator from New Jersey, Robert Menendez, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told the Ecuadoran government that he would block the import of vegetables and flowers from Ecuador if Ecuador gives asylum to Edward Snowden. The cost to Ecuador would be one billion dollars in lost revenues.
Menendez’s statement–”Our government will not reward countries for bad behavior”–is ironic. It equates bad behavior with protecting a truth-teller and good behavior with betraying a truth-teller. Menendez’s statement is also a lie. The US government only rewards bad behavior. The US government consistently rewards those who conspire against the elected governments of their own countries, setting them up as dictators when Washington overthrows the elected governments.
Menendez’s threat did not work, but the senator did succeed in delivering yet another humiliating blow to Washington’s prestige. The Ecuadoran President, Rafael Correa, beat Menendez to the punch and cancelled the trade pact with the US on the grounds that the pact was a threat to the sovereignty of Ecuador and to moral principles and was being used by Washington to blackmail Ecuador. “Ecuador doesn’t accept pressure or threats from anyone,” added Communications Secretary Fernando Alvarado who then offered Washington foreign aid to provide human rights training to combat torture, illegal executions and attacks on peoples’ privacy.
Washington, exposed with its hand in the cookie jar devouring the privacy of the entire world and prevented by its hubris from acknowledging its illegal behavior and apologizing, has so mishandled the Snowden affair that Washington has done far more damage to itself than occurred from Snowden’s revelations. Washington has proven conclusively that it has no respect for anyone’s human rights, that it has no respect for any country’s sovereignty, that it has no respect for any moral principles, especially those it most often mouths, and that it relies on coercion and violence alone. The rest of the world now knows who its enemy is.
Washington’s presstitutes, by helping Washington demonize Snowden, Glenn Greenwald, Manning, Assange, and Ecuador, have demonstrated to the world that the US media is devoid of integrity and that nothing it reports can be believed. The US print and TV media and NPR comprise a ministry of propaganda for Washington’s immoral agendas.
On June 24, the Stasi State’s favorite whore, the Washington Post, denounced three times democratically-elected Rafael Correa as “the autocratic leader of tiny, impoverished Ecuador,” without realizing that the editorial not only demonstrated the Washington Post’s lack of any ethics whatsoever but also showed the entire world that if “tiny, impoverished Ecuador” can stand up to Washington’s threats, so can the rest of the world.
President Correa replied that the Washington Post “managed to focus attention on Snowden and on the ‘wicked’ countries that support him, making us forget the terrible things against the US people and the whole world that he denounced.” Correa added that Washington’s “world order isn’t only unjust, it’s immoral.”
The reason Washington hates Correa has nothing to do with Snowden. That Ecuador is considering asylum for Snowden is just an excuse. Correa is hated, because in the second year of his first term he repudiated the $3 billion dollar foreign debt that corrupt and despotic prior regimes had been paid to contract with international finance. Correa’s default threat forced the international financial gangsters to write down the debt by 60 percent.
Washington also hates Correa because he has been successful in reducing the high rates of poverty in Ecuador, thus building public support that makes if difficult for Washington to overthrow him from within.
Yet another reason Washington hates Correa is because he took steps against the multinational oil companies’ exploitation of Ecuador’s oil resources and limited the amount of offshore deposits in the country’s banks in order to block Washington’s ability to destabilize Ecuador’s financial system.
Washington also hates Correa for refusing to renew Washington’s lease of the air base in Manta.
Essentially, Correa has fought to take control of Ecuador’s government, media and national resources out of Washington’s hands and the hands of the small rich elite allied with Washington. It is a David vs. Goliath story.
In other words, Correa, like Venezuela’s Chevez, is the rare foreign leader who represents the interests of his own country instead of Washington’s interest.
Washington uses the various corrupt NGOs and the puppet government in Colombia as weapons against Correa and the Ecuadoran government. Many believe that it is only a matter of time before Washington succeeds in assassinating Correa.
American patriots, who feel that they should be on “their” government’s side regardless of the facts, would do well to remember what true patriotism is. For Americans, patriotism has always meant allegiance to the Constitution, not to the government. The oath is to defend the Constitution against enemies domestic and foreign. The Bush and Obama regimes have proven themselves to be the Constitution’s worst enemies. It is not possible for a true patriot to support a government that destroys the Constitution. The United States is the Constitution. Our country is not the Obama regime, the Bush regime, or some other administration. Our country is the Constitution. The Constitution is our country.
Beyond obligations to one’s own country, all humans have a responsibility to human life itself. Washington’s puppet states, such as the NATO countries, Japan, and Colombia, by providing cover and support for Washington’s aggression are enabling Washington to drive the world into World War III.
The temptation of Washington’s money easily overwhelms weak characters such as Tony Blair and David Cameron. But the governments of NATO countries and other accommodating states are not only selling out their own peoples by supporting Washington’s wars of aggression, they are selling out humanity. Washington’s hubris and arrogance grow as Washington bumps off country after country. Sooner or later Russia and China, will realize that they themselves are targets and will draw firmer lines. Arrogance will prevent Washington from acknowledging the lines, and the final war will be launched.
Washington’s hegemonic impulse is driving the world to destruction. The peoples of the world should realize this and force their governments to stop enabling Washington’s aggression.

