Photos Reveal: U.S. Special Forces Engaged in Front Line Combat in Syria
Photos published by Agence France-Presse (AFP) reveal that President Barack Obama lied when he told the American people that there are no U.S. troops on the ground in Syria.
The AFP pictures, which include the one shown here, prove that U.S. Special Forces soldiers are directly engaged in combat operations with the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces in the latter's efforts to capture the unofficial capital of ISIS, Raqqa.
Despite the photographic proof of American military forces fighting in the field along side their Syrian "allies," the Defense Department continues to insist that the 300 or so U.S. soldiers in Syria are there for nothing more than to "advise and assist" the Syrian Democratic Forces and other majority-Kurdish troops battling ISIS.
According to a report on the photos published last week in the Washington Post, U.S. Special Forces troops were "clustered around what appears to be an advanced Mk.47 40mm automatic grenade launcher. The system, built by General Dynamics, is primarily used by Special Operations units and has not been widely sold outside the United States."
A leader in the Kurdish militia confirmed to AFP that U.S. ground troops were actively engaged in the fighting. AFP reported last week:
SDF field commander Hawkar Kobane told AFP that "US forces are taking part in this operation" alongside his own troops.
"On the rooftop of this house, there are US forces using (anti-tank) TOW missiles to fire on the explosives-rigged cars that Daesh [ISIS] is using to attack the SDF."
Apparently in order to disguise their identities, the U.S. forces were wearing insignia of the Kurdish militia on their uniforms.
Despite the photographs and the testimony of witnesses fighting alongside the Americans, the Department of Defense denies that U.S. soldiers are involved in directly participating in combat missions in the area.
"They are in an advise-and-assist mission. They are not on the front lines," said Pentagon spokesman Peter Cook.
That's odd, Mr. Cook, considering Kurdish war fighters tell AFP reporters that American troops are "present at all positions along the front."
"They are not on the forward line," Cook insists.
The smacks of the sort of Defense Department double-talk that is the argot of the military arm of the American empire. Not to mention that it places people in the difficult position of trusting the word of a Pentagon spokesman or of a Kurdish militia leader.
It is this imperial deployment of the U.S. military that violates not only the Constitution, but the international rules of engagement, as well. The Ron Paul Institute took note of this disdain and disregard for the rule of law and the law of the land.
It must be remembered that the presence of US military forces inside Syria is contrary to both U.S. and international law, as they have not been invited by the internationally-recognized Syrian government nor have they been authorized by the U.S. Congress. It is an illegal and highly risky military operation.
Now that there is irrefutable evidence of the engagement of U.S. ground troops in a foreign civil war, perhaps "conservatives" will abandon their hawkish pursuit of Pax Americana and will turn to the peace, prosperity, and power that comes from adherence to the Constitution's limits on the waging of war.
To this end, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will introduce a measure aimed at restoring Congress's authority to declare war, forcing the president back inside the boundaries of his constitutional power. As it stands, thousands of American servicemen are sent from pole to pole at the sole discretion of the man in the Oval Office.
For over a decade now, consecutive presidents have assumed the monarchical prerogative of ordering the military might of the United States to build up puppet governments, break down those reluctant to recognize the rule of an American emperor, and to create then crush new regimes.
Our Founders warned of this situation and its effect on liberty.

Once upon a time, there was a middle class: This election year will determine whether the middle class falls into obscurity.

In the not too distant past the United States had a vibrant middle class.  Prosperity for most families was the rule rather than the exception.  This didn’t happen by accident or some odd twist of luck.  It happened because as a country we setup a foundation that valued a robust middle class.  The Great Depression had taught us some profound economic lessons and humility.  But like a car that is neglected and falls into disrepair, the middle class is now a minority group in this country.  We tend to romanticize the past but in this case there is some truth to this view of history.  Going to college is now putting millions of Americans into incredible levels of debt.  Buying a home is moving further out of arms reach for most working families.  And the notion of a secure retirement is turning out to be more of a fairy tale than reality.  Once upon a time, the U.S. had a majority living in the middle class.
Where does the middle class go from here?
The middle class used to represent economic stability.  For anyone with the desire to work hard providing economic stability was doable.  That is no longer the case.  And this isn’t some relentless free market capitalism that we are seeing.  It is financial cronyism in many cases.  The public is pushed into a narrative that discusses austerity and financial belt tightening.  Then you have financial institutions using the government as a piggybank and gaming the system – bad bets they win, good bets they win.  The losses are charged onto the public’s credit card.  Privatizing the gains, socializing the losses.
So it is no wonder why the middle class has eroded into a minority:

