Obama readies July climate plan

The Hill
June 14, 2013
President Obama intends to unveil a package of second-term climate change policies in July, according to a news account.
Bloomberg reports that Obama, at closed-door fundraisers in recent weeks, “has been telling Democratic party donors that he will unveil new climate proposals in July.”
The story cites sources that attended the events or have been briefed. Bloomberg notes that a person “close to the White House” said final decisions are still being made about the plan.

Russia Hits Back at U.S. Over Syria -WSJ

MOSCOW—The Kremlin Friday dismissed as unconvincing evidence that U.S. officials provided of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad's alleged use of chemical weapons and criticized Washington's decision to arm Syrian opposition fighters, but stopped short of threatening to deliver air-defense missiles to the Assad government in response.
A senior Kremlin official said Moscow is "not yet" discussing the delivery of the advanced air-defense system in the wake of the U.S. decision. Last month, Russian officials threatened to fulfill the 2010 contract for the S-300 missiles as a way to deter potential outside military intervention in the two-year-old Syrian civil war. Western powers and Israel have staunchly opposed the sale of the system.
Both Moscow and the U.S. are pushing the warring sides in Syria to enter peace talks in the coming months. But opposition forces have appealed for more weapons and support in recent weeks as they've lost ground against Mr. Assad's troops and their allies from the Iranian-backed Hezbollah group. The Kremlin opposes any international action against its longtime client, Mr. Assad, and has been skeptical of past Western claims that his forces were using chemical weapons.
Thursday, President Barack Obama authorized the U.S. administration to arm fighters against the Assad regime, reversing a long-running policy of giving only nonlethal support to the country's opposition. The White House cited confirmation that Mr. Assad's regime had killed up to 150 people with chemical weapons as the reason for its about-face.

U.S. Military Proposal to Arm Rebels Includes No-Fly Zone in Syria-WSJ

WASHINGTON—A U.S. military proposal for arming Syrian rebels also calls for a limited no-fly zone inside Syria that would be enforced from Jordanian territory to protect Syrian refugees and rebels who would train there, according to U.S. officials.

U.S. to Arm Syrian Rebels-WSJ

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama authorized his administration to provide arms to rebels fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, officials said Thursday, a major policy shift after the White House said it had confirmed that Damascus used chemical weapons in the country's civil war.

Biblical Verses:

Daniel 7:20:
20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, **before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully.  ** Egypt,Syria and Libya??? (note: Egypt and Libya both fell under Obama, who is the " horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke great boastful  words", and now Syria is next on the list. these are the three kingdoms noted.)
Psalm 83:1-8:
O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
“Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you—
1the tents of Edom and 2the Ishmaelites,
    of 3Moab and 4the Hagrites,
5Byblos, 6Ammon and 7Amalek,
8Philistia, with 9the people of Tyre.
Even 10Assyria has joined them
to reinforce Lot’s descendants. -(the ten horns of Revelation 17)

Revelation 17:12-14:
12 The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast. 13 They have one purpose and will give their power and authority to the beast. 14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Cooking Climate Consensus Data: “97% of Scientists Affirm AGW" Debunked
The survey by Australian global-warming activist John Cook, released recently with a massive media sendoff, is rapidly melting, as scientists and statisticians subject it to analysis. And now it's leaking out that Cook’s e-mails show he was scheming on this fraudulent survey to promote a leftist political agenda for well over a year. Cook made a big media splash in May with the publication of a study by him and several co-authors claiming to prove that climate scientists overwhelmingly support the theory that human activity is warming the planet to dangerous levels. Cook’s claims received their biggest boost on May 16, when President Barack Obama tweeted: “Ninety-seven percent of scientists agree:#climate change is real, man-made and dangerous.”
The mainstream media and climate-alarmist blogosphere uncritically accepted the Cook study and trumpeted the consensus claims as gospel. We reported on May 21 ("Global Warming 'Consensus': Cooking the Books") on the critiques of the Cook study by experts who show that Cook cooked the data. Out of the nearly 12,000 scientific papers Cook’s team evaluated, only 65 endorsed Cook’s alarmist position. That’s less than one percent, not 97 percent. Moreover, as we reported, the Cook study was flawed from the beginning, using selection parameters designed to weight the outcome in favor of the alarmist position.
In a May 22 follow-up article ("Climate 'Consensus' Con Game: Desperate Effort Before Release of UN Report"The New American reported on additional problems with the Cook study and cited a large and growing list of eminent climate scientists — including Nobel Prize recipients and scientists who served on the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) — who challenge the claim that there is any “scientific consensus” on climate change, or that “the science is settled” in favor of the Al Gore alarmist position.

