DORSEYVILLE (KDKA) — It is becoming a growing form of protest over the outcome of the Presidential Election; people flying the American Flag upside down. But now those protests are sparking a protest of their own.
On rooftops or front porches, our flag is displayed as a symbol of our national pride.
Larry Guerrieri fought beneath the flag in Vietnam, but outside his Dorseyville home Thursday it was flying upside down.
“That’s a sign of distress; this country is in distress right now,” said Guerrieri.

From The Detroit News: Birmingham— Gun toting advocates filled the Birmingham commission chambers Monday night, displaying their firearms in holsters and strapped to their backs in protest of charges against a teen they say had the legal right to do the same in public.
“It seems like cooler heads should prevail and the charges should fall,” said Dave Campbell, a Westland resident involved with AR15.com, a website and resource center for gun supporters. Continue reading this story from the Detroit News here.

Money Insider: US Will See Violent Civil Unrest In 2012

Armed, irritated and vocal majority will react to worsening economic decline
Paul Joseph Watson

Thursday, January 19, 2012
Money insider Charles Ortel has warned that a worsening economic picture across the globe will see civil unrest hit the streets of America, not on behalf of leftist OWS types, but by an armed, “irascible and vocal Majority”.

Ortel, a managing partner with Newport Value Partners, LLC in New York City, predicts that a failure of the so-called financial recovery will precipitate “A painful re-calibration of economic strength and geo-political standing during 2012 in the midst of widespread civil insurrection and cross-border war.”
Noting that Americans’ access to firearms will cause such riots to be bloodier than anything seen in Europe, Ortel predicts that a contented and silent Majority will be turned into “an irascible and vocal Majority,” as a result of numerous macro-economic and geo-political threats facing the country, including the collapse of the euro, the bursting of the financial bubble in China, and the looming debt crisis, all of which will contribute to weak economic growth.
“Some will manage to contain their activities to peaceful protests. However, we believe the far more likely scenario is that violence will result, especially in the United States where the wider population has more ready access to weaponry and where mobs have proven impossible to restrain,” Ortel writes.
The crisis will also be exacerbated by a shift in “the governing pole of political discourse,” which will see the usual right-left paradigm replaced by a clash between young and old, with the youth of developed nations increasingly irate at seeing the elderly enjoy the security of retirement benefits while their own economic futures look increasingly bleak.

Putin says U.S. stoked Russian protests

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Prime Minister Vladimir Putin accused the United States on Thursday of stirring up protests against his 12-year rule and said foreign countries were spending hundreds of millions of dollars to influence Russian elections.
In his first public remarks about daily demonstrations over allegations that Sunday's election was slanted to favour his ruling party, Putin said Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had encouraged "mercenary" Kremlin foes by criticizing the vote.
"She set the tone for some opposition activists, gave them a signal, they heard this signal and started active work," Putin told supporters as he laid out plans for his campaign to return to the presidency in a March election.
Invoking Ukraine's 2004 Orange Revolution and the violent downfall of governments in Kyrgyzstan -- another fellow former Soviet republic where Moscow has suggested street protesters had U.S. support -- he said Western nations were spending heavily to foment political change in Russia.
"Pouring foreign money into electoral processes is particularly unacceptable," said Putin. "Hundreds of millions are being invested in this work. We need to work out forms of protection of our sovereignty, defense against interference from outside."
He added: "We have to think of ways to tighten accountability for those who carry out the aims of foreign states to influence domestic political processes."

S.C. OWS protesters disrupt Michele Bachmann speech

Reuters
November 11, 2011
(Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was about 10 minutes into a foreign policy speech in South Carolina on Thursday when she was drowned out by the shouting of protesters.
About 30 people rose in unison and began shouting a scripted message during Bachmann's address aboard the USS Yorktown, a World War Two aircraft carrier.
The group, which later identified itself as being part of Occupy Charleston, accused Bachmann of "dividing Americans" and promoting discrimination.
"You cater to the 1 percent," they yelled.
Bachmann stopped speaking and was escorted from the stage by law enforcement officers. After about three minutes, the protesters shouted: "Have a pleasant day," and marched out chanting "We are the 99 percent."

