UN Carbon Regime Would Devastate Humanity

If the United Nations and fellow climate alarmists get their way on restricting carbon dioxide, the poor will soon be getting poorer — much, much poorer — especially in places such as Africa, Latin America, and large swaths of Asia. It is hardly an exaggeration to suggest that millions could die of starvation, cold, and more. Despite bogus promises of abundant, government-mandated “green” energy (think Solyndra), Europeans, Americans, Japanese, and others who live in developed countries will suffer greatly, too. The devastation will be particularly severe among the least well-off.

Earth’s would-be rulers, however, do not seem to care. The radical UN plan to fight “climate change,” as outlined by the global body amid the implosion of its man-made global-warming theory, would dramatically curtail available energy supplies. If adopted, nobody disputes the fact that the scheme would grant unprecedented powers over people, businesses, and governments to planetary bureaucrats. The multi-trillion-dollar ploy would also wreak havoc on the global economy — virtually every human activity, including breathing, releases carbon dioxide.

On top of that, experts say the plan would have virtually no effect on the climate. Indeed, all of the UN climate models have already been thoroughly debunked as global warming, in defiance of hysterical predictions, stopped over a decade and a half ago (see companion article on page 25). But the agenda was never really to stop “global cooling,” “global warming,” or even “climate change,” so it is hardly surprising to learn that the UN is nowhere near ready to give up on its vision of complete planetary dominance.

OBAMA MOVES TO LIMIT POWER-PLANT CARBON POLLUTION

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Linking global warming to public health, disease and extreme weather, the Obama administration pressed ahead Friday with tough requirements to limit carbon pollution from new power plants, despite protests from industry and Republicans that it would dim coal's future.

The proposal, which would set the first national limits on heat-trapping pollution from future power plants, is intended to help reshape where Americans get electricity, moving from a coal-dependent past into a future fired by cleaner sources of energy. It's also a key step in President Barack Obama's global warming plans, because it would put in motion proposals to end what he called "the limitless dumping of carbon pollution" from all power plants.

Under the law once the Environmental Protection Agency controls carbon at new plants, it will also control carbon at existing plants - a regulation the agency said Friday it would start work on immediately to meet a June 2014 deadline.

As tyranny continues its march out into the open, it is increasingly becoming cloaked in green.  Under the guise of saving humanity, a chorus of recent announcements within elite circles, think-tanks, educational institutions, and the halls of science are calling for drastic measures to stop the planet's inevitable implosion from an overshot carrying capacity.

A U.N policy paper recently outlined the building blocks for a world government that would enforce a "heavy-handed" approach toward humanity's impact on the environment, as this new epoch of The Anthropocene Age has begun to negatively alter the planet in irrevocable ways.

A rather infamous book, from a rather infamous group called The Club of Rome, is making a reappearance as humanity hurtles toward demise if its stewardship is not turned over to technocrats.  Limits to Growth (1972) is nothing short of a blueprint for population reduction and neo-feudalism; or, as Yale economist Henry Wallich stated at the time of its release, its implementation means "consigning billions to poverty."

It appears that this plan has been green-lighted by the elite, as recent MIT research validates the conclusions drawn by Limits to Growth at this crucial time when we see the world economy imploding, and a jack-booted green police ready to hit the streets.  According to MIT, we are headed toward a guaranteed planet-wide economic collapse and "precipitous population decline" if we do not heed the words of The Club of Rome.

Austerity riots and suicides are filling the streets throughout Europe, as draconian measures are being taken to curb runaway debt.  This debt has provably been created by the Ponzi scheme of international banksters who have employed a loan-shark framework that is only paying dividends to those in position to buy up deliberately collapsed assets for pennies on the dollar.

Obama Advisor’s Call For Global Tax Part Of UN Agenda For Transfer of Wealth

Director of the White House’s national economic council Gary Sperling’s announcement that a plan for a “global minimum tax” is in the works continues the efforts of Barack Obama himself to oversee a massive transfer of wealth under the auspices of the UN.

The call also echoes similar rhetoric out of the United Nations which recently announced an agenda to impose a world tax on all financial transactions to “help the poor”.

“We need a global minimum tax so that people have the assurance that nobody is escaping doing their fair share as part of a race to the bottom or having our tax code actually subsidized and facilitate people moving their funds to tax havens,” Sperling said today at an official meeting.