A gun report ordered in by Obama has ended up highlighting the fact that legal guns are actually saving lives and diffusing crime. Woops!
In a recent study orchestrated by the CDC and carried out by the Institute of Medicine and National Research Council, it was found that individuals involved in violent crimes who defended themselves using techniques other than carrying a gun were more likely to be injured when compared to those who were carrying a concealed firearm.
All-in-all, the Obama ordered report ended up finding more pros than cons in regards to the right to an open or concealed weapon. The report also reminds us of the numerous causes of gun deaths, citing that most gun deaths are at the hands of those who used a gun for their suicide — not homicide. The report highlights the poor state of America’s suffering mental health. The report states that suicide by guns outweighs the amount of deaths caused by violent crimes by 61%.

“Defensive use of guns by crime victims is a common occurrence [...]. Almost all national survey estimates indicate that defensive gun uses by victims are at least as common as offensive uses by criminals, with estimates of annual uses ranging from about 500,000 to more than 3 million per year, in the context of about 300,000 violent crimes involving firearms in 2008.”

The annual renewal of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is underway on Capitol Hill.
On June 14, by a vote of 315-108, the House of Representatives passed the Fiscal Year 2014 version of the NDAA (HR 1960). Several amendments to the defense spending legislation were proposed, many of which were approved either by voice vote or en bloc. The first method of voting requires no report on how individual members voted, while the second method aggregates amendments, allowing them to be voted on in groups.
A few of the amendments represent significant improvements to the NDAA of 2012 and 2013. The acts passed for those years infamously permitted the president to deploy U.S. military troops to apprehend and indefinitely detain any American he alone believed to be aiding enemies of the state.
While the 2014 iteration doesn’t go far enough in pushing the federal beast back inside its constitutional cage, there are at least a few congressmen willing to try to crack the whip and restore constitutional separation of powers and shore up a few of the fundamental liberties suspended by the NDAA of the past two years.
First, there is the amendment offered by Representative Trey Radel (R-Fla.). Radel’s amendment requires the Department of Defense to submit to the Congress a report every year containing: (1) the names of any U.S. citizens subject to military detention, (2) the legal justification for their continued detention, and (3) the steps the Executive Branch is taking to either provide them some judicial process, or release them. Requires that an unclassified version of the report be made available, and in addition, that the report must be made available to all members of Congress.
Radel’s amendment was passed by voice vote.
Next, an amendment offered by Representative Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) would require the federal government, in habeas proceedings for U.S. citizens apprehended in the United States pursuant to the Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF), to prove by “clear and convincing evidence” that the citizen is an unprivileged enemy combatant and there is not presumption that the government's evidence is accurate and authentic.
The House approved the Goodlatte amendment by a vote of 214-211.
Finally, an amendment by Representative Paul Broun (R-Ga.) forbids the Department of Defense from killing a citizen of the United States by a drone attack unless that person is actively engaged in combat against the United States.

