What is agenda 21? What is Smart Growth? What is sustainable development? This video provides a description of Agenda 21/sustainable development and how it affects your property rights.
While it is important to be good stewards of our planet, the sustainable development movement has been co-opted by an aggressive agenda to rewild America (The Wildlands Project) and reduce automobile usage and unnecessary travel by gradually shifting people into high density urban areas supported by mixed use dwellings (Smart Growth.)
Often the planning process to meet these objectives confiscates private property rights through imminent domain or conservation easements. The outcome is not a safer planet, but rather, an unrecognizable nation most would strongly oppose. When advanced community by community, most do not realize the bigger picture.

VATICAN CITY – Pope Benedict XVI denounced the failure of world leaders to agree to a new climate change treaty in Copenhagen last month, saying Monday that world peace depends on safeguarding God's creation.
He issued the admonition in a speech to ambassadors accredited to the Vatican, an annual appointment during which the pontiff reflects on issues the Vatican wants to highlight to the diplomatic corps.
Benedict has been dubbed the "green pope" for his increasingly vocal concern about the need to protect the environment. Under his watch, the Vatican has installed photovoltaic cells on its main auditorium to convert sunlight into electricity and has joined a reforestation project aimed at offsetting its CO2 emissions.
For the pontiff, it's a moral issue: Church teaching holds that man must respect creation because it's destined for the benefit of humanity's future.
In his speech, the pontiff criticized the "economic and political resistance" to fighting environmental degradation and creating a new climate treaty at last month's negotiations in Copenhagen.
Officials from 193 countries met at the summit, which ended Dec. 19 having failed to produce a successor treaty to the 1997 Kyoto Protocol. It produced instead a non-biding accord that included few concrete steps to combat global warming.
The Copenhagen summit did set up the first significant program of ensuring aid to help poorer nations cope with the effects of a changing climate. But while the accord urged deeper cuts in emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases blamed for global warming, it did nothing to demand them.
"I trust that in the course of this year ... it will be possible to reach an agreement for effectively dealing with this question," Benedict said.
He said the issue was particularly critical for island nations and in places like Africa, where the battle for resources, increased desertification and over-exploitation of land has resulted in wars.
"To cultivate peace, one must protect creation!" Benedict told the ambassadors, many of whom wore their national dress or medal-draped formal attire for the audience in the frescoed Sala Regia of the Vatican's apostolic palace.
The pontiff said the same "self-centered and materialistic" way of thinking that sparked the worldwide financial meltdown was also endangering creation. To combat it will require a new way of thinking and a new lifestyle — and an acknowledgment that the question is a moral one, he said.
"The protection of creation is not principally a response to an aesthetic need, but much more to a moral need, inasmuch as nature expresses a plan of love and truth which is prior to us and which comes from God," he said.
To illustrate his point, the German-born pope pointed to the experiences of eastern Europe under the "materialistic and atheistic regimes" of the former Soviet bloc.
"Was it not easy to see the great harm which an economic system lacking any reference to the truth about man had done not only to the dignity and freedom of individuals and peoples, but to nature itself, by polluting soil, water and air?" he asked.
"The denial of God distorts the freedom of the human person, yet it also devastates creation."

President Obama Heads to Copenhagen as Climate Conference Draws to Close
President Barack Obama is due to head to Copenhagen overnight to join the leaders of over 100 other nations for the final day of the U.N. Climate Change conference in the Danish capital.

The question remains what sort of compromise they can agree on to cut greenhouse gas emissions and to help the most affected and less developed nations of the world cope with global warming.
For the past two weeks thousands of delegates have been meeting in a conference center on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Their task was to come up with a global plan to deal with climate change.
But, agreement has been elusive. Many of the sessions were taken up with finger pointing and rhetoric of who's to blame for global warming, who suffers most, and who needs to do more.
Addressing the conference, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd warned that, as he put it, no one has come here with "clean hands."
"The inescapable truth is that we, the developed world, carry the overwhelming historical responsibility for the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere," Rudd said.
Prime Minister Rudd's message was that the developed world must set things right. But, he also admonished emerging economies to not continue to spew out greenhouse gases.
There have been major differences here at the conference between developed and developing nations and with major emerging economies.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced a major funding initiative with a promise to contribute to a global fund of $100 billion annually to help poor nations deal with climate change. But, she said that could only happen if all major economies agree on emissions cuts and on proper monitoring of implementation. She made a clear reference to China, with whom the U.S. has been at odds over the issue.