ACORN Officials Scramble, Firing Workers and Shredding Documents, After Exposed as Players Behind Occupy Wall Street Protests

Fox News
November 3, 2011

Officials with the revamped ACORN office in New York -- operating as New York Communities for Change -- have fired staff, shredded reams of documents and told workers to blame disgruntled ex-employees for leaking information in an effort to explain away a FoxNews.com report last week on the group’s involvement in Occupy Wall Street protests, according to sources.
NYCC also is installing surveillance cameras and recording devices at its Brooklyn offices, removing or packing away supplies bearing the name ACORN and handing out photos of Fox News staff with a stern warning not to talk to the media, the sources said.

New questions about protest
“They’re doing serious damage control right now,” said an NYCC source.
NYCC Executive Director Jon Kest has been calling a series of emergency meetings to discuss last week’s report—and taking extreme measures to identify the sources in their office and to prevent further damage, a source within NYCC told FoxNews.com.
Two staffers were fired after NYCC officials suspected them as the source of the leaks, a source told FoxNews.com. “One was fired the day the story came out, the other was fired on Friday. (NYCC senior staff) told everyone that they were fired because they talked to you,” a source said.
NYCC spokesman Scott Levenson denied that anyone was fired for talking to the press.
FoxNews.com’s report identified NYCC as a key organizing force behind the Occupy Wall Street protests. Sources within the group also told FoxNews.com NYCC was hiring people to carry signs and join the protests. NYCC -- a nonprofit organization run almost entirely by former ACORN officials and employees --did not reply for comment prior to the publication of the initial article, but later posted a statement on its website dismissing the article and denying that it pays protesters.
A source said that immediately following publication of the FoxNews.com report staff were called into the Brooklyn office for meetings headed by NYCC’s organizing director, Jonathan Westin. Westin handed out copies of the article and went through it line-by-line, the source said.

Barack Obama Led #OccupyChicago – Circa 1988

Obama at anti-war protest, 2002 (Source: Verum Serum)

October 25, 2011

Just twenty or so years ago, Barack Obama wouldn’t just have supported the Occupy protests.
He would have organized them.
In fact, Obama personally helped plan one of UNO’s most confrontational actions of the eighties [in 1988]: a break-in meant to intimidate a coalition of local business and neighborhood leaders into dropping a landfill expansion deal.
We know of Obama’s involvement in this demonstration only because his supporters in 2008 felt it necessary to rebut charges that, contrary to his claims of inter-racial healing, he had organized exclusively with blacks. Only then did Obama’s former colleagues from UNO [United Neighborhood Organization, a largely Mexican group] of Chicago reveal that he had helped to plan and lead this multi-ethnic demonstration against landfill expansion on Chicago’s South Side.
…Shouting “No deals!” somewhere between eighty and a hundred UNO-DCP [Developing Communities Project, a black group organized by Obama] marched to a local bank. There they broke into a meeting being conducted by the bank president and local community leaders. The group was exploring the possibility of a deal with Waste Management. The protestors, presumably including Obama, surrounded the meeting table while [Mary-Ellen] Montes [of UNO] told the negotiators, “We will fight you every step of the way.”
Obama was also likely involved with other aggressive UNO protests, including protests for school reform, through which he likely met former Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers. Ayers is involved in the Occupy protests today.
In the 1990s, Obama maintained his ties to radical activists, and “channel[ed] foundation funding to his confrontational Alinskyite colleagues.”
It’s clear that Obama’s ties to the Occupy movement–its forbears, its tactics, and some of its current luminaries–run deep.
This is what “community organizing” looks like.

