At mid-day on Friday, September 23, 2011, the popular alternative news blog, ActivistPost.com, was taken offline. Activist Post receives over one million views per month and has been hosted by Google’s Blogger since its founding in June 2010.
“We remain puzzled as to why Activist Post was erased completely by Google,” said chief editor and co-founder Michael Edwards. “When we tried to load our back-up file into our secondary Blogger account, that was blocked as well,” he added.
It remains unclear whether Google has acted to censor ActivistPost.com for their controversial reporting. Google is becoming somewhat notorious for clamping down on truth and liberty activists, of which Activist Post is known for.
“Clearly, this is a huge set back for us and the work we do,” said co-founder Eric Blair. “Our entire crew is working on resolving the issue and restoring the website. We certainly look forward to an explanation from Google.”

At UN, Ahmadinejad Reprises 9/11 Claims, Rails Against Zionism
September 23, 2011
United Nations (AP) – American diplomats led a walkout at the U.N. General Assembly Thursday as Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad fiercely attacked the United States and major West European nations as "arrogant powers" ruled by greed and eager for military adventurism.
The two U.S. diplomats, who specialize in the Middle East, were followed out of the chamber by diplomats from more than 30 countries. They included the 27 European Union members, Australia, New Zealand, Somalia, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino and Macedonia, a U.N. diplomat said. Israel boycotted the speech.
Ahmadenijad's fiery anti-U.S. and anti-Israeli rhetoric has been a staple of the General Assembly's ministerial meetings.

Last year, Ahmadinejad provoked a walkout by the U.S., EU, and others when he said a majority of people in the United States and around the world believe the American government staged the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks in an attempt to assure Israel's survival.
Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad provoked yet another controversy Thursday saying a majority of people in the United States and around the world believe the American government staged the Sept. 11 terror attacks in an attempt to assure Israel's survival.
Sarkozy advocates Palestinian observer status at UN

NEW YORK – In his address to the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, French President Nicolas Sarkozy demanded a “precise timetable” for Israeli- Palestinian peacemaking and an “intermediate” stage offering the Palestinians observer state status.
“One month to resume discussions, six months to find an agreement on borders and security, one year to reach a definitive agreement,” Sarkozy said of the timeline he foresees, adding that France proposes hosting a donors conference to facilitate Palestinian attainment of a state.
“One month to resume discussions, six months to find an agreement on borders and security, one year to reach a definitive agreement,” Sarkozy said of the timeline he foresees, adding that France proposes hosting a donors conference to facilitate Palestinian attainment of a state.
“Let us stop believing that a single country or a small group of countries can resolve so complex a problem,” he said, apparently alluding to the efforts of the Middle East Quartet.
“Too many crucial players have been sidelined for our efforts to succeed.
“Who still believes that the peace process can succeed without Europe? Who still believes that it can succeed without the involvement of all the permanent members of the Security Council?” Sarkozy asked.
Saying that “we can no longer wait to take the path of peace,” he said the demand for a Palestinian state is legitimate, and that “a democratic, viable and peaceful Palestinian state would be, for Israel, the best guarantee of its security.

The Death of Common Sense
SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!!
Mark Matheny
September 22, 2011
Taken from John Sweeny Jr.
(Obituary of C. Sense)
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:-Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm;- Life isn't always fair; - And maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies, don't spend more than you can earn and adults, not children, are in charge. His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife Discretion, his daughter Responsibility, and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights,I Want It Now,Someone Else Is To Blame,I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

Jobless Claims Climb Over 400 Thousand - again...
Bloomberg
September 22, 2011
More Americans than forecast filed first-time claims for unemployment insurance payments last week as the labor market struggled to improve.
Applications for jobless benefits decreased 9,000 in the week ended Sept. 17 to 423,000, Labor Department figures showed today. Economists forecast 420,000 claims, according to the median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey. The average number of claims in the past month rose for a fifth straight week, to the highest level since July 16.
An elevated level of dismissals raises the odds U.S. companies may put off plans to increase employment, making it difficult for joblessness to fall below 9 percent. Citing ongoing weakness in the labor market, Federal Reserve policy makers announced yesterday they would use another unconventional monetary tool to spur economic growth and job gains.
“These numbers are consistent with a job market that is essentially in suspended animation,” said Brian Jones, an economist Societe Generale in New York, who correctly forecast the level of claims. “Anything that the Fed does to help the economy should help the labor market, but it takes time. We’ve got to see job growth before we can get more demand.”

