A Deeper Look At “The Dark Knight Rises” Shooting: A CIA Black Op?

Saman Mohammadi
July 21, 2012
The surrealist aspect of “The Dark Knight Rises” mass shooting is spooky. But what if it is even spookier than we can imagine? What if Alex Jones is right and this mass casualty event was staged by U.S. intelligence and security services to create a pro-gun control political atmosphere in the United States?

One apparent political motive is to tilt American public opinion towards gun control laws and pressure politicians into backing the Obama administration on gun control. Coincidentally, on July 27, 2012, President Obama and Hillary Clinton are going to sign the UN gun control treaty.
Another motive is to increase the role of the TSA, beef up security in all areas of society, and make the American people accept the new radical changes as necessary and legitimate.
A mass shooting is a form of political terrorism, but the political motive is not raised in the media or by police, instead it is suppressed. The suspects in almost all mass shooting cases are mute and drugged up robots who obediently hand themselves over to the authorities after they’re finished killing. They act like trained killers who go back to their owners.
So could the mass killer James Holmes be a CIA mind controlled operative? It’s possible. The CIA has trained many Jason Bourne-type killers, and has planned other state terror events, with 9/11 being the most famous example. The CIA may be playing a sick joke and twisting reality by unleashing a real Jason Bourne at a Batman screening.
Anders Breivik, the mass shooter in Norway, was connected to government intelligence and a Knights Templar group. Some people have said that he was a brainwashed patsy. Does Holmes fit this mold?
Could the Obama administration be using political terrorism to achieve their political goals of destroying the second amendment and popularizing the UN gun control treaty? It is not out of the question. They came up with Fast and Furious, which led to the deaths of Americans. So we have to remember that the White House and CIA are controlled by evil totalitarian fascists who believe the end justify the means. They are ruthless.
The demonic U.S. government has used state terrorism before to shift public opinion on an issue. Also, let’s not forget that a former Clinton official said in 2010 that only a terror attack can save the Obama administration.
None of this speculation and questioning is unjustified. We live in wild and crazy times. Life has turned into a movie, and the CIA is writing the script. With that said, it is too early to tell if the trail of blood leads to the CIA and White House. There is little concrete evidence that shows they were behind this mass shooting. There are clues and coincidences. But these are not enough to form a rock solid opinion on the matter.
I have not made my mind up yet about this incident. I have to sleep on it. It is a mistake to rush to judgment. Maybe this tragic mass shooting is connected to elements of the Deep State. Or maybe this was just a crazy guy who was hypnotized by The Dark Knight, especially the Joker character, and fantasized about killing people.
At the end of the day, we have to use our intuition. There are twists and turns in this bizarro world. Life is a mysterious adventure that is filled with terror and joy, tragedy and triumph, darkness and light. We should be surprised by nothing. And we must be willing to go to wherever the truth takes us, even if it is a very dark place.

Death-Obsessed Culture, Not Gun Rights, To Blame For ‘Batman’ Shooting

Political opportunists seize upon tragedy to attack second amendment
Paul Joseph Watson
Friday, July 20, 2012
Within hours of the tragic ‘Batman’ shooting in Aurora, Colorado, political opportunists have seized upon the incident to push for gun control, with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg demanding that both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama “stand up and tell us what they’re going to do about” mass shootings.
Exactly as we predicted in our earlier article, leftists have wasted no time in exploiting the actions of a lone lunatic for political grist, with Bloomberg calling on the two presidential candidates to crack down on gun rights.
We knew ghouls like Bloomberg would rush to exploit this tragedy to try and crush the right to self defense.
Quite how either Romney or Obama have the power to reverse a Hollywood-inspired culture that serves up lashings of violence to young people like turkey at Thanksgiving is anyone’s guess.
In addition, the notion that either of the presidential candidates can put a halt to a juggernaut pharmaceutical industry that doles out violence-causing SSRI drugs to youngsters like penny candy is clearly asinine.
“I mean, there’s so many murders with guns every day,” said Bloomberg. “It’s just gotta stop. And instead of these two people, President [Barack] Obama and Governor [Mitt] Romney talking in broad things about, they want to make the world a better place. OK. Tell us how. And this is a problem. No matter where you stand on the Second Amendment, no matter where you stand on guns, we have a right to hear from both of them, concretely, not just in generalities, specifically, what are they going to do about guns?” Bloomberg told WOR News Talk Radio 710.

