The Pro-Life Assault on Ron Paul and the Constitution

LewRockwell.com
by Laurence M. Vance

The right-to-life movement is a failure. Although millions of dollars have been spent on lobbying, marches, and protests since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, millions of women have still had abortions since then. There is no doubt that many abortions have been prevented, but even a round number of how many is almost impossible to estimate. The pro-life movement has failed miserably to persuade women to not have abortions, to educate women on the evils of abortion, to prevent unwanted pregnancies, to convince doctors to not perform abortions, to effectively counsel women with unwanted pregnancies, to impede promiscuity, and to provide sufficient alternatives to pregnant women considering abortion.

Pro-lifers are quick to lay the blame on the Supreme Court, activist federal judges, Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, feminists, doctors who perform abortions, the Democratic Party, and liberals – anywhere and anyone but themselves and the women who actually have abortions.

According to most pro-lifers, the solution to the abortion problem is not persuasion, education, or counseling; it is more centralization of power in the federal government – the same government that, in a vast power grab that did violence to the Constitution, asserted federal supremacy over the states’ abortion laws in the Roe v. Wade decision.

The Unemployment and Jobless Recovery Myth – California Average Underemployment Rate for 2009 at 21 Percent. The Middle Class Destruction through Unemployment Corporate Jargon.

Posted by mybudget360

It is amazing how many financial analysts usually from the too big to fail banks have gone onto the media circuit to claim that employment is always a lagging indicator in economic recoveries. They preach this belief as if it were a law like thermodynamics. These same people who never envisioned a stock market collapse rivaling the Great Depression now want the public to believe their flawed doctrine of economic prosperity. Yet the question is prosperity for who? How are we supposed to trust an industry filled of self-labeled experts that missed the biggest financial crisis in modern times? This is like a pharmacist who doesn’t know what drug to give you or a baseball player who can’t swing a bat. We can’t trust Wall Street for a variety of reasons including they are part of the nucleus for this economic calamity.

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!!

PSALM 2010

Obama is the shepherd I did not want.

He leadeth me beside the still factories.

He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.

He guideth me in the path of unemployment for his party's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line,

I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.

He has anointed my income with taxes,

 My expenses runneth over.

Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life,

And I will live in a mortgaged home forever..

I am glad I am American,

I am glad that I am free.

 But I wish I was a dog .....

 And Obama was a tree.

To whom it may concern --------

Being a Veteran in the fight to Preserve Our Liberties and a guardian in the defense of our Constitution has led me to reflect on the brave souls of past days who sacrificed and with much dedication forged and bulldozed the path for present day patriots. They suffered the smears, lies, name-calling and concerted efforts of the enemies of freedom to silence them.

Among them of course would be many individuals and of course the group in the forefront, The John Birch Society,  is an organization with truth as a weapon and education as their total strategy. How well I remember the published works of Robert Welsh, Founder of the John Birch Society, and his speeches I attended. The magazine 'American Opinion' ( now 'The New American') a publication I couldn't wait to recieve and would read cover to cover the very day it arrived in my mailbox. The writers were such a treat, the manner in which they wrote, with a gift to help the hard factual 'medicine' of truth go down. The generous supply of 'meaty' informational articles, the substance of which I chew on to this very day coming from the creative minds of Alan Stang, Gary Allen, E Merrill Root etc, and from Robert Welsh himself.

I remember getting my first issue when I thought I was reading a different language - My past courses in 'Problems of Democracy' in the government brain laundry factories had not prepared me sufficiently to tackle this new found source of 'meaty' information flow. Being horribly economic, the surge of truthful information flowing through my veins invigorated me, and I was hooked into self mode Conspiracy Civics Class along with others who sensed something was wrong in our beloved country, and that 'it' wasn't happening by accident.

These fine gentilemen warriors, authors, and speakers - many of whom I have met -  and especially Robert Welsh, were not afraid to step out front- to speculate, to forecast based on past factual information and events-or to expose those who were a part of the globalist CONSPIRACY. Oh- there's that word that some novices who have come into the movement would have us delete down the Orwellian memory hole so as to appeal to the masses in order to get our message to them so they will accept it more easily.