"The truth is that unless we all act together because we are all in this together there will be limited prospects of development because the planet itself will no longer sustain development," Rudd said.
That was much the message from French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who admonished his fellow world leaders that failure is not an option.
He warned them they would all have to answer before global opinion and public opinion at home if they failed to act. Science has told us what must be done, he said, and we are the last generation to be able to do it.
In an impassioned speech, President Sarkozy said everyone would have to compromise. He appealed to world leaders to sit down and work out their differences and suggested a serious working meeting after Thursday's dinner to do just that.
Initial hopes had been the Copenhagen conference could come up with a successor to the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, which mandates emission cuts for most developed nations. Developing countries are adamant that they want Kyoto extended beyond its 2012 expiration date. Leaders here have indicated they are looking for a political framework agreement from Copenhagen, with another summit to be held in about six months to work out details and turn it into a legally binding accord.

When Obama arrives in Copenhagen Friday, he is hoping to cut a deal on a new global-warming agreement. Even though the conference is not likely to produce a legally binding deal, critics say if the president signs an international climate treaty pledging reductions in carbon emissions, he will violate the Constitution.
"President Obama cannot bind the American people to job killing international agreements on climate change without the advice and consent of the United States Senate," former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich wrote Wednesday at the conservative Web site Human Events.
The Constitution states that the president cannot sign treaties without the approval of two-thirds of the Senate.
But with climate change legislation stuck in the Senate after the House passed its version earlier this year, the White House is flirting with the possibility of taking action without Congress.
Republicans Plan to Form Counter-Delegation at Climate Conference
A GOP counter-delegation is forming to undermine the Obama administration's work on an international climate change agreement in Copenhagen, warning that the president is poised to make commitments he can't keep and drawing heightened attention to controversial leaked e-mails.

At least a half-dozen Republican senators and representatives are planning to head to Denmark next week, as part of the overall U.S. congressional delegation, which includes plenty of Democrats as well.
But the Republicans have a markedly different agenda.
"Truth squad," is how Sen. Jim Inhofe spokesman Matt Dempsey described the GOP team. He called the Democratic visitors to the conference the "doom squad."
The Oklahoma Republican and ardent global warming skeptic plans to head to Denmark along with Sens. Roger Wicker of Mississippi and John Barrasso of Wyoming. On the House side, Reps. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, Joe Barton of Texas and Darrell Issa of California are tentatively planning to attend.

