Independent American Party Files Virgil Goode for President in Nevada

Statue Of LibertyJohn Wagner, State Chairman of the Independent American Party filed the Party’s United States Presidential and Vice-Presidential Declaration of Candidacy forms with Nevada’s Secretary of State in Carson City.
Presidential candidate Virgil Goode is a former Congressman from Virginia. Vice Presidential candidate Jim Clymer is the immediate past national Chairman of the Constitution Party. The Independent American Party is the Nevada stateaffiliate of the national Constitution Party.
Virgil Goode was a member of Ron Paul’s Liberty Caucus when he served in the U.S. House of Representatives. He was chosen as the Independent American Party’s presidential candidate at the National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee in April, 2012.
The Independent American Party also filed the names of the Party’s presidential electors in order to vote in the Electoral College.
Party Chairman John Wagner stated that “Now the people of Nevada have a real choice for President, not just the twin party candidates that offer us more of the same.”
The Constitution Party is the fastest growing political party in terms of voter registration. There are thousands of registered Constitution Party voters. This does not take into account the many states which do not tally voter registrations by party. In addition, thousands of voters registered with other parties have chosen to vote for Constitution Party candidates at the national, state and local levels.