President Obama's jobs panel missing in action

July 19, 2012

President Barack Obama’s Jobs Council hasn’t met publicly for six months, even as the issue of job creation dominates the 2012 election.

Editor's Note:Apparently the President is "too busy" to meet with the Jobs Council

At this point, the hiatus — which reached the half-year mark Tuesday — might be less awkward than an official meeting, given the hornet’s nest of issues that could sting Obama and the council members if the private-sector panel gets together.
For starters, there’s the discomfort many business leaders may feel in appearing to embrace the president with his reelection bid in full swing.
Then, there’s the fact that some members of the commission have conspicuously declined to endorse him. And that Obama has conspicuously declined to endorse some of their recommendations. And that some of what Obama won’t endorse has been warmly embraced by Republicans, including likely GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
To cap it all off, several of the companies whose CEOs serve on the panel are involved to some extent in outsourcing — a fact that could undercut the ferocious attack Obama and his campaign are mounting on Romney over his alleged ties to the practice.
One former administration official said the current political atmosphere could be prompting the CEOs and other business leaders to lie low.
“The thing is supposed to be bipartisan, so a lot of times they don’t want to get into things that could be used by either side in the election,” said the former aide, who asked not to be named. “The businesspeople, for the most part, don’t want to get into the middle of political fighting.”

Obama, Putin talk as U.S. says Assad losing grip on Syria

July 19, 2012

(Reuters) - The United States said on Wednesday that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was losing control of his country and urged Russia and the international community to get behind a political transition plan to avert sectarian civil war.
U.S. President Barack Obama called Russian President Vladimir Putin - Assad's main international supporter - after a Damascus bomb blast killed Syria's defense minister and Assad's brother-in-law, throwing the 16-month old rebellion onto an unpredictable new path.
"The window is closing, we need to take action in a unified way to help bring about the transition that the Syrian people so deserve," White House spokesman Jay Carney said at a news conference.
The White House said Obama discussed the deteriorating Syrian situation with Putin, whose government has repeatedly blocked efforts to rally the U.N. Security Council behind tough measures against Damascus.
But while the two leaders agreed on the need to stop the violence, both Russian and U.S. officials said they ended the call divided over the best way forward.
"They noted the differences our governments have had on Syria, but agreed to have their teams continue to work toward a solution," the White House said in a statement.

Hidden History of Militias Protecting Liberty in 20th Century. Before They Were Called Oath Keepers

Photo of HutareeII, a Militia group recently cleared of plotting to overthrow the U.S. government

Today the word Militia is a bad word to be looked upon with disdain and contempt in political circles in Washington. These are power mad people who seek the dominate every facet of our lives if we let them have their way. The militia is a part of our history throwing out tyranny from our midst, It has been a force for good. I will share with you why.
We all know that all veterans, even those returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan are now a national security threat according to the Department of Homeland Security. This federal agency made publications they passed out to Law Enforcement all around the country. They did not make this classification by pulling a thought out of their rectal cavity.  They made that statement from a historical standpoint on returning war veterans as one of the examples. This is why the US Government does not want veterans to be armed.
In 1946, Group of WWII veterans took back control in the town in Athens Tennessee. The local Sheriff tried to rig the election when they seen they were being thrown out of office. The town has been tyrannized by local corruption while the men were off fighting a war. They did not like the changes they came home to and would not tolerate tyranny any longer. When the former GIs said enough after seeing what has happened when they were away. The WWII veterans by force of arms took back the town when all peaceful measures have failed. They were not afraid to use their guns and shoot if necessary.