California City Closes Down Bible Study in Private Home
Kurt Nimmo
Inowars.comSeptember 21, 2011
In Orange County, California, it is illegal to hold a religious meeting in your home.
This is what Chuck and Stephanie Fromm, of San Juan Capistrano, discovered when they were fined $300 earlier this month for holding a Bible study class on their property.
Officialdom in the county said the couple were singled out because it is considered illegal to hold “a regular gathering of more than three people” on private property. Officials stated that the Fromms require a license to hold meetings in their home.
San Juan Capistrano authorities claim home Bible study is not allowed because it is a “church,” and churches require a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) in residential areas.
The Fromms face additional fines of $500 per meeting for any further “religious gatherings” in their home, according to the Pacific Justice Institute.
The city’s action is a brazen violation of the First Amendment, which guarantees free worship without government intervention.
PJI and the Fromms plan to appeal a decision made by the city to uphold the fine and restriction to the California Superior Court in Orange County, according to KCOY 12 News, a Fox affiliate.
Ironically, the city of San Juan Capistrano was founded as a mission in the late 1700s by Catholic priest Junipero Serra. A local chapel established by Serra is the oldest standing building in California.

Okay to Be Openly Gay in U.S. Military
Editor's Note: This is just another step in the deterioration of the fabric of our country and our society.
CNS News
September 20, 2011
(CNSNews.com) - Nine months after President Barack Obama signed a bill repealing the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy that said homosexuals could not openly serve in the U.S. military, the “gay ban” ended Tuesday at one minute after midnight.
The first celebration took place in Vermont, where Navy Lt. Gary Ross and his civilian partner Dan Swezy were married. Ross wore his dress uniform for the double-ring ceremony, which took place at midnight -- the same moment the military’s new policy took effect.
There was no official announcement about the end of DADT on the Defense Department’s Web site early Tuesday morning, nor did the White House Web site make any mention of the fact that soldiers no longer have to conceal their homosexuality.

Rock Star Welcome for Ron Paul at the California Republican Party Convention

Ron Paul recieved an overwhelming welcome at the Republican National Convention in California on September 17, 2011.
This is what the San Fransisco Chronicler had to say about it in part:
At California's usually staid GOP state convention, hundreds of unlikely Republican activists - many sporting porkpie hats, dreadlocks and tie-dyed shirts - lined up Saturday to cast ballots in the party straw poll, then jammed meeting rooms and hallways to ecstatically greet their favorite candidate.
"President Paul! President Paul!" they chanted, carrying signs proclaiming the "Paul Revolution," as Rep. Ron Paul of Texas swept from event to event at the convention and decisively won Saturday's straw poll with 44.9 percent of the vote.

