Admiral: Obama Conspired With America’s Enemies to Kidnap Chris Stevens

It’s even worse than we previously thought. A retired four-star admiral is claiming that Barack Obama intentionally conspired with America’s enemies to stage a bogus attack and the kidnapping of an American ambassador so he could “negotiate” the release of a “hostage” and bolster his mediocre approval ratings just prior to the election?

On Lou Dobbs, retired Four-Star Admiral James Lyons, said: “the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi… was the result of a bungled abduction attempt…. the first stage of an international prisoner exchange… that would have ensured the release of Omar Abdel Rahman, the ‘Blind Sheik’…”

But something went horribly wrong with Obama’s “October Surprise.” Although the Obama Administration intentionally gutted security at the consulate prior to the staged kidnapping, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty disobeyed direct orders to stand down, saved American lives, single-handedly killed scores of attackers…and the attackers, believing that the Obama had betrayed them, tortured Ambassador Chris Stevens and dragged his body through the streets.

It’s clear. Benghazi-Gate is only a small piece of a much larger operation, an attempt to conceal what The New American calls; “the Obama administration’s full role in helping violent Jihadists and self-styled al Qaeda terrorists.”

Nigeria: Restaurant Served Roasted Human Heads

A restaurant in the Nigerian state of Anambra has been shut down after the authorities reportedly found it has been selling dishes made of human meat.

The police recovered at least two fresh human heads when they arrested 11 people from the restaurant including the owner, six women and four men, following a tip-off.

The blood-soaked heads were found wrapped in cellophane sheets.

Officials have also seized two AK-47 rifles, other weapons, dozens of rounds of ammunitions and several mobile phones during the raid.

"Each time I came to market, because the hotel is very close to the market, I always noticed funny movements in and out of the hotel; dirty people with dirty characters always come into the hotel. So, I was not surprised when the police made this discovery in the early hours of yesterday," a local resident told the Osun Defender.

A pastor, who was shocked to know that what he had eaten was human meat, complained to the police.

"I went to the hotel early this year, after eating, I was told that a lump of meat was being sold at N700 (£2.5), I was surprised. So I did not know it was human meat that I ate at such expensive price," the unidentified pastor said.

Reports of cannibalism sometimes emerge in Nigeria, but this is the first time a restaurant has been booked for selling human meat dishes.

CBO: Obamacare’s 10-Year Costs Will Now Eclipse $2 Trillion

Remember back when the Democrats tried to sell Obamacare to a skeptical citizenry as health care “reform” that would cost “only” $848 billion—far less than a trillion—over a decade?  Indeed, that was the alleged 10-year gross cost of Obamacare’s coverage provisions, according to the Congressional Budget Office (see Table 3), when Harry Reid, Mark Pryor, Kay Hagan, Mary Landrieu, Al Franken, Mark Udall, Jeanne Shaheen, Mark Begich, Mark Warner, and the rest of the Democrats rammed President Obama’s signature legislation through the Senate on Christmas Eve without a single Republican vote.  That 12-digit price-tag was widely cited by the New York Times and other sympathetic outlets, who treated it as gospel, even as conservatives observed that it was clearly a sham number.

Well, now the CBO is out with a new report on Obamacare’s costs, and—sure enough—its 10-year price-tag now eclipses $2 trillion.  To be more exact, the CBO now projects (see Table B-1) that the 10-year gross cost of Obamacare’s coverage provisions will be a cool $2,004,000,000,000.00.

When the housing market is owned by Fed banks: Federal Reserve went from holding zero in mortgage-backed securities to over $1.5 billion.

There are significant consequences with the Fed continuing on course with Quantitative Easing.  On paper, it may seem that all is fine on the home front.  However, many regular Americans are finding it harder to purchase a home in spite of a low interest rate environment.  The Fed has created perverse incentives where big banks are leveraging low rates to invest in single family homes.  This used to be a staple of asset growth for Americans but that is now waning.  American households are cash strapped and having a lower rate does very little if incomes are not growing.  Yet banks suddenly have a giant interest in being involved in the housing market.  Why stop at being satisfied with an inflated stock market?  The ability to access debt has been key to the re-inflation of this bubble.  If you look at the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) market you will clearly see that the Fed is now the major player in this segment of the market.

Fed is the housing market

Simply put, the Fed is the housing market.  They are driving the biggest asset class in America by their manipulation of interest rates but also the amount of MBS they own.  The results have been to increase the massive inequality in the nation.  Sure, most Americans don’t own stocks but housing was one area where most Americans did own.  And many Americans did not have to worry about competing with investors or big banks in their neighborhoods when trying to purchase a home.

The market, if we can even call it that, is now dominated by the Fed and big banks are using this crony system to buy up large pieces of American real estate.  Take a look at the growth of MBS on the Fed’s balance sheet:

The Fed went from owning zero in MBS all the way to the current $1.5 trillion.  The Fed is a massive portion of the market and is buying up nearly 100 percent of all issued MBS.  This has also caused massive volatility in the bond market.  Yet the end result is that homeownership overall is actually down for Americans because a large portion of the buying is going to Wall Street and big banks.

You can even see this on the private side with MBS issuances:

What need is there to grow this portion of the market if the Fed is dominating it so dramatically?  There is little incentive to make this more competitive when banks instead of helping American homeowners are actually buying up massive amounts of homes with the corporate financial welfare of the Fed.  Driving up prices with no subsequent growth in incomes is not a healthy policy.

Since the Fed has intervened we have seen roughly 30 percent of all home purchase going to investors:

“(NAR) All-cash sales comprised 32 percent of transactions in December, unchanged from November; they were 29 percent in December 2012. Individual investors, who account for many cash sales, purchased 21 percent of homes in December, up from 19 percent in November, but are unchanged from December 2012.”

This has created a new form of a Gilded Age society because inequality continues to rise and home prices rising with no real substantive growth in income is not useful.  What does it matter if a regular home buyer has access to a mortgage at a 4 percent interest rate when connected banks can leverage debt at close to zero percent?

The Fed’s balance sheet continues to grow out of control because this entire market is built on access to cheap debt, debt that is largely going to a select few:

A drop in homeownership, massive investor buying, a re-inflation of the housing bubble.  Glad the Fed is looking out for regular Americans.

Food prices soar as incomes stand still

NEW YORK - Writer Jen Singer, the mother of two teenage boys, wrestles with her grocery list every week to keep the household budget from getting away from her.

"I'd like the government to stop by my house, come food shopping with me and see where the real costs are," she said.

The adage "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" is impossible thanks to apple prices, she said.

"We go through one of these every few days," she said, holding a loaf of bread. "It's a big part of my take home pay."

Some experts believe food inflation is greater than the government thinks

It's is not her imagination. While the government says prices are up 6.4 percent since 2011, chicken is up 18.4 percent, ground beef is up 16.8 percent and bacon has skyrocketed up 22.8 percent, making it a holiday when it's on sale.

"Oh my god!" Singer said as she spied bacon for $3.

"The things that are going up in price are the things I absolutely need to buy," she said. "It's the meat, it's the milk, it's the eggs and it's getting out of hand."

Beef, chicken and bacon prices have soared

ConvergEx market strategist, Nick Colas, said that mothers could tell the government a lot about inflation.

"Food inflation is far greater than the government thinks it is," he said.

But the big problem for families:  Wages are not budging.

"If my income isn't going up, how am I going to keep up with inflation?" Singer asked.