National Security Threat: Obama’s Birth Certificate Proven Fraudulent

One of the biggest cover-ups in U.S. political history
Paul Joseph Watson
Wednesday, July 18, 2012
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s cold case posse has confirmed that President Barack Obama’s birth certificate is “definitely fraudulent,” prompting the media and political establishment to launch a frenzied spin campaign in an effort to deflect attention from the astounding new evidence uncovered by the investigation.
In addition to the deluge of previous evidence clearly proving Obama’s long form birth certificate had been tampered with, including the fact that when analyzed the document clearly shows that layered text has been added in artificially and that the scan of the document is not an original, Arpaio and his posse unearthed tantalizing new information.
The most stunning revelation is the fact that in numerous places, Obama’s birth certificate has had information added at a later date than the original.
The posse was able to obtain the original 1961 coding guide used to fill in the birth certificates at the exact time Obama’s document was filed. For example, when describing the “race of father,” the number 9 on the coding guide indicates “unknown or not stated.”
The number 9 appears on Obama’s birth certificate in section 9 entitled “race of father.” This means that the race of Obama’s father was unknown or not stated at the time the original birth certificate was filed. However, the box also contains the word “African,” which was not even used as a descriptive term at the time. The fact that the document contradicts itself in that it denotes the “race of father” as not stated but then also “African” clearly indicates that “African” was added in at a later date.
The same error can be found in box 12b, “kind of business or industry,” which is also marked with a number 9 to denote ‘not stated’ yet also contains the word “University,” again clearly suggesting the document was tampered with at a later date.
Sheriff Arpaio has now promised to elevate the issue to a higher authority within the federal government.
“Although I am having a difficult time deciding who to forward this information to given the fact that the obvious choices report directly to the president, I cannot stand by and hold on to information that threatens to weaken national security,” said Arpaio.
If you’re wondering how the media and the political establishment will respond to this latest bombshell evidence that Obama’s background is completely fraudulent, look no further than two of the individuals featured in a Fox 10 news report.
Instead of attempting to respond to the astounding facts about the fraudulent nature of the birth certificate unearthed during the investigation, critics resorted to emotional manipulation.
Former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods labeled the issue “an absolute joke” and questioned why Arpaio would even look into the matter, before falsely claiming that most conservatives had “given up on this issue,” when in reality polls show that a majority of likely Republican voters believe that Obama was born in another country. Woods also labeled the matter “fake” and “offensive,” relying on the use of emotive words rather than challenging the facts surrounding the suspect birth certificate.
Democrat Paul Penzone, who is running against Arpaio for Maricopa County Sheriff, also displayed a jaw-dropping disregard for irony when he responded to the new evidence by stating, “I feel like it’s groundhog day, I’m hearing the same thing over and over again but you’re not going to convince me otherwise – I don’t want to hear any more.”
In other words, ‘my mind’s already made up – don’t bother me with the facts.’
“The media has demeaned this investigation at every turn as silly and wasteful,” said Lisa Allen, MCSO spokesperson. “We simply ask right now that you put your preconceived notions about this listen to the facts and if you can keep an open mind.”
However, none of the criticism of the investigation has dared to address the facts because they cannot be shot down. Instead, opponents of Sheriff Arpaio have cast aspersions about political motivations behind the investigation while others have resorted to name calling and petty jibes.
No matter what spin the media and political establishment attempt to put on this, the facts cannot be denied. President Obama’s birth certificate betrays innumerable instances clearly indicating that the document has been tampered with in an effort to manufacture the myth that Obama was born in the United States.
The manifestly logical conclusion that he was not creates an urgent national security threat and represents one of the biggest cover-ups in U.S. political history.

Refinancing debt into prosperity – most mortgage activity for refinances with applications up 97 percent from last year and car sales are down by over 50 percent from 2001.