Risk of Global Financial Freeze-up Rising

August Forecast & Review
June 13, 2013

If you thought it couldn’t happen again, get ready: A new global financial freeze-up could be straight ahead.
It’s too bad that economics, trade, finance, etc., are such boring topics to most people. Well, they actually are boring because they are hard to understand, fraught with erroneous data, and difficult to relate to personal circumstances.
By necessity, most Americans are concerned with their own critical problems, like paying the mortgage, keeping their job and holding their families together. That’s understandable. In spite of the rosy spin on economic data, the middle class continues to get squashed.
In January 2013, 23,087,866 households received food stamps. That’s 889,154 more households than January 2012. Given that there are some 115,310,000 households in the U.S., it means that a full 20 percent of America cannot adequately feed itself.
The above chart shows the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) since 2000, when the baby-boomer demographic dynamic kicked in. The red line is simply the demographic element, while the blue line is the actual participation rate. Since 2000, the actual rate has declined from 67.3 percent to 63.3 and since the recession, has significantly plunged below the “norm.” The LFTR has fallen back to a level not seen since 1980.
Whatever the reason might be for someone who leaves the workforce (retirement, gave up looking, disability) the fact is that since the recession, there has been no real employment recovery, and things continue to get worse, not better.
Not unexpectedly, the increase in food stamp recipients just about matches employment dropouts. If this is the case, then there are a multitude of other statistics that would follow along: Medical payments, unemployment, welfare payments, etc.
Whatever fragile uptick in economic activity that might have occurred in the last 24 months, it hasn’t been been enough to reverse the deterioration of the middle class and the swelling of those on poverty roles.
America is not isolated in this experience. Europe, China, Australia, India, Brazil, Japan, etc., are generally worse off than we are. Ambrose Evans-Pritchard writes in The Telegraph (UK):
The closely-watched ISM index of US factories tumbled through the “boom-bust line” of 50 to 49, far below expectations. It is the lowest since the depths of the crisis in mid-2009 and a clear sign that US budget cuts are starting to squeeze the economy. New orders plunged 3.5 to 48.8 on weak foreign demand and reduced federal contracts.
The news came hours after HSBC said its index for China also fell below 50, a major inflexion point for the world’s industrial workshop.
“This is not a good moment for the world economy,” said David Bloom, currency chief at HSBC. “The manufacturing indices came in weaker than expected in China, Korea, India and Russia, and then we got America’s ISM.
“We thought we had a clear picture that the US was recovering, Japan was printing money and were we’re back to happy days, and now suddenly a huge spanner [wrench] has been thrown in the works.”
On June 2, Bloomberg reported that “Global Interbank Lending Falls to Record Low, BIS Reports.” The fraternal global banking community is harboring a mutual distrust as they wonder who will implode and leave them with huge losses. It’s getting progressively worse as currency and interest rate wars heat up. The liquidity crisis of 2007 – 2008 was caused by the same type of distrust, when banks refused to lend to each other.
Liquidity in the global financial system is like oil to a car engine: If it drains out, the engine will freeze up and burn. With economic malaise infecting the entire global economy, the entire engine of the global economy is at risk of seizing up, which could push the entire system into deep recession or even depression.
Adding to the strain is the sharp rise in interest rates on a global basis, and especially in the U.S. The Fed’s policy of lower interest rates is being torpedoed by market forces, putting it at risk for huge portfolio losses. Why? because all of its Quantitative Easing program involves purchasing and holding Treasury bonds, bills, notes and mortgage-backed securities, in return for which the Treasury received cash. When rates go up, the value of bonds declines. As of June 5, 2013, the Fed’s combined balance sheet was valued at $3.43 trillion.
Here’s the dilemma: The Fed is trapped. If it were to stop purchasing additional Treasury obligations, then QE would be officially over and the markets would crash. If it continues its purchasing program and swells its balance sheet, it is guaranteeing itself even more future losses. If it were to sell any portion of its portfolio, it would suck liquidity (cash) out of the banking system and cause the markets to crash even harder.
The global banks are in a similar dilemma since they are also hold huge amounts of government debt that will decline in value as rates rise. Banks have ignored this risk since the last financial crisis of 2007 – 2008, but it will bite them hard this time around. If major banks start dumping their bonds into the open market, it will risk causing a panic sell-off with other bond owners.
Those policy-makers who think that we will “grow our way out” of this will soon come face to face with the hard data of recession – there isn’t going to be any growth! To the contrary, the global economy is contracting. Any further decrease in liquidity, for whatever reason, may well cause another “Lehman Brothers moment” where the whole financial system simply freezes up.

