RESEARCH: ISLAM NOW WORLD’S MOST COMMON OFFICIAL STATE RELIGION

Infowars News
October 6, 2017

Research conducted by the Pew Research Center found Islam is the most common official state religion among the nearly 43 countries that have a religious faith, with many Islamic nations making affiliation with the faith mandatory.
After analyzing data from 2015, Pew Research Center found 43 countries have an official state religion, 40 countries have a “preferred faith,” 10 countries are openly hostile to all faiths, and the remaining 106 have no official or preferred religion.
Of the 43 countries with an official state religion, 27 countries name some form of Islam as their state religion. 13 countries name Christianity as their official state religion, while two cite Buddhism and only one (Israel) cites Judaism.
Christianity is the most frequent “preferred religion” with nearly 28 countries expressing preference for some denomination of the faith. Another three countries prefer Islam, while four name Buddhism and the remainder cite multiple faiths.
It is noteworthy that the only nations that force religious membership on its citizens – Comoros, Maldives, Mauritania, and Saudi Arabia – are countries that cite Islam as their official state religion.
Many Islamic countries, including Jordan, subsidizes certain mosque activities and manages Islamic institutions, while other religious organizations must register with the government to own land or perform religious rites.
Ten countries declare no state religion, and are openly hostile to all religious activities. Some, including China, Cuba, North Korea, and Vietnam, are Communist nations that oppose organized religion as such activities threaten central governmental power.
While China nominally claims its citizens have “freedom of religious belief,” the Communist government only allows five government-sponsored “patriotic religious organizations” to hold religious services. In addition, practitioners of Falun Gong are brutally repressed by the Communist government, with many subjected to torture, execution and organ harvesting.
The remaining six nations, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, are all former Communist bloc nations that retain the Soviet Union’s hostility to organized religion, despite the population of each nation being overwhelmingly Muslim.
“Most governments around the globe, however, are generally neutral toward religion. More than 100 countries and territories included in the study have no official or preferred religion as of 2015,” the report said. “These include countries like the United States that may give benefits or privileges to religious groups, but generally do so without systematically favoring a specific group over others.”

The Sin of Pride

Rabbi David of Lelov fasted and afflicted himself for his sins. For six years he fasted, and then for another six. Yet he was still not satisfied that he had achieved perfect atonement, but he did not know what else to do.So he traveled to Lizhensk to ask the holy Elimelekh what he still lacked.

He arrived just before the Sabbath. That evening he went before the Rabbi with all the other disciples and reached out his hand for the rabbi's handshake. To his dismay, Elimelekh shook everyone's hand but his. "Surely he mistakes me for someone else," he thought.

When the prayers were over, he approached the rabbi again, but again the rabbi snubbed him.

All that night he wept. In the morning he decided to leave Lizhensk as soon as the Sabbath had ended. But when the third meal came, the time when Elimelekh spoke words of Torah, he could not resist peeking in at the window of the rabbi's house and listening in.

"Some people think," he heard the rabbi say, "that by fasting six years and then another six years, they achieve perfection of the soul. Then they come to me so that I can supply the little they still lack. What they fail to see is that all their sacrifices and devotion only serve the idol of their own pride, not heaven. If they want to serve Ha Shem truly, they must turn away from the path they are now on and serve Ha Shem with a truthful heart."

When Rabbi David heard Elimelekh's words, his heart trembled within his breast and he began to cry. At the conclusion of havdalah, he opened the door to Elimelekh's house and stood there, shaking with fear.

Elimelekh ran up to him , embraced him and cried, "Welcome! A blessing upon your head!"

When he saw this, Eleazar, Elimelekh's son, burst out, " Father, isn't this the same man whom you snubbed twice because you couldn't even stand the sight of him?"

"Oh no!", replied Elimelekh with a broad smile. "That was somebody completely different. Don't you see that this is our own dear Rabbi David?"    - Hasidic Tale

"When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom."
-Proverbs 11:2

We as believers in Ha Shem often feel as if we must somehow cleanse and perfect ourselves through our own efforts. In the story above, the rabbi devoted twelve years to fasting and afflicting himself, yet he still felt that there was something lacking within himself. It was only after being snubbed by Elimelekh, that he saw his pride keeping himself from truly serving Ha Shem.

We can sometimes be like the Rabbi David, thinking that we can perform acts of devotion, whether it be fasting, afflicting ourselves, or even by attending service and helping with charities, etc. We then go to "Elimelekh" (which means - My G-d is King) and ask Him to supply the little that is still lacking.....