July 17, 2012

Shuffling papers around on your desk does not mean you are being productive but might give the appearance of activity.  Refinancing debt in countries in an insolvent position may feel good for the moment, but ultimately the position is unsustainable.  You buy yourself a window of opportunity.  With the Federal Reserve pushing mortgage rates to historical lows and allowing banks to borrow at virtually interest free terms, the market is creating a window of time to exit this mountain of debt.  Is this even feasible?  Not likely and millions of Americans have already lost their homes via foreclosure.  Many are using the current opportunity to refinance debt but is it stimulating real economic activity?  If we look at some data, the current housing boom in the headlines does not look so mighty.
The hoopla in the housing market
It is interesting to take a look at mortgage loan application data. Applications for refinances are up 97 percent for the year:
mortgage refinance activity
Yet look at the purchase data.  We are near the bottom.  So where else are the home sales coming from?  A big portion of the sales are coming from investors and many times they purchase homes without mortgages so they do not show up in the above data.  Yet the big jump in refinancing activity is essentially just freeing up money for people that already own a home.  This is good for those that can take advantage of the low rates created by theFederal Reserve but housing demand is not as robust as it would appear in the mainstream press.
The housing market is struggling because Americans are in a tough economic situation.  The employment situation is still very fragile.  We still have 46,000,000 Americans on food stamps and another 1 out of 6 are receiving Social Security benefits.  Another one out of three has zero in savings and is unlikely to be prepared for the years ahead in retirement.  The picture of retirement is likely to include work.  Shuffling employment numbers might look like something is happening but the recession is still very much alive for many Americans.
Let us examine vehicle sales:
car buying us
At some point in the insane bubble days we were selling well over 20 million vehicles a year.  This figure was reached in 2001 and 2005.  Those days are long gone.  Even today with massive incentives and additional perks we have managed to get back on pace to a 14 million annual sales figure.  Not bad but we are still lagging the 2001 figure by over 50 percent.  In 2001 gas was under $2.00 a gallon.  Today gas is over $3.50 a gallon yet wages are actually lower.  Is it any wonder why vehicle sales have fallen so dramatically?
The working and middle class is being squeezed.  Since the debt bubble popped, most of the bailouts and proposals to fix the problem have revolved around reshuffling or refinancing debt.  Take Greece and Spain for example.  Bailout after bailout is basically providing additional time for the country to create a GDP pace that can never catch up to the insurmountable debt on their books.  This window of opportunity is really to provide the large banks a window of time to exit stage left while someone else is left holding the bag.
The reshuffling is happening but some are making out:
mean value of fin assets
Only the top 10 percent have really done well over the last few decades (more to the point, it is really the top one percent that has scored major net worth gains while your average family has seen their net worth plummet by 40 percent from 2007 to 2010).  The economy has become one giant game of denial.  Does anyone believe we’ll ever payback the $15 trillion in debt we owe as a nation?  To the contrary, we are going even deeper in debt.  Europe is simply extending more loans to countries that simply cannot produce their way out of their massive obligations.  Banks do not want to negotiate so they rather squeeze the public dry.  Like the first chart, we are in a refinancing fury but not much is really changing.  It appears some are opting to believe in the refinancing to prosperity mantra.

Sheriff Arpaio News Conference on Obama Birth Certificate

July 17, 2012

In a highly anticipated press conference held in Maricopa County Arizona yesterday, Sheiff Joe Arpaio provided what he calls irrefutable proof that the document claimed as Obama's long form birth certificate is in fact a fraud.

