This cartoon was made over 50 years ago, but rings very true for our time. In this cartoon, the government appears as a "snake oil salesman" who wants to sell an elixir - in this case National Socialism - for the mere price of Freedom. Thankfully the watchful eye of "John Q. Public" sees the elixir for what it really is- POISON!!!
My hope is that our current generation can see the elixir being sold to them, and reject it.