This is indeed a boastful and proud way of seeing oneself, as if anything we can do would in anyway please Ha Shem, or perfect one's own being.

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
-Isaiah 64:6
It is when we can come to the conclusion that it is Ha Shem who perfects our way, through His instruction, that we can be humble enough to ask Him to supply all that is lacking within us.
"But my El shall supply all your need according to His riches in Kavode (glory) by Mashiakh Yahshua."
-Phillipians 4:19
It's not that we should neglect fasting, or assembling together, or even giving to charity etc., but we must not think that any of these things by our own merit are what makes us whole, or perfects us. Shle'akh Sha'ul taught :
"Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise."
-I Corinthians 3:18
If we are to be perfect before Ha Shem, then we must look to what is perfect that Ha Shem has given to us.

The law of YHWH is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of YHWH is sure, making wise the simple. -Psalm 19:7
Humility is something we must cultivate in our walk with The Holy One. Our Mashiakh is the perfect example:
"Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Mashiakh Yahshua, who, though he was in the form of El, did not count equality with El a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men."
-Phillipians 2:5-7
We must empty ourselves of the ways and desires of this world, and seek to fill ourselves with the things of Ha Shem. His Torah is what He desires for us. He has given instruction to us that we might be filled with joy and long life upon the earth, as well as in the Olawm Ha Bah (the world to come).

In Aikido, the first lesson I was taught as a student, was the lesson of "Ukemi", -"to fall". We had to learn first to take a fall. It was a very "humbling" experience to say the least. But in repeated falls, it built and toughened my body.

Relying on Ha Shem, and following His instruction (Torah) is the way to a great reward.

The law of YHWH is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of YHWH is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of YHWH are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of YHWH is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of YHWH is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of YHWH are true and righteous altogether.More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward."
-Psalm 19
Pride will stifle our walk with Ha Shem and bring many sorrows along the way:

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
- Isaiah 13:11

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
-I John 2:16

Celebrating Passover Around the World

The elders of the Abayudaya in Uganda.
According to legend, at Passover Elijah the Prophet visits ever Seder table around the world. As he travels he must marvel at the diversity of traditions that can be found in different communities and regions. These global traditions provide wonderful ways to prompt new questions and interest at any Seder.
While many communities use a special Seder plate to hold the edible and visual supplies for their Seder, Persian and Yemenite Jews place the different items directly on the table, or in small bowls in front of each person, so that they surround the participants, creating a truly immersive environment. Others use a basket covered with a decorated cloth to hold all the different ritual items, as do the Jews of Tunisia, so that they are ready to take them off the table and leave Egypt right away–it adds to the feeling of reenacting the Exodus.
Tactile and visual clues provide another way to enhance the experience. Lately, “plague bags” with different toys for each of the ten plagues have become popular. The Tunisian community has had the same sort of idea for a lot longer. They place a fishbowl with live fish swimming in it on the table next to the Seder plate, to evoke crossing the Red Sea by seeing the fish that swam in the walls of water on either side.
The Jews of Kavkaz, in the Caucasus mountains, took advantage of the tradition outside of Israel of holding two Seders by holding their first night Seder in Hebrew, and the second night in their own language, so as to both hear the language of our ancestors and also be able to deeply understand what is going on. Following their example or modifying it to fit your needs can bring richness and depth to a Seder.
The beginning of the Seder, like the opening scene of a good play, needs to engage and interest the participants. Instead of simply announcing the start, you could begin with the Seder leader or another participant circling the Seder plate over the head of each of the participants three times, reciting “In haste we came out of Egypt,” as is done in Morocco and Tunisia. Each individual responds with “Ha Lachma Anya” “This is the bread of affliction” or with “Avadim hayinu” “We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt”. This physically immerses you in the sights and sounds of the Seder.
Alternatively the Jews of Persia, ask each participant to take a turn holding up the plate of matzot and reciting the 14 steps of the Seder in order, ending with “Ha Lachma Anya,” “This is the bread of affliction.” This gives each participant the chance to take a first step into the experience individually, and to commit to this year’s journey to freedom.
As we come to the Maggid section, in which the story of the Exodus is recounted, our core desire is to experience and understand what it meant to go from slavery to freedom. Many communities mixed readings with theater to recreate the sense of adventure and urgency. Consider doing as the Jews of Romania were accustomed to do. When you read the piece of the Haggadah that begins “We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt” (In Hebrew “Avadim Hayinu”), take a pillowcase filled with heavy objects, and carry it on your back, around the table. First an older person might trudge around the table with his or her back bent under the load, and then each child could take a turn. In Uganda, they retell themiracle of the modern redemption of the Abayudaya from religious slavery. In Romania, adults would say “difficult to be a slave” over and over as the children experienced the weight of slavery.
Or you might begin your Seder as Iraqi Jews do- then be “interrupted” by a knock on the door. One member of the family dresses up as a nomad, with a hat, knapsack and walking stick. The leader of the Seder quizzes him or her: “where are you coming from?” (Egypt) “Where are you going?” (Jerusalem) and finally “what are the supplies for your trip?,” which cues the ‘actor’ to begin singing the 4 questions.
The recital of the 10 plagues is a disturbing moment in the Seder, as we realize that our freedom comes at the price of someone else’s suffering. At many Seders, each participant removes a small amounts of wine or grape juice from their cup as each of the 10 plagues are read, symbolizing the lessening of our joy because of their pain. Most Ashkenazi Jews remove some with their finger and place each drop on their plates. Other communities make the symbolism more visible. Some Sephardim  pour wine off into a bowl of water, so that by the end it looks red, and we see in front of us the blood of those who suffered so that we could go free. Indian Jews take a slightly different approach and have a Cup of Pharaoh from which the wine is taken, diminishing the power of the one who caused the plagues, and the suffering of his people, through his refusal to let his slaves go free.
One of the challenges of a long Seder is keeping the young ones involved. The Afikomen, the last piece of food eaten at the Seder is, in many communities, one way that we keep children engaged. Often the afikomen is hidden, and children are asked to find it, so that we may end the meal. Other children steal it, and demand that it be ransomed back. Still others follow Bukharan custom, and let children use a towel to gently mock-whip the person who hid it until the location is divulged.
Iraqi Jews take a different approach, and do not hide the Afikomen, but rather tie the afikomen to the back of a small child and tell him or her to guard it, which helps the little one stay awake and aware of their special role in the Seder.
The story of the Exodus from Egypt is the core the story of the Jewish people. It is a universal tale that speaks to global themes of suffering, freedom and faith. Bringing the global custom to your Seder this year can not only bring new meaning to familiar rituals but also connect you with the global traditions of our people.