NRA: "All In" Against Obama and the UN "Gun Grab" Treaty

July 17, 2012

The threats by the UN Arms Trade Treaty to the Second Amendment have been made well aware at this point and in ten days, the terms of the treaty will be finalized. Despite the UN’s feigned claims to the contrary, like a Myths & Facts section in the press kit, actions seems to speak louder than words:
The U.N. is aware of the political dangers of appearing to stomp openly on the Second Amendment. It uses code words; it runs closed meetings—a veteran of the process tells me that meetings were normally open until the National Rifle Association began showing up at them—and, above all, it plays a long game. A big problem with talking about the ATT as a “gun grab” treaty is that the U.N. works by taking slices: when it comes to the U.N., being outraged by one development is no substitute for focusing on how the slices pile up over time.
Lest we forget how we’ve arrived at this point in the first place though. In October 2009, the Obama administration voted for the U.S. to participate in negotiating the ATT – a dramatic reversal of the Bush administration’s position. This reversal, of course, comes as no surprise to avid defenders of the Second Amendment and was deeply concerning to dozens of U.S. Senators. After all though, the administration’s utter disdain for Americans’ constitutional right to bear arms is ubiquitous. Attempts to undermine it are happening by more of a ‘death by a thousand cuts’ strategy, however, rather than a single, more conspicuous blow. It’s evident in everything from Fast and Furious to the ATT and unleashing OSHA on a gun range fining spree (a must-read).
Well, the NRA isn’t having any of it and recently came out with an excellent video, which makes that point very clear, while also offering a good run-down of the treaty, how it could affect Americans and the Obama administration’s role in all of this.
Clips from the video:
From at speaker at the UN: “It’s my firm conviction that illicit trade cannot be tackled without involving the legal arms trade.”
“They claim they want to stop small arms from going to terrorist and guerilla groups but this small arms treaty really isn’t gonna do anything to stop that…”
“What you’ll wind up with is gun control on an international level specifically designed to be used against honest law abiding people.”
“Our freedoms are not negotiable.”
The Heritage Foundation’s Ted Bromund on the four most important domestic concerns posed by the treaty:
1.     Transfer requirements. First, there are specific textual requirements. The most recent draft text states, for example, that the ATT will apply to “all international transfers of conventional arms” but then goes on to define “international transfers” as “the transfer of title or control over the conventional arms.”
Does this mean that any transfers, including domestic ones, count as international and are thus subject to the treaty’s provisions? There are similar concerns related to the potential reporting requirements of the treaty and thus to the possible creation of a U.N.-based gun registry. If it is to be true to its published red lines, the U.S. cannot accept any of this.
2.     International business. Second, most major U.S. arms manufacturers have an international financing, insurance, and parts and components chain. The ATT could become a means for foreign countries to pressure U.S. firms to exit the market, reducing the ability of Americans to make effective use of their firearms rights.
3.     Further review of the rules. This is not the end of the process. The ATT will be elaborated at review conferences, where the U.S. goal is to develop “best practices” for its implementation. Similarly, if President Obama were to sign the ATT but not submit it to the Senate for ratification, the U.S. would hold itself obligated to “refrain from acts which would defeat the object and purpose” of the ATT.
4.     Constitutional interpretation. Finally, the ATT is part of a process that will inspire judges and legal theorists who believe that the Constitution needs to be reinterpreted in light of transnational norms. This is the most important problem of all, though it is broader than the ATT.

I’ll leave you with a parting quote from Thomas Jefferson: "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

Indian Fishermen Say US Boat Fired Without Warning

July 17, 2012

(Reuters) - Indian fishermen who survived a hail of gunfire from a U.S. navy boat off the coast of the United Arab Emirates disputed U.S. claims that their boat drew fire after ignoring warnings to steer clear of the American vessel.
One Indian was killed and three others injured on Monday when the USNS Rappahannock, a refueling ship, fired on the fishing vessel, which the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet said approached at high speed and ignored repeated warnings.
The incident highlighted the potential for a rapid escalation of tensions in Gulf waters, where U.S. forces are expanding their presence as Washington ramps up pressure on Iran over its nuclear program.
The fishermen, hospitalized with gunshot wounds after the incident near Dubai's Jebel Ali port, said on Tuesday that they received no warning before the U.S. craft opened fire, and that their craft had attempted to avoid any contact with it.
"We had no warning at all from the ship, we were speeding up to try and go around them and then suddenly we got fired at," 28-year-old Muthu Muniraj told Reuters from hospital, his legs punctured by the rounds of the U.S. craft's .50-caliber gun.

News Alert
July 17, 2012

At a news conference Tuesday in Phoenix that will belive-streamed by WND, Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his Cold Case Posse will present “indisputable proof” the Obama birth document released by the White House is a forgery, according to the posse’s lead investigator.
Mike Zullo said the new information was developed during an investigative trip to Hawaii in May.
The press conference will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. [Local time will be 2:30 p.m., as Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time].

The investigative team also promises to release more conclusions drawn from computer analysis of the document the White House released April 27, 2011. The White House claimed the document was “proof positive” that Obama is eligible for the presidency under Article 2, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution.
At the March 1 conference, as WND reported, Arpaio and his Cold Case Posse announced that probable cause exists to believe that the document purported to be Obama’s original, long-form birth certificate is a forgery. The posse said it also found probable cause to believe that Obama’s Selective Service registration form is fraudulent.

