Two suspects were dressed in Army fatigues, Fox News reported. One is in custody and another is at large. KCEN-TV in Waco reported a second suspect may be holed up in a building on the post. It was unknown whether the victims are soldiers or civilians. The Associated Press reported as many as 20 have been wounded. The base, about 60 miles from Austin, and two nearby school districts are on lockdown. At least one shooting took place at the fort's sports dome, known as the soldier readiness area, according to KXXV-TV in Waco. Greg Schannep, an aide to U.S. Rep. John Carter, said he was on the Army post to attend a graduation service, the Austin American-Statesman newspaper reported. As he neared the entrance of a building where the service was being held, he said, a soldier with blood on his uniform ran past him and said a man was shooting. Schannep told the paper the shootings appeared to have occurred in a complex near a theater where the service was scheduled. CNN reported President Obama has been advised of the shooting.