Coming to your Bible

Battle Cry
Jan/Feb 15 Edition

A recent article in Christianity Today is headlined : "Pop Francis: Why Everyone Loves the Pope."
It lauds Francis' "unscripted" style "committed to breaking down the often bitter rivalry between evangelicals and Catholics." It mentions his recent apology to Italian Evangelicals for the Catholic religion's participation in persecution of Pentecostals prior to World War II.

Note this statement from the article: "At the Second Vatican Council, the Catholic Church adopted a much more biblical approach, transforming its worship and fundamentally changing its relation to modern secular culture."

How does a PR campaign and an updated system of rituals make it more biblical? To be more biblical, purgatory would have to go, along with the worship of the wafer god and virgin goddess, works of salvation, and the pope's claim that tradition and Magisterium are equal to or supersede Scripture.

Even after all these changes, we would have to ask, which Bible? Author David W. Daniels points out in his book, Why They Changed the Bible, how all modern Bibles are increasingly slanted to support Rome's pagan dogmas. An entire section is devoted to the scheme to include the Apocrypha in the Bible. He describes how the Bible Societies were, from the beginning, infiltrated with Jesuits or Vatican sympathizers. Bible societies agreed not only to change text wording to favor unbiblical Catholic teaching, but to add in the Apocrypha whenever requested. Bible translators all over the world are subject to a 1960s agreement with the Vatican to add the Apocrypha to any translation if the Catholic groups ask for it. The history and tragic results of this are detailed in Why They Changed the Bible.

Seminaries all over the world are starting to require their students to get bibles complete with something called the "Deuterocanonicals." this is another word for what we know as the Apocrypha. It is also a deceptive word. It makes the reader think these fairytales, superstitions and occultism are actually a "secondary canon" on a level just below scripture - "scripture lite." The truth is that they have raised men's words to the level of [G-d's] words and have lowered [G-d's] words to the level of man's.

The Vatican desperately needs the Apocrypha in the Bible. When they cannot distort a Bible passage to fit one of their pagan doctrines, they resort to the Apocrypha. For example, their teaching of purgatory is based on the Apocryphal books of 2 Maccabees 12:45 and Tobit 12:9. Using money to pay for sins appears in Ecclesiasticus 3:30 "Water will quench a flaming fire; and alms maketh atonement for sins."