Most Americans that took a hit from the Great Recession went from middle-income to lower-income households.  The good paying jobs simply did not come back at a rate in which they were lost.  We also have a large number of Americans not in the labor force.  What is being asked of many younger workers is for higher taxes, bigger college expenses, smaller paychecks, and a less certain future.  They hear their parents saying, “once upon a time, the U.S. had a vibrant middle class.”
This isn’t intended to be some long lament but a recognition that many families are being shafted under the guise of free market capitalism.  This is not that.  There is largely no disagreement that on a large scale, competition is extremely healthy because it caters to what people know best, their self interest.  The financial system should serve as a means of revving up the real economy.  Yet what we have now is a financial system that largely operates as a predatory vampire extracting real wealth from the economy and families and funneling it into the wallets of few on Wall Street that essentially operates as modern day loan sharks.
Once upon a time, the financial system operated more like a utility rather than a casino.  Glass-Steagall a law that came about in 1933 after the economic horrors of the Great Depression was repealed in 1999 by Bill Clinton and fully supported by both Republicans and Democrats.  This legislation that largely separated commercial and investment banks was broken down.  So it is no surprise that subprime lending took off nearly at the same time:
download
These were the toxic mortgages that set the American housing market on fire.  But what brought the system down was the side bets made by Wall Street (see The Big Short for a short crash course).  When everything came crashing down the financial system was bailed out at the expense of the U.S. middle class.  Now the homeownership rate is near a generational low.  Once upon a time, we had a sane financial system.
There was once a vibrant and healthy middle class in the United States.  Today that is not the case.  The anger you see in the country today being manifested in a contentious election year stems from this.  Once upon a time, our representatives cared about a middle class.  Now most are millionaires serving those with the deepest pockets.

CFR Globalist: End U.S. States, Build China-style Regional Gov't

CFR Globalist: End U.S. States, Build China-style Regional Gov't
It is time for the United States of America to ditch the whole “states” thing, and for the federal government to re-organize the nation politically into massive regions with powerful regional governments fully subservient to national and even international authorities. The goal of the dystopian “economic master plan” is for America to become more like Communist China on the road toward a North American Union.
That might sound ridiculous — perhaps like the ravings of a mad man — to the average American. After all, the United States is, by its nature, a union of 50 states that have delegated a few limited and defined powers to their agent, the federal government, in pursuit of, among other objectives, securing “the Blessings of Liberty.” If globalists get their way, though, that “antiquated” notion would be tossed on to the ash heap of history.
Writing in the New York Times last month, a mid-level globalist operative with the war-mongering, global government-promoting Council on Foreign Relations argued that there needs to be a “new map for America.” “Advanced economies in Western Europe and Asia are reorienting themselves around robust urban clusters of advanced industry,” wrote Parag Khanna, a CFR globalist and self-styled “leading global strategist,” whatever that means. “Unfortunately, American policy making remains wedded to an antiquated political structure of 50 distinct states.”

Missouri Lawmakers Pass Sweeping Gun Rights Expansion

NY Times
May 14, 2016

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri lawmakers have passed a sweeping expansion of gun rights in the state, one that would allow people to carry concealed guns without requiring permits and widen their right to stand and fight against perceived threats.
The legislation, which now goes to Gov. Jay Nixon for his signature, was among the most prominent measures passed by the Republican-controlled Legislature on the final day of its annual session on Friday. Mr. Nixon, a Democrat, did not have an immediate comment on the bill.
Under the measure, most people would be able to carry concealed guns, even if they have not completed the training currently required to obtain a permit.
The legislation would also expand the state’s “castle doctrine” by allowing invited guests, such as babysitters, to use deadly force against intruders. It would also create a “stand your ground” right, meaning people would not have to retreat from danger in any place they are legally entitled to be present.
While many Democrats denounced it, Republican supporters of the bill described the measures as reasonable approaches to personal safety.
“There won’t be blood in the streets,” said State Representative Joe Don McGaugh, a Republican. “But what there will be is more people protected by the right to bear an arm legally.”
Ten other states already have what supporters describe as “constitutional carry” laws allowing concealed guns without permits, including ones enacted this year in Idaho, Mississippi and West Virginia, according to the National Rifle Association.
The N.R.A. says 30 states have laws or court precedents stating people have no duty to retreat from a threat anywhere they are lawfully present. But Missouri’s measure would make it the first new stand your ground state since 2011, according to both the N.R.A. and Everytown for Gun Safety, a gun control advocacy group.