The U.S. Will Wait until November to "Assist" Syrian Rebels

Mark Matheny
July 17, 2012

Will the U.S. be giving support to the Syrian rebels in their fight to overthrow Bashar Al Assad? Apparently no help from the United States will happen until after the coming November elections.

Tom Donilon, the White House National Security Adviser, has made it "abundantly clear" that the Obama administration will hold off with any support until after the elections in November, according to sources close to Donilon.

According to the Telegraph, the Syrian Support Group which is a wing of the Free Syrian Army, has requested from the United States "1,000 RPG-29 anti-tank missiles, 500 SAM-7 rockets, 750 23mm machine guns as well as body armour and secure satellite phones. They also asked for $6m to pay rebel fighters as they battle the regime. All their requests were rejected."

The odd thing about the recent announcement to wait, made by the White House is the fact that there are new unconfirmed  "reports" of  chemical weapons being transported and stored by the Assad Regime.

The fact that the U.S. is not ready to openly supply and support the rebel forces certainly shows that the reports of WMDs in Syria are either untrue, or at least unconfirmed by the U.S. and therefore urgency is not on the table.

The unconfirmed report was given by a high ranking Syrian defector Nawaf Fares, former Syrian Ambassador to Iraq, according to the C.S.Monitor.

"There is some information, unconfirmed information of course, that chemical weapons have been used partially in Homs, ...However, I have absolute conviction that if the circle of the people of Syria becomes tighter on the regime, the regime will not hesitate to use chemical weapons."

Fares claims that the Assad regime will not hesitate to use chemical weapons if backed into a corner.

According to another report, some of Assad's top officials (including Fares) have fled Syria:
Several high-placed generals bolted Bashar Assad’s inner circle Sunday, July 17, including such key figures as two security services chiefs who were operations commanders of the Alawite Shabiha militia plus the former head of Syria’s chemical and biological administration who took six other generals with him. They all fled to Turkey and defected. A fourth senior general from another security service was assassinated in Aleppo.
Russia has sent 6 warships near Syria recently, but has denied that it has anything to do with the mounting tensions growing in the region.

Currently the U.S. has two aircraft carriers in the region as well. According to the Wall Street JournalGen. Little said the need comes from a "wide range of security issues" in the region. "This is not about any one particular country or any one particular threat," he said.

Law of the Sea treaty dead

Sean Lengell
July 16, 2012
The Law of the Sea Treaty now has 34 senators opposed and thus will not have the Senate votes for ratification, a key opponent of the treaty announced Monday.
Critics of the treaty had argued that LOST would require the U.S. to subject its sovereignty to an international body, require U.S. businesses to pay royalties for resource exploitation, and subject the U.S. to unwieldy environmental regulations as defined in the treaty.
“4 additional senators have joined in opposition to LOST, including Mike Johanns (R-NE), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH), Rob Portman (R-OH) and Johnny Isakson (R-GA). With 34 senators against the misguided treaty, LOST will not be ratified by the Senate this year,” Sen. Jim DeMint, South Carolina Republican, said in a statement on his website.

U.S. Navy Fires on Boat in Persian Gulf
July 16, 2012
A security team aboard the oil supply ship U.S.N.S. Rappahannock fired on a boat in the Persian Gulf today, killing one and injuring three others.
The Navy’s 5th Fleet, based in nearby Bahrain, said the U.S. ship fired a .50 caliber machine gun at a “small motor vessel after it disregarded warnings and rapidly approached the U.S. ship” near the coast of Jebel Ali, about 30 miles from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, according to ABC News.