The Apocrypha also contains such strange advice as using smoked fish liver to dispel demons (Tobit 6), and suggest that suicide, in some cases is manly and noble (2 Maccabees 14:37-46). Strange historical inaccuracies also appear, such as the death records of Antiochus Epiphanes, who must have died twice when you compare 2 Maccabees 2:13-16 to 9:1-29. A search of Christianbook.com turns up 46 items for sale related to the Deuterocanonicals/Apocrypha, with over two dozen Bibles that include them. Supposedly these are only for Roman Catholics, but Daniel's research discovered that the groundwork has been laid over the decades within the Bible Societies to ultimately produce a Bible with the Apocrypha and subtle watering-down to one world Bible for one world religion. The Jesuit pope's PR campaign continues to sugar coat the bait in the trap for Evangelicals who have already swallowed the poison of the modern (Catholic) versions.

PASTOR ATTACKED BY MUSLIMS HAS WARNING MESSAGE FOR AMERICA & ISRAEL

EVERY AMERICAN NEEDS TO HEAR THIS MESSAGE!! WAKE UP!! Pastor issues a warning to Americans. One thing Islam is doing to you is causing you to be fearful. Stand up and speak out against the invasion of Islamization which is going on in your country. Stand up before it’s too late. If you allow the Muslims to intimidate you within time your children and grandchildren will be Muslims. Stand up right now to defeat the globalization of Islam.

PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS FAILED CHRISTIANS & JEWS
There are certain axiomatic truths in life like;
“Don’t spit into the wind,”
“Don’t sword fight with Errol Flynn,”
“Don’t back down from the bully.”
When you violate an axiomatic truth and codify it as national security policy you get savage Muslim jihadi’s throwing acid onto the face of Pastor Umar Mulinde.
President Obama’s pro-appeasement, pro-Muslim policies had the (predictably) opposite effect by fueling the anger and hatred that shariah Muslims have toward Christians and Jews. The evidence of Obama’s failure is seen in the life of Pastor Umar and in the stoning of Christians in Dearborn, Michigan and in the increased Muslim attacks against
Jews throughout Europe.
“Pastor, can you help me?” Those were the last words that Pastor Umar Melinde, a thirty-seven-year old former Muslim turned pastor/evangelist, heard before he felt the sting of acid striking his face. Then, another bucket on his back. He screamed and ran back towards the church for help as his assailants cried out, “Allah Akbar! Allah Akbar!”

Iraqi Prime Minister Speaks Up for Persecuted Christians

The Blaze
July 22, 2014

BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraq’s prime minister on Sunday condemned the Islamic State extremist group’s actions targeting Christians in territory it controls, saying they reveal the threat the jihadists pose to the minority community’s “centuries-old heritage.”
The comments from Nouri al-Maliki come a day after the expiration of a deadline imposed by the Islamic State group calling on Christians in the militant-held city of Mosul to convert to Islam, pay a tax of face death. Most Christians opted to flee to the nearby self-rule Kurdish region or other areas protected by Kurdish security forces.

Iraq’s Shiite prime minister on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 rejected calls to form an interim “national salvation government” that critics say would allow the country’s squabbling sects to quickly present a unified front in the face of a growing threat by Sunni militants who have seized several cities this month. (AP Photo/Brendan Smialowski, Pool, File)
“What is being done by the Daesh terrorist gang against our Christian citizens in Ninevah province, and their aggression against the churches and houses of worship in the areas under their control reveals beyond any doubt the extremist criminal and terrorist nature of this group,” al-Maliki said in a statement released by his office, using the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State group.

Military Bans Bibles But Forces Soldiers to Adhere to Ramadan Rules

Gateway Pundit
June 28, 2014

The US Air Force kicked Christian Gideon’s volunteers off base in March.
The Bibles were too offensive and violated the separation of church and state rule.
But US military personnel are expected to adhere Islamic practices during Ramadan.
Stars and Stripes reported:
U.S. personnel accustomed to drinking their coffee on the drive to work will have to put that habit on hold for about a month. It’s one of a few lifestyle changes Americans will have to make during the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Officials expect Ramadan to begin at sunrise on Saturday, depending on when the new moon is sighted. The holy month lasts for approximately 30 days — until about July 28. For Muslims around the world, Ramadan is a month of fasting and devotion to God. Most Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, when families gather for Iftar — the meal that breaks the fast.
For the 8,200 U.S. personnel living here, and those serving throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility — including servicemembers, civilian personnel, contractors and family members — the month may require changing some daily routines.
Businesses and government offices will reduce hours and most restaurants will be closed during daylight hours.
While not required to fast during Ramadan, in Bahrain, Americans can be fined or detained by local authorities for eating, drinking or smoking in public when off-base during daylight hours.
Navy officials are requiring U.S. personnel to dress more conservatively off-base during Ramadan. Although not a requirement by Bahraini authorities, the Navy is demanding that men wear long-sleeved shirts and women wear sleeved blouses that cover their elbows. Also, men must wear long trousers, and women should wear pants or skirts that cover the knees.