If it’s not this unconstitutional and godless administration advocating criminal activity in one form or another (Amnesty for illegals, IRS scandal, NSA spying, Benghazi, Obamacare, abortion, homosexuality, Fast and Furious, etc.), then they are funding the crime through taxpayer money.
Read that line again.
In some ways, it is not so much what the American people are sowing, but it is what they are letting this godless administration sow by force into a field they want everyone to harvest with them – like it or not. And if the American people are to stand back and allow this totalitarianism, then they are guilty of perpetuating this evil by refusing to stand against it.
Let me give you an analogy, taken from D.L. Moody’s book “Sowing and Reaping”:
One day, the master of Lukman, an Eastern fabulist, said to him, “Go into such a field, and sow barley.” Lukman sowed oats instead. At the time of harvest, his master went to the place and, seeing the green oats springing up, asked him:
“Did I not tell you to sow barley here? Why, then, have you sown oats?”
He answered, “I sowed oats in the hope that barley would grow up.”
His master said, “What foolish idea is this? Have you ever heard of the like?”
Lukman replied, “You yourself are constantly sowing in the field of the world the seeds of evil, and yet expect to reap in the resurrection day the fruits of virtue. Therefore I thought, also, I might get barley by sowing oats.”
The master was abashed at the reply and set Lukman free.
Oh how history will repeat itself if we do not learn from it.
Past history
What has become of the monarchies and empires of the world? What brought ruin on Babylon? Her king and people would not obey God, and ruin came upon them. What has become of Greece and all her powers? She once ruled the world.
Look at the history of America. With an open Bible, our forefathers planted slavery; but judgment came at last. In the Civil War, there was not a family North or South that didn’t mourn over someone taken from them.
Take the case of France. It is said that in the 1700s, men were spending millions every year in France in the publication and distribution of infidel literature. What was the harvest? Has France not reaped? Mark the result: The Bible was suppressed. God was denied. Hell broke loose – more than a million people were beheaded, shot, or drowned between September 1792 and December 1795.
From that time, France had 13 revolutions in 80 years; and in the republic, there was an overturn of power on an average of once every nine months. One-third of the births in Paris were illegitimate; 10,000 newborn infants had been fished out at the outlet of the city sewers in a single year; the native population of France decreased; the percentage of suicides were greater in Paris than in any city in Christendom; and after the French Revolution, there were enough French men and women slaughtered in the streets of Paris in the various insurrections to average more than 2,500 each year!
Let’s take a look at present America and see if she is making the same mistakes that others failed to learn from:
President Obama’s White House website recently unveiled a one-and-a-half-minute video, “Addressing the threat of Climate Change,” (see video below) in which he underscores his commitment to enact energy policies that he says will help stem the damage to the planet that, supposedly, is being caused by man-made emissions of carbon dioxide and other green house gases (GHGs).
A big problem for the president and others in the global warming choir is that even many of the most faithful voices in that choir are dropping out and starting to sing another tune. The British journal The Economist, one of the most revered opinion bellwethers of the chattering classes, has for years been a leading purveyor of the Al Gore-IPCC end-of-the-world fright peddling, when it comes to global warming. However, in a major about-face on June 20, “Climate change: A cooling consensus,” The Economist takes writers at the New Republic and theWashington Post to task for admitting that the global warming projections predicted by the computer models have failed, while at the same time trying to spin the results in such as way as to maintain the urgency for enacting drastic (and very costly) climate policies.