Operation Twist: Fed Ready for QE3
.
Kurt NimmoInfowars.com
September 19, 2011
Daily Forex Fundamentals, written by Danske Bank, says the FOMC will probably get QE3 rolling by the end of the year or early in 2012
“Following the continued deterioration in economic data, we expect the Fed to take action in the form of a twist in the central bank’s portfolio towards longer maturity government bonds,” the Danish bank writes.
Unless we see significant improvements in economic data over the next couple of months we deem it likely that the Fed will initiate QE3 (buying either more government bonds or mortgages). This could happen either by end 2011 or early next year. We will particularly be looking to employment data, where we need sustainable and significant improvement in the coming months, in order for QE3 to be taken off the table. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meets on Wednesday and more information on QE3 is expected at that time.
The main scenario for the Wednesday meeting will be for the Fed to start shifting its portfolio of government bonds towards holding more long-term securities and fewer short-term securities. This extension of the portfolio’s maturity is designed to push down long-term interest rates. We see this as a highly likely outcome of the meeting. The interest rate currently stands at 0.25% and the Fed may move it down to 0.10%, “in order to increase the banks’ incentive to lend.”
Big banks, however, are not in the business of lending money to Main Street. Since the fall of Glass-Steagall, banks have been in the business of buying and selling complex derivatives and writing credit default swaps. “Fees are good, bonuses come in, and the fed or government will always be there to bail them out if things get hairy,” notes UrbanDigs.com.
Interest rates at or near 0% guarantee capital destruction. “Capital destruction is the main byproduct of monetary inflation, a concept totally foreign to the inflation engineers at the USFed and its satellite central banks,” writes Jim Willie for Financial Sense.

Tony Blair used visits to Libya after he left office to lobby for business for the American investment bank JP Morgan, The Daily Telegraph has been told.
A senior executive with the Libyan Investment Authority, the $70 billion fund used to invest the country's oil money abroad, said Mr Blair was one of three prominent western businessmen who regularly dealt with Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of the former leader.
Saif al-Islam and his close aides oversaw the activities of the fund, and often directed its officials on where they should make its investments, he said.
The executive, speaking on condition of anonymity, said officials were told the "ideas" they were ordered to pursue came from Mr Blair as well as one other British businessman and a former American diplomat.
"Tony Blair's visits were purely lobby visits for banking deals with JP Morgan," he said.
He said that unlike some other deals - notably some investments run by the US bank Goldman Sachs - JP Morgan's had never turned "bad".

Jewish groups worried by Vatican gesture
More than 40 years of progress in
Catholic-Jewish relations may be called into question by attempt to reach out to
group of breakaway traditionalist Catholics, including Holocaust-denying bishop
Some Jewish groups voiced concern Friday that the Vatican might be calling into question more than 40 years of progress in Catholic-Jewish relations by reaching out to a group of breakaway traditionalist Catholics that includes a Holocaust-denying bishop.
The Vatican has been working for years to bring the breakaway Society of St. Pius X back into its fold, and this week told its members they must accept some core church teachings if they want to be fully reintegrated into the church.
But the Holy See said some expressions contained in documents from the Second Vatican Council could be left open for "legitimate discussion."
The 1962-65 Vatican II meetings brought modernizing reforms to the Catholic Church, including outreach to Jews and introduction of the Mass in the vernacular rather than Latin. The Swiss-based Society of St. Pius X was formed in 1969, opposed to many of Vatican II's reforms.

Congress Contemplates Draconian Punishment for Internet Lies
Orin S. Kerr
WSJ Online
September 17, 2011
Imagine that President Obama could order the arrest of anyone who broke a promise on the Internet. So you could be jailed for lying about your age or weight on an Internet dating site. Or you could be sent to federal prison if your boss told you to work but you used the company’s computer to check sports scores online. Imagine that Eric Holder’s Justice Department urged Congress to raise penalties for violations, making them felonies allowing three years in jail for each broken promise. Fanciful, right?
Think again. Congress is now poised to grant the Obama administration’s wishes in the name of “cybersecurity.”
The little-known law at issue is called the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. It was enacted in 1986 to punish computer hacking. But Congress has broadened the law every few years, and today it extends far beyond hacking. The law now criminalizes computer use that “exceeds authorized access” to any computer. Today that violation is a misdemeanor, but the Senate Judiciary Committee is set to meet this morning to vote on making it a felony.
The problem is that a lot of routine computer use can exceed “authorized access.” Courts are still struggling to interpret this language. But the Justice Department believes that it applies incredibly broadly to include “terms of use” violations and breaches of workplace computer-use policies.
