Bloomberg Poll: Obama Approval Plummets Among Americans Skeptical of Jobs Plan

A majority of Americans don’t believe President Barack Obama’s $447 billion jobs plan will help lower the unemployment rate, skepticism he must overcome as he presses Congress for action and positions himself for re- election.
The downbeat assessment of the American Jobs Act reflects a growing and broad sense of dissatisfaction with the president. Americans disapprove of his handling of the economy by 62 percent to 33 percent, a Bloomberg National Poll conducted Sept. 9-12 shows. The disapproval number represents a nine point increase from six months ago.
The president’s job approval rating also stands at the lowest of his presidency — 45 percent. That rating is driven down in part by a majority of independents, 53 percent, who disapprove of his performance.

(CNSNews.com) – House Foreign Affairs Committee chairwoman Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen acknowledged Tuesday that legislation aimed at making U.S. funding to the United Nations contingent on reforms lacks bipartisan support but said it was important to make a stand for “the principles that we believe in.”
As she prepares to mark up her bill in committee, Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) faces mounting opposition from the Obama administration and advocacy groups supportive of deeper U.S. engagement with the U.N.
The U.N. Transparency, Accountability, and Reform Act (H.R. 2829) also lacks the support of a single House Democrat. The number of co-sponsors has climbed from 57 on Aug. 30 – the day the bill was introduced – to 74 as of Tuesday; all 74 are Republicans.
The bill seeks to change the way the U.N. is funded, allowing the U.S. and other member states to fund only those activities and agencies deemed efficient and in the national interest.

Peter Schiff talks about the President's recent "Jobs Package" in which Obama failed to call the package according to its true intent - a stimulus package, probably since the term has left a bad taste in the mouths of the "mainstreet american people" who have seen only "Wallstreet" benefitting from the previous stimuluses pushed by the Obama administration.
Peter explains how this "Jobs Creation Package" is just a code name for another failed stimulus meant to help Big government and Wall street once again, while failing to help the millions of Americans directly and adversely affected by the recession.
Peter argues that this recent package being pushed by the Obama administration is the same type of stimulus as the previous failed stimuluses, and will have the same consequenses - more unemployment, higher deficits, and less growth for the nation at large.
"I don't care what you call it, it's bad politics. And the reason the stimulus didn't work, is because it contained the same policies that are now in this Jobs Creation Act."
Peter says that whenever Congress names a bill, usually the bill achieves the opposite goal of its title. If this bill is called the "Jobs Creation Act", then you can be sure it will be a jobs destruction act.

We seem to have entered an era of perpetual and unshakeable financial bubbles and the next ripe bubble to burst is in the student loan market. Student loan debt has become the fastest growing debt sector throughout the economic recession. Growth at for-profit colleges has been incredible and tactics used at these institutions reflects patterns seen with the subprime mortgage operators. They target low income markets and exploit government backed loans and pump them through local area lenders. It is a bubble of mammoth proportions and it is no surprise that data released by the Department of Education only a few days ago reflects a default pattern reminiscent of the subprime crisis. Default rates on student loans at for-profit institutions are absolutely abysmal. There is no question now that the student loan bubble is now the next market to pop. What will be the consequences of the $1 trillion student loan market contracting?

“(Department of Education) The U.S. Department of Education today released the official FY 2009 national student loan cohort default rate, which has risen to 8.8 percent, up from 7.0 percent in FY 2008. The cohort default rates increased for all sectors: from 6.0 percent to 7.2 percent for public institutions, from 4.0 percent to 4.6 percent for private institutions, and from 11.6 percent to 15 percent at for-profit schools.”This rate is horrifying. The ways these are measured are reflected by two-year default cohorts so you have 15 percent of the entire group defaulting within two-years! The real default rate is much worse if we tracked these out for the life of the loan. In other words, you have many going to for-profit paper mills and coming out with very little job prospects but with the added burden of massive student loan debt. Clearly the student did not benefit but the profits at these institutions are enormous. The government backing is the only way these lenders and schools even survive. If a bank had to lend their own precious money you think they would give someone $40,000 or even $100,000 in student loans to pursue a degree at an unranked paper mill? Reminds you of people buying tiny condos in Florida for $500,000 with no verifiable income.

When Ron Paul routinely trounces his opposition in post-debate polls, the establishment media dismisses the outcome as not being reflective of national trends. However, a new CNN survey confirms that the Congressman is a top tier candidate and his popularity is rapidly accelerating.
In a national poll conducted by CNN which surveyed over 1,000 Americans between September 9-11, Paul came in fourth just 6 per cent behind Mitt Romney in second , with Sarah Palin third and Rick Perry leading.
“Besides Perry and Romney, Paul beat out the rest of his competition by 7 percent or more. Paul’s support also increased by six percent from the CNN poll that was conducted between August 24-25, 2011,” reports The State Column.
So in effect Ron Paul has doubled his national support in the space of just over two weeks alone, no doubt as a result of his sterling performances in the recent Republican debates. Polls show that the Texan Congressman has emerged victorious from every debate thus far.
Rick Perry is clearly the frontrunner at the moment, receiving 30 per cent in the CNN poll, but he is there to be shot at and his popularity is quickly losing steam. The Texas Governor was whacked from all sides during the debate last night and the more people learn about his involvement in the HPV controversy, his tax hikes and his globalist tendencies, the myth that Perry is a down-home conservative will swiftly evaporate.