Copenhagen: Leaders Convene for Final stages Toward World Government

The Copenhagen Conspiracy on Climate Control convenes this week, and the true agenda behind the scam is world government-plain and simple.
This week's Copenhagen conference marks another step toward world government as 192 nations come together in Copenhagen to carry out vital stages toward draining the wealthier nations of wealth, and instituting international regulations upon those countries, which will also affect every individual within those countries. There are 110 world leaders who are attending this summit, with plans to agree to deep cuts in "green house gas emissions" for the rich by the year 2020, and supposedly to also raise billions of dollars for the poor in aid.
The real plan is far more sinister however, a plan that sounds like something out of the book, 1984, by George Orwell. Today's meeting actually traces back to 1972, when economic development and environmental degradation was placed on the international agenda at the UN conference on the Human environment, which was held at that time in Stockholm. Shortly after, governments set up the United Nations Environment Programme, or (UNEP). UNEP was set up to begin the process of establishing "protection of the environment" according to the programme itself, but the true agenda is really to reduce the world's population, and to erase all sovereign bounderies from countries in order to create a world governing body under the term "global governance".
In 1992, in Rio de Janiero, the UN Conference on Environment and Developement was held where 108 heads of state or government brought about three major agreements which would aim at achieving three major objectives toward world government:
- Agenda 21- this would ba a comprehensive plan of action globally, in all areas of 'sustainable development'.
- The Rio Declaration on Environment and development- this would be a series of principles defining rights and responsiblilities of states.
- The Statement of Forest Principles- a set of principles to underlie the sustainable management of forests worldwide.
The globalists bent on total enslavement of the world's population have contrived the idea of a "global environmental threat" to replace the "cold war threat", and through these summits hope to impose a Global Carbon Tax. Through the "Statement of Forest Principles" they are taking control of all of our national forests and parks renamed as "Boispheres- which are to be set aside to protect forests- or so they say. The real plan is to ultimately set up buffer zones around the Biospheres, in which human movement will be highly regulated. The goal for the U.S. will be to have only 50% of the land mass where any human movement will be very limited, and only 25% (of that 50% of land) on which humans will live, in highly regulated and control cities.
All activities will be monitored by civilian as well as environmental police.
Maurice Strong was the Secretary General who headed the UNCED meeting in 1992, and is one of several involved in this agenda to bring about a "New World Order". He is a senior advisor to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and former senior advisor to the President of the World Bank. He also served on the board of directors for the United Nation's Foundation. This UN-affiliated organization was established by another elitist-Ted Turner with an historic $1 billion dollar donation. Ted Turner of course would like to see the world's population drop to at least 2 billion total (there are about 6.5 billion currently). He has also said it should be as low as 250-300 million. This is similar to the Georgia guidestones in Georgia, which state that humanity should be at 500 million.
Maurice Strong, along with other elitists, understood that the richer countries of the world, which are sovereign and independent would not be willing to throw their riches into a global melting pot, or cast away the clothing of sovereignty to become a part of a Global Government unless they would be forced to do so through some sort of crisis. This crisis, he felt, would have to be an economic crisis.
"The rich countries won’t do it. They won’t change. [...] Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilization collapse? Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”The United States would be the primary target of this plan for economic collapse and emergence into the New World Order. We are now experiencing the birth pangs of the New World Order being brought to life. In 2002 Maurice Strong stated in a meeting;