HISTORIC FIRST EVER ISLAMIC PRAYERS AT VATICAN SIGNALS START OF ONE WORLD RELIGION

Now The End Begins
June 24, 2014

AND UPON HER FOREHEAD WAS A NAME WRITTEN, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”Revelation 17:14
CHRISLAM WILL BE THE ONE WORLD RELIGION
The book of Revelation is quite clear when it discusses the Catholic system in chapters 17 and 18.  The Vatican sitting on seven hills is called the “mother of harlots”, a pagan system of worship that has control over the whole world. She is carried by the beast, and is the enemy of God. More than that, she will rule for a period of time with complete power over kings, mighty men and all the inhabitants of the earth. The One World Religion during the time of the Great Tribulation.
historic-first-muslim-prayers-vatican-pope-francis-revelation-17-false-prophet-one-world-religion
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4
So it is with great interest that we note that the Vatican, which represents 1 billion+ Catholics around the world, and Islam which claims more than 1 billion+ Muslim adherents, have begun to merge and join forces. Al Arabiya reports this:
For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Holy See officials on Friday said the evening prayers would be a “pause in politics” and had no political aim other than to rekindle the desire for Israeli-Palestinian peace at the political and popular level.
In prophecy, the Pope is not the Antichrist, he is the False Prophet. It will be his job to control the One World Religion,  just as it will be the job of the Antichrist to create and control the One World Government. The Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the Beast which is Satan himself, are the Unholy Trinity that the scriptures warn will come. If Pope Francis continues on this path, and there is no reason why he wouldn’t, it is highly likely that he is the False Prophet of Revelation. That means that the arrival of the Antichrist is next, and that the Rapture of the Church can happen at any moment.
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4
A 7 Year Peace Treaty is about to be crafted and signed by all parties concerned. This is the goal that Pope Francis is working towards. When will it happen? No one can say. But this is as close to that peace treaty as we have ever been in the 2,000 years since the prophecies were first given. Tomorrow at the Vatican, the Catholic Pope will lead the main representative of Israel and the main representative of Islam in a worship service at the place that the bible calls the “mother of harlots”. They all claim to want “peace” at any cost. A peace is coming, but it will be a false peace administered by a false messiah. It will be the time of Jacob’s Trouble.
The Times of Israel reports that “According to a statement released by Peres’s spokesperson, Abbas, Peres, and Francis will be joined by Jewish, Christian and Islamic religious leaders. The event will feature readings about peace by the clergy from the Tanach, the New Testament and the Quran. Francis will then read religious verses with Peres and Abbas, which the three will have selected for the ceremony.”
Yes, we are really that close.

The War on Christians

Weekly Standard
Jun 18, 2014

From Africa, to Asia, to the Middle East, they’re the world’s most persecuted religious group

For at least three reasons, the contemporary persecution of Christians demands attention: It is occurring on a massive scale, it is underreported, and in many parts of the world it is rapidly growing.
A survivor of the bombing at All Saints Church in Peshawar, which killed 80.
NEWSCOM
The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life finds that Christians are suffering persecution in more places today than any other religious group; between 2006 and 2012, Pew says, they were targeted for harassment in 151 countries—three-quarters of the world’s states. Similar findings are reported by the Vatican, Newsweek, theEconomist, and the 60-year-old Christian support group Open Doors. Most people in the West are unaware of these facts, though that may be changing.
A few cases do get press coverage—the desperate plight of Meriam Ibrahim, for instance, who gave birth in a Sudanese prison just the other day. She was raised a Christian, but after officials learned that her long-absent father was a Muslim, she was sentenced to death for apostasy—for leaving Islam. And since in Sudan a Muslim woman may not be married to a Christian, her marriage to her American husband was declared void, and she was convicted of adultery and sentenced to 100 lashes to be administered before her execution. These punishments will be dropped if she renounces her Christian faith, which she steadfastly refuses to do.
Another case receiving attention is North Korea’s sentencing of a South Korean missionary, Kim Jong-uk, to life with hard labor. On May 30, he was convicted of espionage and trying to start a church. North Korea also still holds Kenneth Bae, an American sentenced to 15 years’ hard labor on charges of trying to use religion to overthrow the political system.