Robin Hood Tax: Occupy Movement now marching straight into the globalist trap

Patrick HenningsenInfowars.com
October 25, 2011
It was inevitable that a movement which has struggled to agree on a manifesto, would in the end, do the bidding of the very elite globalist powers that they are demonstrating against to begin with.
photoThe Robin Hood Tax is an identical transaction-tax scam to the one proposed by globalists at the 2009 UN COP15 Climate Summit in Copenhagen.
Instead of achieving freedom from Central Bank debt enslavement, naive Occupiers appear to have taken the bait, pulling the mob towards endorsing a global taxation system, and one to be administered…by a brand new global government body.
As the Occupy Movementsets its sights on the upcoming G20 Summit in France on November 3-4, its globalist handlers behind the scenes have succeeded in carefully directing its crowds towards the Holy Grail of all socialist super-states - the celebrity supported, trendy “Robin Hood Tax”, also known as a Tobin Tax, a financial transaction tax levied on all transactions involving shares, bonds and derivatives. It’s likely that such a blanket tax will eventually end up on the end of things like cash withdrawls and the like.

U.S. Amassador to Syria with Possible Links to CIA Calls Upon Protesters in Syria to End 41 Year Rule of President Assad

October 24, 2011

Today in Reuters it is reported that the U.S. Ambassador to Syria has had to make a hasty retreat back to the United States after several articles in the Syrian media have incited hostility to the U.S. Ambassador.

Robert Ford, was assigned as Ambassador to Syria in 2010 by Barack Obama. Recently it is reported that Ford contacted a seven month old grassroots protest movement, and called upon them to end 41 years of Assad family Rule.

Ford also served as Ambassador to Algeria from 2006 to 2008 under the Bush administration, and during that time Ford was accused of being a CIA agent by Mohamed Tamalt, an Algerian author and journalist who knew Ford when he served in Algeria.

The U.S. has been trying to convince Bashar Al- Assad to scale down friendly ties to Iran and militant groups, and had made some moves to improve relations with Damascus when Obama took office in the beginning of his term.

When protesting broke out in Syria, Assad ignored the demands of the protesters. International calls for Assad to respond to the demands of the protesters went unheeded by Assad as well, and relations between Syria and the U.S. began then to deteriorate.

There has been in the past, instances of U.S. attacks inside of Syrian territory by Special Forces against fighters staging attacks in Iraq.

Now it looks as though Ford, a possible CIA agent, is further instigating calls for the end of Assad's rule.
The question is whether this is being done at the behest of higher ups in the Agency itself, and will this lead to the next 'kinetic action' by the U.S. and NATO to spread 'democracy' along with regime change in the region as well.

Riot police fire tear gas at protesters in Rome

Protests are now taking place on a global scale, protesting against  corporate greed and  banking systems.

October 15, 2011

ROME (AP) — Italian police fired tear gas and water cannons asprotesters in Rome turned a demonstration against corporate greed into a melee Saturday, smashing shop and bank windows, torching cars and hurling bottles.
The protest in the Italian capital was part of "Occupy Wall Street"demonstrations against capitalism and austerity measures that went global Saturday, leading to dozens of marches and protests worldwide.
Black smoke billowed into the air in downtown Rome as a small group broke away from the main demonstration and wreaked havoc in streets closed to the Colosseum.
Protesters clad in black with their faces covered threw rocks, bottles and other objects at police in riot gear. Some had held clubs, others had hammers. They threw an incendiary devices and firecrackers at banks, destroyed bank ATMs and set trash bins on fire, news reports said.
Two news crews from Sky Italia were assaulted.
TV footage showed police in riot gear charging the protesters and firing water cannons at them.
The ANSA news agency said some protesters trashed offices of the Defense Ministry and of a labor agency, smashing windows with clubs and setting cars on fire.
Police were out in force as up to 100,000 protesters were expected a day after Premier Silvio Berlusconi barely survived a confidence vote in Parliament. Italy is rapidly becoming a focus of concern in Europe's debt crisis.
"People of Europe: Rise Up!" read a banner in Rome. Some peaceful demonstrators turned against the violent group and tried to stop them, hurling bottles, Sky Italia and ANSA said. Others fled, scared by the violence.
At least one man was injured as he tried to stop some protesters from hurling bottles.
Anarchist groups have often infiltrated demonstrations in Italy in the past. ANSA said four people from an anarchist group were arrested Saturday morning before the demonstration, with police seizing helmets, anti-gas masks, clubs and hundreds of bottles in their car.