One thing you will notice about the globalist agenda for a "New World Order" is a common theme of engineered crisis in order to bring about this world government. (Here are just three- I'm sure there are more to this)
- The environmental crisis called "Global warming" or "Climate change" which is being engineered through false information, and media hysterics.
- The Terror Crisis which was engineered through the 9/11 False Flag operation to bring about a Police State here in the United States, and to take control of the Middle East.
- The financial crisis which was brought about through a manufactured "subprime mortgage" crisis when US banks gave out high risk loans to people with poor credit histories. These loans and other loans, bonds, and assets were bundled into portfolios-collateralised Debt Obligations(CDOs)-and sold globally to investors.
This then brought on a "domino effect" as investors started to suffer losses, they became reluctant to take on more CDOs and credit markets froze as banks became reluctant to lend to other banks, unsure how many toxic loans might be on their rivals' books. To make a long story short, this leads to bailouts and bancrupty, and a failing dollar as the reserve currency of the world, which in then turns into G20 Summit meetings and monetary reforms on a global scale.
As for the Copenhagen meetings, these stem from the environmentally contrived crisis in order to bring about the last stages of America's decline as a republic and as an independent nation in order to transfer the wealth of the U.S. to other countries.
The International Monetary Fund has therefore been the subject in the G20 meetings, in order to transform
...the IMF into,virtually, a global Federal Reserve system, with vast new monetary and regulatory powers-and huge new infusions of cash to be provided principally, as usual, by the citizens of the United States, Japan, and Europe
The IMF would also
...assume a central role in monitoring and regulation of global financial markets,and greatly expand Communist China's influence in the IMF structure.[1]Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director for the IMF stated the the world economic crisis stemmed from the richer countries mistakes, and therefore would need to support their poorer neighbors. This was stated in a press release issued September 17,2009. Of course the money given out by the IMF to these poorer countries never seems to help those underdeveloped countries to become better developed! As G. Edward Griffin once stated about the IMF
" the International Monetary Fund gives money to these inefficient dictators of the third world countries, and makes them into efficient dictators!" Although most of the policy statements of the world Bank deal with economic issues, a close monitoring of its activities reveal a preoccupation with social and political issues. This should not be surprising considering that the Bank was percieved by its founders as an instrument for social and political change. The change which it was designed to bring about was the building of world socialism, and that is exactly what it is accomplishing today. This hidden agenda becomes crystal clear in the nature of what the Bank calls Sectoral Loans and Structural-Adjustment Loans. In the first category, only part of the money is to be used for the costs of specific projects while the rest goes to support policy changes in the economic sector. In the second group, all of the money is for policy changes and none of it is for projects. In recent years, almost half of the loans to underdeveloped countries have been in that category. What are the policy changes that are the object of these loans? They add up to one thing: the building of world socialism. Pg 96.
What do you think will be done with all the money brought into the IMF and World Bank with the passing of legislation which will bring about a global Carbon Tax? Will they use it to reduce carbon emmission? Will they use funds given to the third world countries to bring developement and better living conditions? Again we will look at the track record of the IMF and world Bank to see what a marvelous job they have already achieved. Take for example Africa, where billions have gone for "development" from the International Monetary Fund into the hands of dictators
Nowhere is the pattern more blatant than in Africa. Julius Nyerere, the dictator of Tanzania, is notorious for his "villagization" program in which the army has driven the peasants from their land, burned their huts, and loaded them like cattle into trucks for relocation into government villages. The purpose is to eliminate opposition by bringing everyone into compounds where they can be watched and controlled.Meanwhile the economy staggers, farms have gone to weed, and hunger is commonplace.Yet, Tanzania has recieved more aid per capita from the World Bank than any other nation. (Emphasis mine)
In Uganda, government security forces have engaged in mass detentions, torture, and killing of prisoners. The same is true under the terrorist government in Zimbabwe. Yet, both regimes continue to be the recipients of millions of dollars in World Bank Funding. (Emphasis mine)
The IMF was represented in Zimbabwe at the time by Michel Camdessus, the Governor of the central bank of France, and a former finance minister in fransois Mitterand's Socialist government. After being informed of Zimbabwe's plan to confiscate additional land and to resettle the people to work on those lands, Camdessus agreed to a loan valued at 42 billion rands with full knowledge that much of it would be used for the resttlement project. (Emphasis mine). [3]
So how does the IMF tie into the summit at Copenhagen? According to France24.com, IMF experts said on Friday, just days before the Copenhagen Summit, that a global pact would help the world's poorest who face the worst effects of rising temperatures. "Greater climate resilience can promote macroeconomic stability and alleviate poverty," Michael Keen and Benjamin Jones of the Global lender's fiscal affairs department wrote in a staff position note.
Ken Ewert explains in his book, The International Monetary Fund, how conditions imposed by the IMF through "macroeconomics" or "macro-policies" are seldom free-market oriented.
The Fund concentrates on "macro-policies," such as fiscal and monetary policies or exchange rates, and pays little attention to fundemental issues like private property rights and freedom of enterprise. Implicit... is the belief that with proper "macromanagement" any economic system is viable....Even more important, it has allowed governments of the world over to expropriate the wealth of their citizens more efficiently (throught the hidden tax of inflation)while at the same time aggrandizing their own power.There is little doubt that the IMF is an influence for world-wide socialism. Clear and simple, the Summit in Copenhagen seeks to put another nail in the coffin off sovereign nation-states, and to drain the wealth of the richer countries, while giving more power to the UN, IMF, and the World Bank, in order to usher in the agenda of the ages- a New World Order.