Why Does Christian Persecution Get Worse In Every Country The U.S. “Liberates”?

Michael Snyder
American Dream
May 19, 2014
When the U.S. military “liberates” a nation, shouldn’t it result in more liberty, freedom and peace for the people living there?  Instead, we find just the opposite.  In fact, in every single case since 9/11, when the U.S. military has “liberated” a nation it has resulted in the persecution of Christians in that country becoming much worse.
Image: Christian Church (Wiki Commons).
In areas where we spent hundreds of billions of dollars and where thousands of precious American lives were sacrificed, churches are regularly being bombed, Christians are being brutally beheaded, and laws have been passed to make it illegal for a Muslim to convert to Christianity.  If we were not even able to provide the most basic of liberties and freedoms to the people living in those nations, what in the world did we actually accomplish by “liberating” them?
Just look at what has happened in Afghanistan.  We have been at war in Afghanistan for more than a dozen years, and yet things are so bad for Christians in that country at this point that there is not a single church left
The supposedly “moderate” Karzai government installed by the U.S. upholds many of the draconian laws enforced by the Taliban—including the apostasy law, fiercely persecuting those who seek to convert to Christianity—and, in 2011, under U.S. auspices, it destroyed Afghanistan’s last Christian church.
We find a similar story in Iraq.  It is estimated that before the invasion, there were up to 2 million Christians living in Iraq.  Now that number is down to less than 450,000, and it is falling fast.
In fact, things are so dire for Iraq’s Christian community that some Iraqi Christian leaders are warning that Christians may soon become “extinct” in that nation…
As the mass exodus of Iraq’s Christians continues, so does the call for ending the plight of those who have remained. Like Iraq’s ancient Jewish community before them, one of the world’s oldest Christian communities may soon cease to exist.
The disappearance of Iraq’s religious minorities has been a troubling trend since the US-led invasion in 2003, and it has threatened to end the cultural diversity of Iraq. As the violence in the country spikes and religious intolerance grows, many Christians, Yazidis, Mandaeans and other minority community members are leaving the country.
Last week, the head of the Iraqi Catholic Church sent a chilling warning that Iraq’s 2,000-year-old Christian community is on the brink of extinction as new waves of Christians take the journey of exodus.
It is estimated that the Iraq war cost U.S. taxpayers more than 2 trillion dollars.
We spent more than a million dollars on one soccer field alone (which has now turned to dust).
In the end, what did we actually accomplish?
The Obama administration likes to brag about how it got rid of Qaddafi and “liberated” Libya, but now al-Qaeda is in control of much of the country and things are much worse for Christians than ever before
Ever since U.S.-backed, al-Qaeda-linked terrorists overthrew Qaddafi, Christians—including Americans—have indeed suffered extreme persecution. Churches have been bombed; Christians have been tortured and killed (including for refusing to convert); and nuns have been threatened.
In Syria, the Obama administration is shamelessly allying with radical al-Qaeda jihadists in a desperate attempt to overthrow the Assad regime.
As these jihadists torture, behead and even crucify Christian believers, the mainstream media in the United States is virtually silent about it.
Why is the media being so quiet?
Well, because exposing what is going on would make the Obama administration look bad.
Those carrying out this persecution of Christians in Syria are being directly funded and aided by the governments of the United States and Saudi Arabia.  For much more on what is going on in Syria, please see my previous article entitled “Why Is The Media Silent About The Crucifixion Of Christians By Radical Jihadists?
And of course it is not just in the Middle East where this kind of persecution of Christians is taking place.
While Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, the State Department refused to label Boko Haram as a terrorist organization.
But now the whole world is talking about Boko Haram.  This group has attacked more than 700 churches in Nigeria over the past seven years, and this has resulted in a massive exodus of Christians from northern Nigeria to southern Nigeria…
Christian groups estimate that up to a quarter of the 4,000 people killed by Boko Haram since 2009 have been Christians, and more than 700 churches have been attacked in the last seven years alone, according to the Nigerian Catholic Bishop’s Conference. Across the troubled north-east, many Christian neighbourhoods are now ghost towns as tens of thousands of residents flee south. It is one of the biggest Christian exoduses of the century, yet largely unremarked outside of Nigeria.
It is hard to put into words how brutal Boko Haram can be.  As a recent article in the Telegraph described, the persecution of Christians in northern Nigeria by Boko Haram  has been absolutely relentless…
Arriving at St Joseph’s church in the Nigerian town of Gashua, Father John Bakeni knew he was taking on a tough posting. A flyblows settlement near the northern border with Niger, his new parish was smack in the heart of Boko Haram territory, and in the previous three years, all but a fraction of its 3,000-strong Christian minority had fled.
Sent by his bishop to show that the diocese had not deserted the town, he spent much of the following year trying to reassure the 200 remaining parishioners. But nearly every time he ventured from his rectory, a reminder would await him of the difficulty of his mission.
“Several times a week I would find a dead animal had been thrown in the compound, usually a chicken, goat or sheep, but sometimes dead cats too,” said Fr Bakeni, 38. “Stones would get thrown at the church almost every day, and sometimes also people would bang the gates and shout: ‘Infidel, we are going to kill you.’
So why has the Obama administration been so hesitant to speak out against Boko Haram until now?
In fact, although most Americans do not realize this, the Obama administration has been quite supportive of Boko Haram in the past.  Obama even actually threatened the Nigerian government with economic sanctions in 2013 in an attempt to keep them from cracking down on Boko Haram.
What in the world was the Obama administration thinking?
Whose side are they on anyway?
If you love liberty and freedom, you should be deeply troubled by the spread of groups such as Boko Haram.
Just look at what is happening in another part of Africa where jihadists have gained control.  In Sudan, a pregnant woman was recently sentenced to death by hanging for marrying a Christian man…
A Sudanese woman doctor who married a Christian man and who was convicted earlier this week on charges of “apostasy” was sentenced to death on Thursday, judicial officials said.
According to the Sudanese officials, 26-year-old Meriam Ibrahim, whose father was Muslim, was convicted on Sunday and given four days to repent and escape death. She was sentenced after that grace period expired, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.
The BBC reported the woman’s death by hanging will not be carried out until two years after the birth of her child.
This kind of tyranny should not be tolerated in today’s world.
But instead, the U.S. government seems to be helping to spread it.
So exactly why is this happening?