How sad that now we have those in our midst who would want to water down the truth message- I am an example of why this compromising strategy is a failure and a 'deathbed'  approach, as well as an insult to Robert Welsh and his memory. I suggest we go back and read some of his works and back issues of American Opinion to see how far we have succumbed to this shameful thinking and cowardly strategy. Robert Welsh was not a member of the "Let's Be Safe" limited message society, nor the " Let's not talk Conspiracy" message of compromise who harp that we shouldn't say certain perimeters in order to reach potential freedom fighting prospects. What these mental slugs and cowards are really saying is "Let's throw Robert Welsh under the globalist bus" in order to get the message out.

Such thinking and strategy encompasses some of the following---

  • "Let's not call it conspiracy or use the word"
  • "Let's not question 9/11 prior knowedge, or even question this horrendous act of treason"
  • "Let's not speculate or expose those in the media who get their paychecks written by their boss who is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations- after all, he does give out a lot of good information. So what if he wants a Constitutional Convention!" (Good info laced with 1% arsenic is still deadly)
  • "There's a lot of erroneous material out there on the net" ( So Surf and sift)
  • "Let's not bother with those dreadful FEMA Camps, if they even exist - investigating them- what a waste ( tell that to the German People) they were just fusion centers."

Here's just a few other topics some would like to throw under the bus:
  • Chemtrails
  • weather modification
  • Government complicity in drug running ( But just say no)
  • Mind control
  • Computerized vote fraud (Don't forget to write your Bought and Paid for preselected Politician)
  • CIA drug smuggling
  • HAARP
  • Government sponsored False Flag terrorism
  • etc, etc, and on and on.
Let's just forget about the memory of the Congressman Larry McDonald and move on - instead of making him and John Birch as our examples and figureheads in this fight! ......Larry who????

Well, let's just deal with things we can prove.

Did Robert Welsh have this mindset???? Read The Politician and the rest of his writings, and his brilliant commentaries on the signs of the times- and then let's get busy and sharpen our swords and throw the true slugs and those who wish to be 'respectable' instead of warriors under the bus, and put Robert Welsh back in the driver's seat- his memories live on and his printed words speak volumes.

Carolyn Lanham, -Thank you Robert Welsh.

US announces $6.4 billion in arms sales to Taiwan

My.Freeze.com
(AP) By FOSTER KLUG Associated Press Writer

The United States is planning to sell $6.4 billion in arms to Taiwan, a move that will infuriate China and test whether President Barack Obama's efforts to improve trust with Beijing will carry the countries through a tense time.

The notification to Congress, posted Friday on a Pentagon Web site, includes Black Hawk helicopters, Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles, mine hunter ships and information technology. Congress has 30 days to comment before the plan goes forward; senior lawmakers traditionally have supported such sales.

Taiwan is the most sensitive matter in U.S.-China relations, with the potential to plunge into conflict two powers increasingly linked in security and economic issues. China claims the self-governing island as its own. The United States is Taiwan's most important ally and its largest arms supplier.

The United States, which told China of the sale only hours before the announcement, acknowledged that Beijing may retaliate by cutting off military talks with Washington, which happened after the Bush administration announced a multibillion-dollar arms sale to Taiwan in 2008.

The U.S. is "obstinately making the wrong decision," China's Foreign Ministry said in a statement Saturday after Vice Foreign Minister He Yafei warned Ambassador Jon Huntsman the sale would "cause consequences that both sides are unwilling to see." The vice minister urged that the sale be immediately canceled, it said.

Wang Baodong, a spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington, said Beijing will lodge a formal protest against the U.S. decision. Asked if China would halt military talks, he said, "Let's wait and see."

"We strongly request that the U.S. side correct the wrong action, so as to avoid further damaging Chinese-U.S. relations," Wang said. "The Taiwan question and the arms sale issue bear on China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, so this is a very serious problem."

Though Taiwan's ties with China have warmed considerably since Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou took office 20 months ago, Beijing has threatened to invade if the island ever formalizes its de facto independence.

Ma told reporters Saturday that the deal should not anger the mainland because the weapons are defensive, not offensive.

Despite its size, the U.S. weapons package dodges a touchy issue: F-16 fighter jets that Taiwan covets are not included. Senior U.S. officials said they are aware of Taiwan's desire for F-16s and are assessing Taiwan's needs.

The arms package includes 114 PAC-3 missiles and other equipment, costing more than $2.8 billion; 60 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, costing $3.1 billion; information distribution systems and other equipment, at $340 million; two Osprey Class Mine Hunting Ships, at a cost of about $105 million; and other items.

