Ohio Elected Representative Chris Jordan of the second district (Delaware County), spoke at a local chapter meeting of the John Birch Society on September 3, 2009 in front of an impressive crowd of Birchers along with guests who attended in Delaware.

Robert Owens, the JBS Chapter Leader, stated in the beginning of the meeting that the mission of the John Birch Society is "to restore the Constitution, and for citizens to take action." He also mentioned how at the end of the constitutional convention in 1787 a woman among the curious crowd outside awaiting the outcome of the convention approached Ben Franklin and asked 'what form of government have you given us?' Ben Franklin then replied 'A Republic- if you can keep it.'

Chris Jordan is the elected Representative of Ohio's 2nd District. He was elected by his peers as 2nd Minority Whip, which Robert Owens stated is a significant position in the Ohio House, meaning Chris Jordan has been marked for leadership. Robert Owens also said that Chris understands what limited government is all about, and that has been his hallmark in the House.

The main subject of Chris Jordan's discussion was the 10th Amendment Sovereignty bill. Robert Owens stated that the 10th Amendment Sovereignty Bill on a National scale was really introduced by two legislators in Oklahoma, Randy Brogdan and Charles Key, both are members of the John Birch Society. Here's the meeting in it's entirety-enjoy.
