Napolitano signs off from Freedom Watch with promise to keep “defending freedom whenever I can”
Judge Andrew Napolitano signed off on Freedom Watch this week with a salute and a promise to keep “defending freedom– everyone’s freedom, whenever I can,”, following the announcement that the show has been axed by Fox Business News.
The Judge closed the last edition ofFreedom Watch in the same way he normally does, with a message regarding adherence to the vision of the founding fathers and the hard fought liberties protected by the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.
Napolitano flagged up the fact that only a third of Americans supported the revolution and another third expressed no interest in the matter. In a clear message to his critics, the Judge noted “The founding fathers risked their lives, their fortunes, and their honor, [but] they were not saints, and originally their cause was not popular.”
As of now, Freedom Watch will be replaced by reruns of The Willis Report.

On the penultimate edition of the show, the judge delivered a scathing bullet point break down of the state of America today, the kind of which has marked the show out as a thorn firmly in the side of the establishment, and, in the eyes of many, led to the decision to remove Freedom Watch from the airwaves:
Earlier in the week the Judge issued a statement on his Facebook page asking that fans of the show stop sending emails to Fox News complaining about the cancellation.
Explaining that the cancellation was in his eyes purely a “business judgment”, the Judge wrote:
“Many of you are not happy with the cancellation of FreedomWatch, and you have sent emails to my Fox colleagues expressing that unhappiness. In television, shows are cancelled all the time. Two of my former shows have been cancelled, and after each cancellation, Fox has rewarded me with more and better work.”
“This cancellation–along with others that accompanied it–was the result of a business judgment here, and is completely unrelated to the FreedomWatch message. It would make a world of a difference for all of us, if you would KINDLY STOP SENDING EMAILS TO FOX.” Napolitano added.
“I am well. Your values are strong. I will continue to articulate those values here at Fox. But the emails many of you are sending are unfairly interfering with my work and that of my colleagues here. The emails even violate our values because they interfere with the use of private property. I have accepted the cancellation decision with good cheer and a sense of gearing up for the future. You should as well.” the statement concluded.