The Economist criticizes Nate Cohn at The New Republic and Brad Plumer at the Washington Post for clinging to support for policies that promise plenty of pain while offering no gain, especially since they acknowledge that time and reality have proven the predicted warming scenarios to have been false. The Economist piece notes:
Mr Cohn does his best to affirm that the urgent necessity of acting to retard warming has not abated, as does Brad Plumer of the Washington Post, as does this newspaper. But there's no way around the fact that this reprieve for the planet is bad news for proponents of policies, such as carbon taxes and emissions treaties, meant to slow warming by moderating the release of greenhouse gases. The reality is that the already meager prospects of these policies, in America at least, will be devastated if temperatures do fall outside the lower bound of the projections that environmentalists have used to create a panicked sense of emergency. Whether or not dramatic climate-policy interventions remain advisable, they will become harder, if not impossible, to sell to the public, which will feel, not unreasonably, that the scientific and media establishment has cried wolf.
The Barack Obama regime opened a new front in his war on America yesterday when he unveiled his plans to skirt Congress and cut so-called carbon pollution from existing power plants.
Most in Congress recognize the reality that the majority of Americans have concluded that anthropomorphic global warming is so much hokum and that any effort to further burden Americans with laws and regulations to stop something that doesn’t exist is a non-starter. But the collectivists, progressives and outright anti-human environmental lunatics that make up Obama’s inner circle don’t take “no” for an answer. So Obama says he’s going to regulate coal out of business.
Never mind that the first section of the first article of the Constitution grants all legislative powers to Congress; never mind that temperatures have not risen in 20 years, despite an increase in so-called “carbon pollution”; never mind that carbon dioxide is not a pollutant but is, along with oxygen, one of the two most important gasses in our atmosphere and vital to life; never mind that more regulations on energy will drive up energy costs and the prices of appliances, cars and machinery, and will further cripple the moribund economy and will drive more of the middle class toward poverty; and never mind that so-called renewable energy is not about creating renewable energy but is about transferring wealth, Obama is dead set on his agenda to destroy the American way of life.
A friend of Michael Hastings told Fox News today that the Rolling Stone journalist was working on the “the biggest story yet” about the CIA before his suspicious death and that Hastings drove “like a grandma,” making it extremely out of character for him to be speeding in the early hours of the morning.
Sgt. Joe Biggs told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly that “something didn’t feel right” after Hastings sent a panicked email saying the authorities were on his tail, adding that the story of him driving at high speed in the early hours of the morning was completely out of character.
“His friends and family that know him, everyone says he drives like a grandma, so that right there doesn’t seem like something he’d be doing, there’s no way that he’d be acting erratic like that and driving out of control,” said Biggs, adding that “things don’t add up, there’s a lot of questions that need to be answered.”
Biggs said he had contacted Mercedes asking them if it was normal for their cars to “blow up to that extent” and for the engine to fly out 100 feet from the site of the crash.
Biggs also confirmed that Hastings was working on a story about the CIA and that it was “going to be the biggest story yet.”
As we reported yesterday, questions surrounding the death of Hastings are not only the domain of conspiracy theorists. Former counter-terror czar under two different presidents Richard Clarke told the Huffington Post that the fatal crash of Hastings’ Mercedes C250 Coupe was “consistent with a car cyber attack.”
“So if there were a cyber attack on the car — and I’m not saying there was,” he said, adding “I think whoever did it would probably get away with it,” and that “intelligence agencies for major powers” have such capabilities.
The studies detail how “it is a relatively trivial exercise to access the computer systems of a modern car and take control away from the driver.”
Questions about the circumstances behind Hastings’ death have persisted because he made a number of enemies in positions of power.
After Wikileaks reported that Hastings had contacted them in the hours before his death complaining about being under investigation by the FBI, the federal agency denied the claim.
According to Hastings’ colleague Cenk Uygur, the writer was, “incredibly tense and very worried, and was concerned that the government was looking in on his material,” and also a “nervous wreck” in response to the surveillance of journalists revealed by the AP phone tapping scandal and the NSA PRISM scandal.
BuzzFeed editor Ben Smith added that Hastings had told friends and family “he was concerned that he was under investigation.”
Another close friend who wishes to remain anonymous said that Hastings was “very paranoid that he was being watched by the FBI.”
It subsequently emerged that Hastings had written a panicked email shortly before his death telling his friends and colleagues that he was going into hiding to escape the attention of the authorities.
“Hey — the feds are interviewing my “close friends and associates,” the message said. “Also: I’m onto a big story, and need to go off the [radar] for a bit.”

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Famed Pentagon Papers leaker Daniel Ellsberg had harsh words for the Obama Administration during an event here Tuesday evening, charging that the rapid expansion of government surveillance since 9/11 has left the country "a turnkey away from a police state."
"We're not a police state yet, but the foundation has been set," he continued. "It could happen overnight."
Ellsberg, 82, is a former military analyst who became one of the most famous men in America when he leaked a top-secret government report on the Vietnam War to The New York Times in 1971. He has since been a patron saint to the civil liberties movement and is viewed by many as a predecessor of modern-day leakers like Bradley Manning and now Edward Snowden, the man who recently released evidence of the National Security Agency's covert phone records collection and Internet data mining.
Speaking at a panel discussion on "our vanishing civil liberties" organized by the Berkeley chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and the anti-war activist group Code Pink, Ellsberg argued that recent revelations of the large-scale collection of Internet and cell phone data should be of grave concern to all Americans.
"Reassurances by high officials on the limits of the surveillance state are worthless," he said, referring to a speech given by President Barack Obama last week where the president defended the NSA's monitoring programs.
"Legalizing this activity doesn't make it constitutional," Ellsberg said. "Congress cannot repeal the Fourth Amendment."

According to CBS News, The number of Brigades will be slashed from 45 to 33 with a cut of 88,000 troops across the board.
In a massive restructuring, the U.S. Army is slashing the number of active duty combat brigades from 45 to 33, and shifting thousands of soldiers out of bases around the country as it moves forward with a longtime plan to cut the size of the service by 80,000.Officials say the sweeping changes would eliminate brigades at 10 Army bases in the U.S. by 2017, including in Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina, New York, Kansas and Washington. The Army will also cut thousands of other jobs across the service, including soldiers in units that support the brigades, and two brigades in Germany have already been scheduled for elimination.