Pope Francis Confirms Gay Lobby in the Vatican

Pope Francis confirms in a private meeting that their is a occult gay lobby in the Vatican which needs to be "taken care of." Obama ‘Strongly Objects’ to Religious Liberty Amendment

Mark Matheny
June 13, 2013

Once again we see the Obama Administration attacking religion.......

This is from Fox News:

The Obama Administration “strongly objects” to a proposed amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act on Wednesday that would have protected the religious rights of soldiers – including evangelical Christian service members who are facing growing hostility towards their religion.
The amendment was authored by Rep. John Fleming, R-La. It would have “required the Armed Forces to accommodate ‘actions and speech’ reflecting the conscience, moral, principles or religious beliefs of the member.”
The Obama Administration said the amendment would have a “significant adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment.”
“With its statement, the White House is now endorsing military reprimands of members who keep a Bible on their desk or express a religious belief,” Fleming told Fox News. “This administration is aggressively hostile towards religious beliefs that it deems to be politically incorrect.”
Fleming introduced the amendment after a series of high-profile incidents involving attacks on religious liberty within the military- including an Air Force officer who was told to remove a Bible from his desk because it might give the impression he was endorsing a religion.
He said there are other reports of Christian service members and chaplains being punished for their faith.
  • The Air Force censored a video created by a chaplain because it include the word “God.” The Air Force feared the word might offend Muslims and atheists.
  • A service member received a “severe and possibly career-ending reprimand” for expressing his faith’s religious position about homosexuality in a personal religious blog.
  • A senior military official at Fort Campbell sent out a lengthy email officially instructing officers to recognize “the religious right in America” as a “domestic hate group” akin to the KKK and Neo-Nazis because of its opposition to homosexual behavior.
  • A chaplain was relieved of his command over a military chapel because, consistent with DOMA’s definition of marriage, he could not allow same-sex weddings to take place in the chapel.
Last month Coast Guard Rear Admiral William Lee told a National Day of Prayer audience that religious liberty was being threatened by Pentagon lawyers and service members are being told to hide their faith in Christ.