The Navy released the following on its website:
In accordance with Navy force protection procedures, the sailors on the USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204) used a series of non-lethal, preplanned responses to warn the vessel before resorting to lethal force.
The U.S. crew repeatedly attempted to warn the vessel’s operators to turn away from their deliberate approach. When those efforts failed to deter the approaching vessel, the security team on the Rappahannock fired rounds from a .50-caliber machine gun.
Earlier this year, the U.S. Navy claimed it was harassed by Iranian boats. CNN reported on January 13:
The USS New Orleans, an amphibious transport ship was sailing through the Strait of Hormuz into the Persian Gulf l[on January 6] when three Iranian Navy speed boats rapidly approached within 500 yards of the ship, the official said. The Iranians did not respond to whistle signals or voice queries from the New Orleans. The lack of response disregards standard maritime protocols, the official said. The boats eventually broke away.
On the same day, the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Adak was also harassed by high-speed Iranian Navy boats while operating 75 miles east of Kuwait City. Iranian personnel in the small boats appeared to be holding AK-47 rifles and at least one video camera, the official said. U.S. personnel on the cutter also reported seeing a forward gun that was manned on one of the Iranian boats, according to the official. Eventually, communications with a larger Iranian vessel in the area were established and the speed boats stopped their harassment.
No shots were fired in either incident, both of which were videotaped. The Pentagon may release that footage later Friday.
In 2008, the Bush administration claimed Iran had engaged in aggressive maneuvers near U.S. warships in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran later said the U.S. had fabricated a video allegedly showing the Iranian speedboats. “Images released by the U.S. Department of Defense about the Navy vessels were made from file pictures, and the audio was fabricated,” an unnamedRevolutionary Guard official said in January, 2008.
In January, we reported on the comments of former Israeli intelligence officer Avi Perry who predicted a “surprise” Pearl Harbor-style Iranian attack on an American warship in the Persian Gulf as a pretext for the U.S. to launch an all-out attack on Iran.
“The US would retaliate by attacking Iran’s navy, their military installations, missile silos, airfields. The US would target Iran’s ability to retaliate, to close down the Strait of Hormuz. The US would then follow by targeting the regime itself,” he wrote.
“I can’t emphasize enough that this has nothing to do with Iran,” a U.S. official said after the boat was fired on earlier today.

( – On her first visit to Egypt since the country’s post-revolution, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was confronted by allegations that the Obama administration had quietly backed the Muslim Brotherhood in its successful quest for the presidency.
At various stops in Cairo and Alexandria this past weekend, demonstrators protested her visit, with one liberal youth organization, the Front for Peaceful Change, issuing a statement accusing the U.S. of making secret deals with the Muslim Brotherhood.
An article on the anti-Clinton protests in Al-Wafd, a daily newspaper published by the liberal Wafd Party, carried the headline, “The she-devil in the presidential palace.”
Some prominent Coptic Christian activists and lawmakers in the – currently suspended – parliament refused to meet with Clinton.
A joint statement from four of them accused the U.S. of demonstrating its support for Islamists above other political forces in Egypt – an allegation frequently aired over recent months in Egyptian media and on social networking Web sites.
One of the four, lawmaker and political analyst Emad Gad, told Al-Ahramnewspaper the U.S. government had also secretly agreed to back Brotherhood presidential candidate Mohamed Morsi – now sworn in as president – in return for assurances that a Morsi government would not restore ties with Iran and would pressurize the Palestinian group Hamas into halting attacks against Israel.
(Hamas is the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, set up by the Egyptian organization in 1987. The group, which seized control of the Gaza Strip in 2007 amid bloody fighting against the Fatah faction, is designated by the U.S. as a “foreign terrorist organization.”)
Gad predicted that President Obama would face accusations during his election campaign of having backed Islamists in the region at the expense of non-Islamist forces.

Is Assad Moving Chemical Weapons? - Or is this More WMD White House Propaganda to Invade Syria By U.S.?

Mark Matheny
July 16, 2012

Remember the reports of WMDs by the Bush administration against Iraq? It was used to invade Saddam's country, and yet the reports were false, and there were never found any traces of WMDs in Iraq.

Now the Obama administration is saying the same thing of Syria....

Media sources such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Examiner  are now promoting this fear that Assad may be tranporting and preparing to use chemical weapons against rebel forces fighting against the Assad Regime.

According to the Washington Examiner "members of the Syrian opposition say they fear that an increasingly desperate President Bashar al-Assad is prepared to attack them with chemical weapons as control of the country slips away from him, according to an analyst who met with them recently."

Both Colin Powell and Condeleeza Rice admitted in 2001 that Iraq had no WMDs before the invasion, yet reports by the media whores had Americans believing the hype.

Until harder substantiated evidence can be produced Showing WMDs in Syria, take this with a grain of salt, and a good shot of whiskey.