We are certainly headed toward the goal of those globalists who are setting up a Post-feudalistic New World Order. We can see that we are rapidly moving toward a World Dictatorship, and it is apparent that no one in the Halls of Congress are willing to stop it.
Would you be motivated to save money if your rate of return was 0 percent? That is the situation facing many Americans looking to put their hard earned dollars into the current banking system. Underlying the zero percent stated rate however is the reality that the real rate is closer to negative three percent given the rate of inflation. To keep it short and sweet, you will lose money simply by putting it into a regular savings account or even a certificate of deposit (CD). The Federal Reserve carries a lot of power in our financial system. The mere mention of shifting course sent the markets into a financial panic. The problem of course is the Fed has conditioned a public to very low ratesand risk is being mispriced. These low rates in classical conditioning fashion have created a market addicted to lower and lower rates. The current system punishes savers and the setup has worked when we look at data to discourage saving.
Personal saving rate back to record lows
Americans implicitly or explicitly have taken the bait for which the Fed has laid out. The Fed wants people to go into debt to buy homes, cars, educations, and anything else that can be financed. Why save and wait? This motto is reflected in the amount Americans are saving:
This is basic monetary policy here. If you want to cool down an economy, you raise rates to slow down spending. You want people to spend, you lower rates. You want people to spend money they don’t have an encourage banking speculation, you create the current environment the Fed has laid out.
There is nothing inherently bad about having debt. It is a part of any modern economy. Yet the amount of debt that is currently floating in the economy is truly amazing. For US households, the breaking point seemed to be reached when households were spending more than they were earning. Seems rather obvious but that was the operating guidebook for the last few decades.
While US households have pulled back via a process deleveraging, US banks have double-down and are speculating as if the financial crisis never occurred. It isn’t entirely clear whether the low rate environment is helping out your regular American family. It is abundantly clear that it is helping the financial sector.
Low because of negative rates
The latest CPI reading shows year-over-year gains of 2.4 percent. Compare that to what you can get on a 1-year CD:
You would be losing money by locking your money up for 12 months. Short of having a place to store your cash, what other motivation would you have to save in the traditional banking system? It is clear why people are back to spending everything they got (and many are simply ignoring plans for retirement hoping that something like Social Security will be there when the time comes to not work). Of course not planning isn’t exactly a good recipe for future success but that is the default for most Americans. Given the current rates in the market and what is being provided by local too big to fail banks, many are opting to spend today or go into debt to purchase items. Hard to blame them since the Fed has essentially created this system and rewards go to those utilizing these artificially low rates.
Fed might be losing control of low rates and will likely get more aggressive
The market went into a mini-panic when the Fed mentioned it would slow down its aggressive quantitative easing. This little utterance did this to the market:
Okay, maybe in the scheme of things looking back many decades, rates are still historically low. In fact, looking at the above chart you don’t even see the movement. But let us look at the one year chart:
The 10-year rate went from 1.5 to 2.5 over this timeframe (an 86 percent move). This is enormous. Again, in the bigger picture this isn’t anything big but the Fed is conditioning the system to punish savers. Higher rates like this actually would encourage saving. So why did the market react so extreme? The reason for the market reaction was that most players in the stock market are big money investors betting on low rates for a very longtime. Anything shocking this thesis crushes their future goals. The public is merely caught up in the bigger financial shell game of pyramids of debt. Punishing savers to this level is really not a solution to our financial crisis. It would be better to allow more transparency and price discovery so that people can play on an even field. Instead, the market is guessing as to what the Fed will do next (anything but a free market). You already see negative effects of the low rate environment. The fact that you have big money buying up foreclosed homes to sell or rent back to the public with low rates shows how poorly allocated capital is in our current system.

In order for companies to hide the effects of inflation (the printing and adding of money into the supply of money), companies are simply reducing the amount of ounces given, and still charging the same price. This hides the price increase of the product, which is really just due to the fact that the Dollar is being destroyed through the printing press that runs day and night at the Federal Reserve........
While some people may believe printing money is creating wealth for free, it is not. Somebody has to pay.
To deny that “would imply revenues could be raised for free, which would imply that wealth could be created by printing more money,” Grice said. If someone were to just drop dollars from a helicopter, those closest to the helicopter would feel richer.
They would take the money and buy more goods and services, which would in turn increase demand for those goods and services and result in higher prices. In other words, those farthest from the helicopter would pay the price through reduced spending power.
Eventually, the money dropped from the Federal Reserve into the financial system will push up the prices for the goods and services we all need. Those closest to the money — banks, financiers and hedge fund managers — feel richer, but the rest of us wouldn’t because we eventually will have to pay for it with higher prices.