World Net Daily Gets Banned From Coming Copenhagen Convention

World Net Daily, a prominent Internet News source started by Joseph and Elizabeth Farah "as an independent news company dedicated to uncompromising Journalism"[1] has been denied access to the coming convention in Copenhagen where the conference on climate change will be held this month. Jerome Corsi, a senior staff writer for WND has attended previous UN conferences as a member of the press, but has been denied access by Axel Wuestenhagen, the media coordinator for the UN convention on climate change according to WND.
Joseph Farah recieved a letter from the media coordinator denying accreditation for the event.
"Having now reviewed the application and in consultation with the Media and Accreditation Unit in New York, regrettably, we are not in a position to grant accreditation in this instance," he wrote.
Mr. Wuestenhagen claims that WND did not fall within certain UN guidelines, and that they were under no obligation to any organization which did not meet certain "UN standards and requirements for press accreditation".
WND has threatened legal action if the ban on Jerome Corsi is upheld.
The reason for the ban according to Axel Wuestenhagen's letter stated "as a for-profit subsidiary of the nonprofit Western Journalism Center, we follow the UN guidelines on accreditation which specifies that advocacy publications of nongovernmental or nonprofit organizations do not qualify for media accreditation."
According to Joseph Farah, however, WND has not been a part of the nonprofit Western Journalism Center, since 1999.
The real reason may be due to WND's couragious reporting on the true agenda behind the climate-change convention, which is to create a world government.
According to Wikipedia, WorldNetDaily provides news and editorials, publishes letters to the editor, maintains forums, and conducts a daily poll. The editorial content has a right wing conservative and libertarian perspective, which is more likely the reason for the denial of WND's Jerome Corsi to the convention.
The Obama administration, as well as the U.N., will want to have only the media that will report favorable news concerning the outcome of the conference, so it is likely that you will not find "infowars" corespondents at the conference either. This is reminiscent of the attempt by the Obama administration to exclude Fox News from a Whitehouse meeting, until pressure from other news agencies caused the Whitehouse to relent and allow Fox to also cover the event.
In 2012, the Kyoto Protocol to prevent climate change and global warming runs out, and This is the reason for the Copenhagen meeting. A major group behind the political decisions determined at conference will be made by the IPCC, or The Intergovernmental Panel on climate Change.
According to IPCC's website, The Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change is the leading body for the assessment of climate change, established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic consequences.
The IPCC is a scientific body. It reviews and assesses the most recent scientific, technical and socio-economic information produced worldwide relevant to the understanding of climate change. It does not conduct any research nor does it monitor climate related data or parameters. Thousands of scientists from all over the world contribute to the work of the IPCC on a voluntary basis. Review is an essential part of the IPCC process, to ensure an objective and complete assessment of current information. Differing viewpoints existing within the scientific community are reflected in the IPCC reports.
The IPCC is an intergovernmental body, and it is open to all member countries of UN and WMO. Governments are involved in the IPCC work as they can participate in the review process and in the IPCC plenary sessions, where main decisions about the IPCC workprogramme are taken and reports are accepted, adopted and approved. The IPCC Bureau and Chairperson are also elected in the plenary sessions.
On November 19, 2009, emails began to show up on the internet concerning accounts of some scientists admitting to falsifying evidence to hide the truth behind "Global Warming". These emails belong to the same scientists affiliated with the IPCC. Hackers were able to retrieve the emails from a British University, whereupon it was discovered that several top scientists collaborated in covering up evidence that global temperatures have been declining, and not increasing as Al Gore and his scientific cohorts would have us believe.

The fact is that we can't account for the lack of warming at the moment and it is a travesty that we can't. The CERES data published in August BAMS09 supplement on 2008 shows there should be even more warming: but the data are surely wrong. Our observing system is inadequate.
Another email says:
I've just completed Mike's Nature trick of adding in the real temps to each series for the last twenty years (ie from 1981 onwards) and from 1961 for Keith's to hide the decline.
Several sites have reported on these revealing emails including World Net Daily. I believe that WND is being banned for the very reason that they have been unbending in their endeavor to expose the U.N. agenda for what it is- an attempt to bring in a world governing body- a New World Order. George Bush Sr. made it clear in his 1991 speech:

Again on September 21, 1992, Bush senior spoke these words to the United Nations:
"Nations should develop and train military units for possible U.N. peacekeeping operations... If multinational units are to work together, they must train together....Effective multinational action will also require coordinated command & control and inter-operability of both equipment and communications." Barack Obama has also used similar language in his desire for a new world order saying during a speech in Egypt:
"Given our independence, any world order that elevates one nation... over another will inevitably fail." (Obama has mentioned a "world order" at other times as well.)
Of course the whole reason for the establishment of the U.N. by "its founders-" the Elite, is soley for the purpose of a "New World Order".
Censorship and deceit are the ways in which this New World Order will be brought into fulfilment. Secret meetings and bills passed in the dead of night are the norm for those bent on total world domination. We as Americans must be more resolute to understand our world around us, and be willing to step away from the media mind-control machine (your TV), so that we can take back our country from those who seek to hand it over to foreign bankers and a quasi-governing monstrosity which will only enslave and destroy the only real free force left in the world.
The Copenhagen Conspirators must be exposed and stopped!! Only brave individuals like Jerome Corsi, and bold reporting, the kind you find at WND will make this happen!