22 Nauseating Quotes From Hypocritical Establishment Politicians About The NSA Spying Scandal

Michael Snyder
Economic Collapse
June 13, 2013
Establishment politicians from both major political parties are rushing to defend the NSA and condemn whistleblower Edward Snowden.  They are attempting to portray Edward Snowden as a “traitor” and the spooks over at the NSA that are snooping on all of us as “heroes”.  In fact, many of the exact same politicians that once railed against government spying during the Bush years are now staunchly defending it now that Obama is in the White House.  But it isn’t just Democrats that are acting shamefully.  Large numbers of Republican politicians that love to give speeches about “freedom” and “liberty” are attempting to eviscerate the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
The government is not supposed to invade our privacy and investigate us unless there is probable cause to do so.  Apparently many of our politicians misunderstood when they read the novel 1984by George Orwell.  It wasn’t supposed to be an instruction manual.  We should be thanking Edward Snowden for exposing the deep corruption that is eating away at our own government like cancer.
Now the American people need to pick up the ball and start demanding answers, because without a doubt we are going to see establishment politicians from both major political parties try to shut this scandal down.  Establishment Democrats and establishment Republicans both love the Big Brother surveillance grid that the U.S. government has constructed, and they are both making it abundantly clear that they will defend the NSA to the very end.  The following are 22 nauseating quotes from hypocritical establishment politicians that show exactly how they feel about the NSA spying scandal…
#1 Barack Obama: “I think it’s important to understand that you can’t have 100 percent security and then have 100 percent privacy and zero inconvenience. We’re going to have to make some choices as a society.”
#2 Barack Obama in 2007: “This Administration also puts forward a false choice between the liberties we cherish and the security we demand… That means no more illegal wire-tapping of American citizens. No more national security letters to spy on citizens who are not suspected of a crime. No more tracking citizens who do nothing more than protest a misguided war. No more ignoring the law when it is inconvenient. That is not who we are. And it is not what is necessary to defeat the terrorists… We will again set an example for the world that the law is not subject to the whims of stubborn rulers, and that justice is not arbitrary.”
#3 Speaker Of The House John Boehner on what he thinks about NSA leaker Edward Snowden: “He’s a traitor.”
#4 U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham: “I hope we follow Mr. Snowden to the ends of the Earth to bring him to justice.”
#5 U.S. Senator Al Franken: “I can assure you, this is not about spying on the American people.”
#6 Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: “For senators to complain that they didn’t know this was happening, we had many, many meetings that have been both classified and unclassified that members have been invited to.”
#7 U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell: “Given the scope of these programs, it’s understandable that many would be concerned about issues related to privacy. But what’s difficult to understand is the motivation of somebody who intentionally would seek to warn the nation’s enemies of lawful programs created to protect the American people. And I hope that he is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
#8 U.S. Representative Peter King on why
he believes that reporters should be prosecuted for revealing NSA secrets: “There is an obligation both moral, but also legal, I believe, against a reporter disclosing something which would so severely compromise national security.”
#9 Director of National Intelligence James Clapper making a joke during an awards ceremony last Friday night: “Some of you expressed surprise that I showed up—so many emails to read!”
#10 Director Of National Intelligence James Clapper about why he lied about NSA spying in front of Congress: “I responded in what I thought was the most truthful, or least untruthful manner.”
#11 National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden: “The president has full faith in director Clapper and his leadership of the intelligence community”
#12 White House press secretary Jay Carney: “…Clapper has been straight and direct in the answers that he’s given, and has actively engaged in an effort to provide more information about the programs that have been revealed through the leak of classified information”
#13 Dianne Feinstein, the chairwoman of the Senate intelligence committee: “There is no more direct or honest person than Jim Clapper.”
#14 Gus Hunt, the chief technology officer at the CIA: “We fundamentally try to collect everything and hang onto it forever.”
#15 Barack Obama: “Nobody is listening to your telephone calls.”
#16 Keith Alexander, director of the National Security Agency: “We do not see a tradeoff between security and liberty.”
#17 An exchange between NSA director Keith Alexander and U.S. Representative Hank Johnson in March 2012…
JOHNSON: Does the NSA routinely intercept American citizens’ emails?
JOHNSON: Does the NSA intercept Americans’ cell phone conversations?
JOHNSON: Google searches?
JOHNSON: Text messages?
JOHNSON: orders?
JOHNSON: Bank records?
#18 Deputy White House press secretary Dana Perino: “The intelligence activities undertaken by the United States government are lawful, necessary and required to protect Americans from terrorist attacks”