CA Teacher Forces Student to Stop Talking About Bible

Truth Revolt
January 15, 2014

On December 19, a school teacher in Temecula, California told her first grade student, Brynn Williams, that she could not present her family's Christmas tradition of a star of Bethlehem at her school, according to local reports.
Brynn's class was assigned to do a 1-minute presentation about an object that best represents their family's Christmas tradition. When Brynn stood up to give her presentation, she began reciting a Bible verse just before the teacher interrupted and told her to ”go take your seat". She was the only student not allowed to finish her presentation.
"When this took place she was hurt," said Brynn's father Shane, "she felt that she had done something wrong and she was going to be punished."
Brynn's family has since sought legal counsel with Advocates for Faith & Freedom.
"The disapproval and hostility that Christian students have come to experience in our nation's public schools has become epidemic,” said Robert Tyler, general counsel for Advocates for Faith & Freedom, "I hope that (the school district ) will take the lead role in adopting a model policy to prohibit this abuse that has become all too common place for religious-minded students."
The Temecula Valley School District released only the following statement:
The Temecula Valley Unified School District respects all students' rights under the Constitution and takes very seriously any allegation of discrimination. Due to the fact that District officials are currently investigating the allegations, it would be inappropriate to provide further comment at this time.
This story broke shortly after advocates for religious freedom picked up on another controversial incident in a West Covina school district where another teacher prevented her student from bringing on campus "candy canes with a religious message".

Is Pope Francis Laying The Groundwork For A One World Religion?