I don't believe the official
story of 9/11 because I know the official story of 9/11!
During the past 10 years I have not met a
single individual who, after doing research on the
subjectpen, switched from questioning the official narrative of the events of
9/11/2001 to believing the official narrative of those events.. It is
always the other way around. Why do you think that is? There are good
reasons for this, and I will try to explain this phenomenon right
now.
The term "conspiracy theorist", perhaps the most misapplied description in our vernacular, is often used to describe 9/11 truthers. Perhaps that term does apply to a segment of the 9/11 truth movement. But in most cases a more accurate description of 9/11 truthers is probably "expert", or "scholar", or "researcher." You see, much of the doubt cast on the official narrative of the events of 9/11 has not come in the form of speculated accusations, or "theories." In fact, it has come in the form of questions that have been raised after a careful study of the official and undisputed events and details.

Ten years have passed since the infamous
events of September 11th, 2001 took place, and the majority of people still
don't know a damn thing about the actual details of that event. They don't know
what was going on in the country with regard to our military that day. They
don't know the history or the activities of key members of our government,
defense establishment or intelligence community, on, or during the weeks, and in
some cases the years leading up to that day. They don't know what took place
during or immediately following the events of that day. And they don't know what
actions were taken by those key people following that event.
As is the case with so many issues,
people tend to stand strong and argue a position or voice an opinion about an
event like 9/11. But, when questioned about the many details surrounding that
event they have no answers. They are clueless. And they are, in the end,
dumbfounded.
I can not tell you how many times I
have discussed the events of 9/11 with an outraged citizen who can not believe
that I would "accuse our own government" of such a terrible thing as conducting
a false flag operation, only to hear the phrase "no, I did not know that, is
that true?" repeated over and over as I "educate" them about those little things
called DETAILS. I can not count the pale-faced stunned looks on people's faces
as I exposed them to some of the "official facts" they never suspected, and
never knew. I have walked away from many a confrontation with newly educated
"patriotic Americans", only to worry about whether or not they would again resume breathing correctly.
They would never do such a
thing
A common start and end to any intelligent
discussion about the events of 9/11 is prefaced by the assumption that no
American would betray his or her country by allowing or conducting an attack on
the American people. Well, the people who take this position know nothing about
history, let alone human nature. They also don't know about the
public positions, declarations, speeches and published documents written by the
people who ran our nation on that day.
False flag operations have taken place
for generations, in this nation and nations around the world. Many of these
operations have been exposed, but proof of many of these activities is probably
hidden away in secret documents that may one day come to light. You can however,
start your exploration on the topic by researching one plan for American
self-inflicted terrorism that became public, Operation
Northwoods. Do I detect my first "I did not know this, is it true?" May I
suggest you also peek into the neoconservative teachings of the principles involved in
running our nation at the time of the "new Pearl Harbor" that took place in
2001.
But the 9/11 Commission did
not find anything wrong
I can not believe how many people do not
know the genesis or mission of the 9/11 Kean Commission. From the initial
appointment of one of America's most nefarious political figures as its original
leader, Henry Kissinger, - to its executive director whose area of
expertise and education were in the creation and maintaining of public myths, Philip D.
Zelikow,- people have no idea as to who comprised or what the mandate was
for this commission.
To give you some kind of idea as to why
the "findings" of this commission can NOT be used to back up any talking points
on the topic of 9/11, let me remind you what the official task of this
commission was. The Kean Commissions was told to document the official story and
make national security recommendations based on that story. The
only information that was to be included in the official report had to
match the official story. If any one member of the committee
objected to any testimony or finding, that piece of information was to be left
out of the report For some examples of this you can talk to the thousands of
people who became 9/11 truthers as a result of their testimony being omitted
from and contradicted by the final report.
Start with the WTC worker credited with
being the last man out of the WTC William Rodriguez. See if he can tell you why, after being
invited to the White House and meeting with George W. Bush, his
testimony about witnessing explosions in the sub basement of the WTC moments
prior to the first plane hitting the building was omitted from the Kean report.
And for more details you can read David Ray Griffin's book called The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions And Distortions. It
pretty much translated the Kean report into a stack of rather harsh and useless
toilet
paper. Are the "I did not know this, is it true?" responses
piling up yet?