#19 U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss: ”This is nothing new.  It has proved meritorious because we have gathered significant information on bad guys and only on bad guys over the years.”
#20 Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton on NSA leaker Edward Snowden: “Let me ask, who died and made him king? Who gave him the authority to endanger 300 million Americans? That’s not the way it works, and if he thinks he can get away with that, he’s got another think coming.”
#21 Senior spokesman for the NSA Don Weber: “Given the nature of the work we do, it would be irresponsible to comment on actual or alleged operational issues; therefore, we have no information to provide”
#22 The White House website: “My administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration.”
Right now, the NSA is building a data collection center out in Utah that is so massive that it is hard to describe with words.  It is going to cost 40 million dollars a year just to provide the energy needed to run it.  According to a 2012 Wired article entitled “The NSA Is Building the Country’s Biggest Spy Center (Watch What You Say)“, this data center will contain “the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches” in addition to “parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases” and anything else that the NSA decides to collect…
Under construction by contractors with top-secret clearances, the blandly named Utah Data Center is being built for the National Security Agency. A project of immense secrecy, it is the final piece in a complex puzzle assembled over the past decade. Its purpose: to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world’s communications as they zap down from satellites and zip through the underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks. The heavily fortified $2 billion center should be up and running in September 2013. Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital “pocket litter.” It is, in some measure, the realization of the “total information awareness” program created during the first term of the Bush administration—an effort that was killed by Congress in 2003 after it caused an outcry over its potential for invading Americans’ privacy.
The goal is to know as much about everyone on the planet as possible.
And the NSA does not keep this information to itself.  As an article in USA Today recently reported, the NSA shares the data that it collects with other government agencies “as a matter of practice”…
As a matter of practice, the NSA regularly shares its information — known as “product” in intelligence circles — with other intelligence groups.
So when the NSA collects information about you, there is a very good chance that the FBI, the CIA, the Department of Homeland Security and the IRS will have access to it as well.
But the U.S. government is not the only one collecting data on American citizens.
Guess who else has been collecting massive amounts of data on the American people?
Barack Obama.
According to those that have seen it, the “Obama database” is unlike anything that any politician has ever put together before.  According to, U.S. Representative Maxine Waters says that this database “will have information about everything on every individual”…
“The president has put in place an organization that contains a kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” she added. “That’s going to be very, very powerful.”
Martin asked if Waters if she was referring to “Organizing for America.”
“That’s right, that’s right,” Waters said. “And that database will have information about everything on every individual in ways that it’s never been done before.”
Waters said the database would also serve future Democratic candidates seeking the presidency.
Perhaps this helps to explain why so many big donors got slapped with IRS audits immediately after they wrote big checks to the Romney campaign.
We are being told to “trust” Barack Obama and the massive government surveillance grid that is being constructed all around us, but there has been example after example of government power being grossly abused in recent years.
A lot of Americans say that they do not care if the government is watching them because they do not have anything to hide, but is there anyone out there that would really not mind the government watching them and listening to them 24 hours a day?
For example, it has been documented that NSA workers eavesdropped on conversations between U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq and their loved ones back home.  Some of these conversations involved very intimate talk between husbands and wives.  The following is from a 2008 ABC News story
Faulk says he and others in his section of the NSA facility at Fort Gordon routinely shared salacious or tantalizing phone calls that had been intercepted, alerting office mates to certain time codes of “cuts” that were available on each operator’s computer.
“Hey, check this out,” Faulk says he would be told, “there’s good phone sex or there’s some pillow talk, pull up this call, it’s really funny, go check it out. It would be some colonel making pillow talk and we would say, ‘Wow, this was crazy’,” Faulk told ABC News.
Faulk said he joined in to listen, and talk about it during breaks in Back Hall’s “smoke pit,” but ended up feeling badly about his actions.
Is this really what we want the future of America to look like?
Do we really want the government to watch us and listen to us during our most intimate moments?
Feel free to express what you think about this NSA spying scandal by posting a comment below…