Michael Snyder
American Dream
April 15, 2013
Does Pope Francis intend to help the global elite achieve their goal of uniting all of the religions of the world under a single banner?  Will he be instrumental in establishing a single global religion for the glorious “new age” that the global elite believe is coming?  After he was elected, the cover of Time Magazine declared Pope Francis to be the “New World Pope“, and since his election Pope Francis has made it abundantly clear that he is going to make ecumenical outreach a top priority.  He has spoken of his “determination to continue on the path of ecumenical dialogue“, and he has already held a number of very high profile ecumenical meetings.  Not only has he worked hard to reach out to leaders from various Christian traditions, he has also made it a point to try to acknowledge the mutual bonds that he feels with all other religions.  For example, in one recent address he made it a point to say that he believes that Muslims worship and pray to the “one God” that he also worships.  This “all roads lead to the same God” philosophy is a hallmark of the one world religion that the global elite have been slowly building toward for decades.  The global elite know that even with a one world economy and a one world government, humanity will never be truly united until there is a single global religion.  Unfortunately, this one world religion that they are seeking to establish is diametrically opposed to the Christianity that we find in the Bible.  By throwing out Biblical truth for the sake of “friendship between men and women of different religious traditions“, is Pope Francis fundamentally betraying the faith that he claims to represent?
If there is going to be a one world religion, there will have to be a bond formed between Roman Catholicism and Islam.  They are the two largest religious traditions on the planet, and so any truly “global religion” would definitely require the participation of both of them.
That is one reason why what Pope Francis has already had to say about Islam is so noteworthy.  The following comes from remarks that he made during his very first ecumenical meeting
I then greet and cordially thank you all, dear friends belonging to other religious traditions; first of all the Muslims, who worship the one God, living and merciful, and call upon Him in prayer, and all of you. I really appreciate your presence: in it I see a tangible sign of the will to grow in mutual esteem and cooperation for the common good of humanity.
The Catholic Church is aware of the importance of promoting friendship and respect between men and women of different religious traditions – I wish to repeat this: promoting friendship and respect between men and women of different religious traditions – it also attests the valuable work that the Pontifical Council for interreligious dialogue performs.
But are “Allah” and the God of the Bible the same thing?
Of course not.  For example, Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God.  Muslims deny this vehemently.  For much more on why “Allah” and the God of the Bible are not the same, please see this article.
So either Pope Francis is denying the divinity of Jesus Christ, or he is exhibiting a frightening ignorance of basic Christian theology, or there is some other agenda at work here.
During that same ecumenical meeting, Pope Francis also made it a point to state that he feels “close” to those that belong “to any religious tradition”…
In this, we feel close even to all those men and women who, whilst not recognizing themselves belonging to any religious tradition, feel themselves nevertheless to be in search of truth, goodness and beauty, this truth, goodness and beauty of God, and who are our precious allies in efforts to defend the dignity of man, in building a peaceful coexistence among peoples and in guarding Creation carefully.
It is one thing to love people and to seek to build friendships with them, but it is another thing entirely to throw out the most basic beliefs of the faith that you supposedly represent in order to promote a specific agenda.
And Pope Francis definitely appears to have an agenda.  On another occasion, Pope Francis declared that it was time “to intensify dialogue” with other religions, and that he was “thinking particularly of dialogue with Islam.”
But this affinity for Islam did not just begin recently.  The truth is that Pope Francis was working hard to build bridges with Islam even when he was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires
“His humility drew my attention,” Sheik Mohsen Ali, an important Islamic leader in Argentina, told the Buenos Aires Herald. He “always showed himself a friend of the Islamic community.”
And Pope Francis has a reputation for being a cleric that really “knows Islam“…
Sumer Noufouri, secretary-general of the Islamic Center of the Republic of Argentina, told the Buenos Aires Herald that the new pope is a “respectful, pro-dialogue person who knows Islam.”
But of course Pope Francis is not just reaching out to the Islamic world.
He has also been working hard to “intensify dialogue” with other Christian traditions.
In particular, he seems quite interested in improving relations with the Orthodox churches of the east…
Before his address, the pope had a private meeting withEcumenical Patriarch Bartholomew from Istanbul, who attended Francis’s inaugural Mass on Tuesday.
It was the first time the spiritual head of Orthodox Christians had attended a Roman pope’s inaugural Mass since the Great Schism between western and eastern Christianity in 1054.
At Wednesday’s meeting, Francis called Bartholomew “my brother Andrew,” a reference to the apostle who was the brother of St. Peter and was the first bishop of the Church of Byzantium.
Francis also held a private session with Metropolitan Hilarion, the foreign minister of the Russian Orthodox Church, the largest in the Orthodox world.
It won’t happen tomorrow, of course, but could Pope Francis be the Pope that brings the Roman Catholics and the Orthodox back together?
And of course a one world religion will not appear overnight either.  There are far too many differences to overcome right now.
But as the world becomes increasingly unstable, people are going to be looking for answers.  After the world is ravaged by economic collapse, food shortages, nightmarish pandemics, unprecedented natural disasters and horrifying wars, will it finally be ready for a one world religion that promises “peace and friendship” among all of the religions of the globe?
This is something to watch for in the years ahead.  The global elite desperately want a single global religion, and they will keep moving things in that direction.
For now, Pope Francis just seems to be laying the groundwork for the one world religion that is coming.  There is a 900-year-old prophecy that indicates that Pope Francis could be the last Pope.  If that prophecy is true, then it will be very important to watch the actions of this Pope very carefully.