They said the same thing of Iraq- Remember?

Grocery prices headed higher as drought lingers
July 16, 2012
Steve Niedbalski shows his drought and heat stricken corn in Nashville Ill. Farmers in parts of the Midwest are dealing with the worst drought in nearly 25 years.

Shoppers across the country should stand up and take notice of the Midwestern drought that has already hurt supplies of corn and soybeans.
The drought will lead to higher prices when you head to the supermarket for everything from milk to meat. How high will depend on what happens with rain and high temperatures in the Corn Belt in the next few weeks.
“We’re at the cusp of seeing how severely this is going to impact consumer prices,” said Darrel Good, professor emeritus of agricultural and consumer economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The drought and heat, he continued, “has already done permanent damage to the crops but our concern is the outlook for the weather is not very good and we’re expecting a further deterioration.”
If that happens, he continued, “Prices will go up ever higher and have more severe and long-lasting impacts.”
In a pricing twist that may sound counterintuitive, prices in the next few weeks for certain products may end up being major deals as a result of the drought.
For example, you may want to make room in your freezer for meat because prices for beef and pork are expected to drop in the next few months as farmers slaughter herds to deal with the high cost of grains that are used as livestock feed, said Shawn Hackett of the agricultural commodities firm Hackett Financial Advisors Inc., in Boynton Beach, Fla. But, he added, everything from milk to salad dressings are going to cost you more in the near term, and in the long term the meat deals will evaporate as demand outstrips supply.
Agriculture experts and economists largely agree that the weather conditions are expected to hurt corn crops, and in turn will impact retail prices in the weeks ahead. But we won’t know the full impact of the drought until early August or September, said Richard Volpe, research economist for the Economic Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Rain is in short supply across most of the country and you could be paying the price for it at the grocery store. NBC's Janet Shamlian reports.
“We don’t yet know what’s going to happen and we don’t yet know how severe the drought will be and the amount we end up getting at the end of the corn harvest,” he stressed.
The USDA provides monthly estimates of food prices but the June data showing increases of less than 5 percent for key items such as dairy and meat products does not take the recent grain issues into account. Updated figures on the drought’s impact will be released July 25.
Volpe wouldn’t provide specific projections based on conditions now, but he did say price increases for milk, that were expected to be flat or decline this year, could head up “if there’s a major jump in feed prices.”
At this point, he added, “there’s been enough damage that we know we’re not going to have a record crop in field corn. Now the question is, how far below the record crop is this going to fall? What happens in next two weeks will drive what happens to corn and that will have an affect on all food prices.”
Field corn, also known as feed corn -- which is different from the sweet corn many of us eat during our barbecues -- is in about 74 percent of the foods consumers buy in supermarkets, he pointed out.
This year, corn supplies were expected to be more than ample because many growers in the Corn Belt -- including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota -- increased acreage of the crop to meet growing global demand, said John Riley, assistant extension professor at Mississippi State University. “But it will now fall short because of the drought and heat,” he noted.
The price for a bushel of corn hit $7.48 a bushel at the Chicago Board of Trade this week, and government figures now project this year and next that a bushel will be as much as $6.40 a bushel, up significantly from last month's projections of $4.20 to $5 a bushel.
The expected rise in food prices is nothing new for consumers. “Food price inflation in 2011 was well above normal,” explained Corinne Alexander, an agricultural economist at Purdue University. Grocery store food inflation was 4.8 percent last year, she said, and the expectations were of about 2 percent this year.
“The drought means above normal food price inflation in 2012, and going into 2013,” he noted.
While prices for processed foods such as cereal are not expected to rise considerably unless the shortages get much worse because producers had already instituted huge price hike last year, she continued.
But, she added, the cost of things like oil and salad dressing are likely to rise because soybean crops have also been impacted.
The food-price roller coaster is a scary ride consumers have been on for some time. There have been tight supplies going back to 2006, said Mississippi State’s Riley. “Weather events and a bump up in demand for corn for renewable fuel,” he explained, have all contributed to the problem.
When asked if consumers should start praying for rain, he said, “any rain moving forward is a blessing and is going to help, but I don’t know if it’s going to make it better.”