Scientists Meet In Secret To Discuss Creating A Synthetic Human Genome

TN Note: Huxley’s Brave New World is coming to life right before our eyes. Who needs parents? Babies are created in the lab for their pathetic, predetermined existence: Alphas, Gammas, Deltas, Epsilons. Natural procreation is not allowed, and all ‘accidental’ pregnancies will be terminated. All of society is “stratified by genetically-predestined caste.” Science is god. Technocrats and Transhumans are undoubtedly doing a ‘happy dance’ right now.
Scientists are now contemplating the creation of a synthetic human genome, meaning they would use chemicals to manufacture all the DNA contained in human chromosomes.
The prospect is spurring both intrigue and concern in the life sciences community, because it might be possible — if someone were able to create a totally artificial genome — to implant that genome into embryos and create human beings without parents.
While the project is still in the idea phase, and also involves efforts to improve DNA synthesis in general, it was discussed at a closed-door meeting at Harvard Medical School in Boston on Tuesday. The roughly 150 attendees were told not to contact the media or to tweet about the meeting.
Organizers said the project in some ways would be a follow-up to the original Human Genome Project, which was aimed at reading the sequence of the three billion chemical letters in the DNA blueprint of human life. The new project, by contrast, would involve not reading, but rather writing the human genome — synthesizing all three billion units from chemicals.
But such an attempt would raise numerous ethical issues. Could scientists create humans with certain kinds of traits, perhaps people born and bred to be soldiers? Or might it be possible to make copies of specific people?
“Would it be O.K. to sequence and then synthesize Einstein’s genome?” Drew Endy, a bioengineer at Stanford and Laurie Zoloth, a bioethicist at Northwestern University, wrote in an essay criticizing the proposed project. “If so, how many Einstein genomes would it be O.K. to make and install in cells, and who would get to make and control these cells?”
Scientists and ethicists are already raising concerns about using new gene-editing techniques that could change individual traits in embryos. But it would be possible to make much more extensive changes by synthesizing an entire genome.
Professor Zoloth said in an interview that the project could be risky without any well-defined benefit. She also criticized the surreptitious meeting. “It is O.K. to have meetings that are private, but it has not been characteristic of the field to have meetings that are secret in addition to being private.”
George Church, a professor of genetics at Harvard Medical School and one of the organizers of the proposed project, said the characterization was a misunderstanding, and that in reality the project was aimed more generally at improving the ability to synthesize long strands of DNA, which could be applied to various types of animals, plants and microbes.
“They’re painting a picture which I don’t think represents the project,” Dr. Church said in an interview. “If that were the project, I’d be running away from it.”

The Two Income Trap has only gotten worse: America has become a dual-income nation since one income isn’t enough to maintain a household.

MyBudget360
April 30, 2016

America has become a nation where households depend on multiple streams of income just to get by.  Many people think that having two incomes is a luxury when in most cases, you need two incomes just to get by and keep up with the rising cost of living.  This is reflected in the two income trap. Take for example a couple that works and makes the median household income of $52,000.  In many cases if the couple has a child, daycare costs are needed and these can run exceptionally high. Healthcare costs are also incredibly high and have grown unbelievably fast over the last two decades.  This recent recession could have been called aMancession since most of the jobs lost went to men.  America is a nation of dual-income households because people are too broke to get by on one income.  The current state of the economy hasn’t helped much in supporting economic growth for working families.
The two income trap
Back in 1965 47% of families had both spouses working.  That figure is now up to 66% and it is extremely rare to find a household where only the husband works.  You also find it more common today that a household will have only the wife working.
Women entering the workforce has shifted how people deal with daily life.  But the thought of economic freedom by having an additional income in the household has been largely swept away by inflation.  Take a look at this chart:
You would think that this would be providing American families more financial freedom but instead it is merely keeping people from being out on the streets.  The homeownership rate is now down to generational lows.  Why?  Because home prices are inflated thanks to banking policies and investors that have gutted the market and have created a shortage of housing for working families.  So what is left is higher rents and higher home prices.

In 1950 typical healthcare costs ran about $1,000 per year adjusting for inflation.  Today they run over $10,000 per year and this isn’t factoring a serious illness or injury. This is merely to have routine insurance coverage for your family.
More money does not mean more flexibility if inflation is eating away the cost of living.  With two working people, you have more money spent on childcare, food, and it is very likely that two cars are necessary with people commuting to separate jobs.  Cars eat up a lot of money in payments, gas, and maintenance.  In the end, you have a large amount of unexpected expenses that eat away at that additional paycheck.
This is the trap.  You have two incomes so why are people struggling more today than that single income from the 1950s and 1960s?  In short the answer is inflation and the destruction of our manufacturing base.  There is a race to the bottom in this low wage economy.  The middle class is now a minority and the two income trap is even getting harder to dig out of.  This is why people are so angry during this election because there really isn’t a champion for the middle class.
People do have options to make things better and being able to budget is absolutely critical.  Many couples also buy homes that are beyond their means just to keep up with the Joneses.  And you absolutely need to plan for retirement.  Don’t be like many that are using the “work until you die” model of retirement.  The two income trap may make things hard but don’t compound your financial problems with inadequate planning.