The sale satisfies parts of an $11 billion arms package originally pledged to Taiwan by former President George W. Bush in 2001. That package has been provided in stages because of political and budgetary considerations in Taiwan and the United States.

U.S. officials say the Obama administration's China policy is meant to improve trust between the countries, so that disagreements over Taiwan or Tibet do not reverse efforts to cooperate on nuclear standoffs in Iran and North Korea, and attempts to deal with economic and climate change issues.

China aims more than 1,000 ballistic missiles at Taiwan; the U.S. government is bound by law to ensure the island is able to respond to Chinese threats.

Obama's national security adviser, Jim Jones, said Friday that both Washington and Beijing do things "periodically that may not make everybody completely happy."

But Jones told an audience at the Center for Strategic and International Studies think tank that the United States is "bent toward a new relationship with China as a rising power in the world."

Letter to the Editor

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!!
Article By Robert Owens

To the Editor:

Our nation’s Constitution grants only a few powers to the federal government. These powers are enumerated in Article 1, Section 8. If the Constitution were fully enforced today, the federal government
would be 20 percent of its size and 20 percent of its cost. There wouldn’t be deficit spending that invites inflation and federal incometaxes could be abolished. As it stands, every single penny collected in income tax goes to China, David Rockefeller and the like - just for interest. Not a penny goes to the military, roads or to repay then early bankrupt social security “trust” fund.

When many citizens actually realize the strict limitations placed on
the federal government, there is often an ensuing misunderstanding as
to the proper role of government. Should not the government have a
role in education, energy and the like? Yes, but not the federal
government. Items such as education are forbidden to the federal
government but are in the domain of the state governments. Our
founding fathers understood this concept – called federalism – and
made it a cornerstone of good government. It should be noted that
this concept is borrowed directly from scripture, Exodus 18:13-27.

When our Constitution was drafted, Ben Franklin commented that the
document was only as good as the citizens that would enforce and
protect it, that otherwise it would be little more than what George W.
Bush would later call it, “A G.D. piece of paper.” Today, citizens
must not only understand what our government is supposed to be,
citizens must recognize the enemies of limited government and their
motivations.

In “The Art of War” Chinese philosopher Sun Tzu explains that if you
know yourself and know your enemy, you need not fear the result of a
hundred battles. Having identified what our government is supposed to
be – a republic – let me identify the enemies of our republic. The
Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is the outstanding but not only
organization that actively seeks the destruction of the United States.

In 2002, David Rockefeller, Chairman Emeritus of the CFR, authored his
autobiography “Memoirs” wherein, on page 405, Mr. Rockefeller writes:
“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the
best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me
as "internationalists" and of conspiring with others around the world
to build a more integrated global political and economic structure -
one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am
proud of it."

CFR members include George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Condoleeza Rice,
John Kerry, Newt Gingrich, Ted Turner, George Soros, Rupert Murdoch,
Pastor Rick Warren, Dan Rather, Katie Couric and approximately 4,000
other high ranking officials in government, media, industry, academia
and religion. The vast majority of this group seeks individual glory
and gain with only a few fully versed in what Mr. Rockefeller calles a
“conspiracy.” A high-ranking FBI agent named Cleon Skousen wrote a
thorough exposé of the CFR in a book called “The Naked Capitalist”
available on amazon.com. Glenn Beck has heavily promoted Mr. Skousen
lately, and Skousen’s book “5000 Year Leap” has been a best seller on
amazon.com.

There are free resources to fulfill Sun Tzu’s charge to know thyself
and know thy enemy. To understand what our government is supposed to
be, watch a short 30-minute video by going to youtube.com and
searching “Overview of America.” To understand the enemies of our
liberty, go to TheNewAmerican.com and search for “CFR”.

When you are ready to actually do something to defend our nation
against enemies foreign and domestic (we have far more to fear from
enemies domestic) join us at our monthly “Freedom Forum” held each
Thursday at 7:00pm at the Delaware Old Bag of Nails. Our next meeting
is Thursday, February 4. Our main speaker will be Beth Lear formerly
of the Buckeye Institute and past legislative aide to a State
Representative. Beth will explain exactly how legislation is made and
how the machine of government works in Columbus. This is a great
opportunity for home schooled children and adults alike. For more
information, check out www.meetup.com/centralohiojbs.
