Recently Obama has requested raising the Debt Ceiling by another $1.2 trillion. Currently theceiling is at approx. $15.3 trillion. Although a "Super Congress" has been put into position in order to bring cuts necessary to reigning in debt, it is apparent that these moves are merely "smoke and mirrors" to placate the American people and give the appearance that all is well on the homefront.