Fingerprint Scanning and Bio Metric Technology as Currency

SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS!!! News

April 9, 2016

For years many have speculated on the ideal of a cashless society in which every transaction is collected in data bases, and verification of your electronic bank account is done by a scan of your fingerprint.

Now in Japan, according a news article, the Government there will conduct an experiment where "foreign tourists will be able to verify their identities and buy things at stores using only their fingerprints."

The Japanese Government is hoping to have the system fully implemented by 2020 for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. According to the article :
The experiment will have inbound tourists register their fingerprints and other data, such as credit card information, at airports and elsewhere.Tourists would then be able to conduct tax exemption procedures and make purchases after verifying their identities by placing two fingers on special devices installed at stores. The Inns and Hotels Law requires foreign tourists to show their passports when they check into ryokan inns or hotels. The government plans to substitute fingerprint authentication for that requirement.A total of 300 souvenir shops, restaurants, hotels and other establishments will participate in the experiment. They are located in areas that are popular among foreign tourists such as Hakone, Kamakura, Yugawara in Kanagawa Prefecture, and Atami in Shizuoka Prefecture. The government plans to gradually expand the experiment by next spring, to cover areas including tourist sites in the Tohoku region and urban districts in Nagoya.
Officials of the government claim that security measures will be in place to safeguard the information of customers and prevent breaches of the Private information.

Of course, the real agenda behind these types of programs is to acclimate citizens around the world to the idea of a cashless society.
According to one report, non cash transactions are not only becoming more popular among the average citizen, but it is increasing among companies as well:
The digital revolution will extend well beyond consumer payments and retail banking, causing significant changes in transaction banking. As customers grow accustomed to faster and more convenient payments on the retail side, they will soon demand similar conveniences and service levels in transaction banking. In fact, recent research by McKinsey & Company and by Greenwich Associates already shows a growing preference for digital channels among companies. And having witnessed the impact of nonbanks in consumer banking, transaction bankers are becoming more aware of the nonbank threat in their own backyard, and of the potentially major downside of failing to invest in digital infrastructures and services.
According to Forbes, cash transactions are "no longer king" as digital transactions begin to soar globally:
Debit and credit transactions are taking the place of cash around the world — faster in developing countries than in North America and Europe, according to a recent report by Cap Gemini and RBS, the UK bank. Total non-cash transactions will reach 365.5 billion in 2013, growing at more than 20 percent in developing markets but only 5.6 percent in mature markets. In some cases, developing countries will be able to leapfrog mature markets by moving directly to newer, more flexible technologies in payments, similar to their rapid adoption of wireless without the burden of wire legacy systems.“Developing markets are establishing initiatives and upgrading infrastructure in order to boost non-cash volumes,” the report found. Mobile phones are making a huge impact and that will only increase as inexpensive smartphones proliferate.“M-payments are expected to grow by 60.8 percent annually through to 2015. E-payments will decelerate to 15.9 percent growth during the same period. There is a gradual convergence of e- and m-payments as the distinction between the two diminishes.”
The same report went on to say that checks have almost disappeared in many of the markets:
Checks have almost disappeared in many markets, making up just 4.8 percent on non-cash transactions in Europe in 2012. The U.S. remains a checking account powerhouse, a somewhat dubious distinction, accounting for 65.1 percent of global check transactions.
We are also seeing the drive to have more companies take on fingerprint scanning for financial transactions.  Declining confidence among consumers regarding the use of mobile transactions has many companies looking into biometric technologies for financial transactions.  According to a report by The Deloitte Center for Financial Services :
eroding consumer confidence in the security of mobile financial service applications has forced the industry to take a closer look at incorporating technologies such as biometrics to help alleviate fears and insecurities. The report seems right on cue following our post last week about the need for the financial services and banking industries to more closely assess the use of biometrics for customer and employee ID and to better secure mobile devices while engaging in transactions.
As electronic transactions increase, and cash transactions decrease, citizens here in the United States and around the world will lose the freedom that cash transactions provide - anonymity.

This is the true agenda of the Elites. With electronic transactions, data collection will record all purchases and all payments. This will also enable government entities to freeze transactions among individuals or companies at their discretion.

Remember these words:
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelation 13:16-17