He added that more details about the proposal would be forthcoming before the end of the month.

The fact that President Barack Obama’s economic advisors are now pushing a global tax should not be a surprise given the fact that Obama himself introduced a bill when he was in the Senate, the Global Poverty Act of 2007, which would have committed 0.7% of America’s gross national product, or an additional $845 billion over 13 years in addition to existing foreign aid expenditures, for the purposes of “reducing global poverty.”

UN Bureaucrats Floating Plan for Global Tax

Bureaucrats at the United Nations are floating the idea of a global tax on all financial transactions in order to fund the organization's over-arching, worldwide social services program which would supposedly provide individuals in need all over the world with such basics as free health care, housing, education, and even a basic income level.

The goal of the world body’s Commission for Social Development, which is meeting February 1 through 10 at the UN building in New York City, is to create what the global bureaucrats call a “social protection floor” (SPF), which they hope will become a major UN focus following its Millennium Development Goals project in 2015.

The focus of the Commission, as it was discussed at a special pre-commission Civil Society Forum on January 31, is to bring “universal access to basic social protection and social services.”

The Global Social Crisis: Report on the World Social Situation 2011 explains the thoroughly socialist reasoning: “Universal access to basic social protection and social services is necessary to break the cycle of poverty and reduce inequality and social exclusion. A basic social protection floor is affordable; its benefits need to be weighed against the potentially high human, social and economic costs of not investing in social protection.”

Declared Milos Koterec, president of the UN’s Economic and Social Council, which created the report: “No one should live below a certain income level. Everyone should be able to access at least basic health services, primary education, housing, water, sanitation, and other essential services.”

Writing in the Deseret News, Susan Roylance of the conservative Howard Center for Family, Religion and Society, explained that the services fixated on by Koterec “were presented at the forum as basic human rights equal to the rights of ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,’” and the money to fund such a “social protection floor” should come from a world tax, UN officials insist.

“We will need a modest but long-term way to finance this transformation,” declared Jens Wandel, deputy director of the UN Development Program. “One idea which we could consider is a minimal financial transaction tax (of .005 percent). This will create $40 billion in revenue.”

Jorge Valero, permanent chairman of the Commission for Social Development, insisted that “it is absolutely essential to establish controls on capital movements and financial speculation.” Valero explained that such controls would come through “progressive policies of taxation” requiring “those who earn more to pay more taxes.”

Roylance quoted one of the presenters at the forum, Sister Fatima Rodrigo, as insisting that “there is plenty of money — we just need to stop spending it on militaries and wars.” Added Winifred Doherty, chairman of the NGO Committee on Social Developoment and one of the forum’s organizers, “Military spending is the problem. There is no scarcity of resources. Where do we put our resources? Destroying people and the planet.”

According to Roylance, the push for a “social protection floor” — and the global tax to fund it — “is becoming solidly entrenched in the United Nations’ agencies and programs. Some U.N. leaders are calling for the SPF to become the new focus for the U.N., when the Millennium Development Goals are finished — after 2015.”

Carbon Taxes: To Be, or Not To Be?- That is the Question

We may end up having to do it in chunks, as opposed to some sort of comprehensive omnibus legislation. Some form of Climate Change policy is likely to come after the midterm elections, whether Democrats or Republicans dominate the House and Senate. The only difference will be the form it takes on. If Democrats conitinue to dominate we will be more likey to see a "Cap and Trade" type bill come to the floor, whereas with Republican domination it may take on more of a climate and energy legislation, only not the type of policy favorable to environmental groups according to Energy lobbyist Frank Maisano. Many of the Republican side are more likely to question the aspect of global warming due to manmade activity.

However, we will more than likely see some sort of climate legislation. The next UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) meeting is scheduled for December of 2010 in Cancun Mexico, and Barry Obama hopes to have "an energy policy that begins to address all facets of our overreliance on fossil fuels," according to Rolling Stone Magazine.

In the scheme of things, climate legislation is important in the international move toward Global Governance, or a New World Order, and men such as Maurice Strong, Al Gore, David Rockefeller and other globalists have invested too much to let any obstacles get in the way of their plans for a world government.

And as always, there will not be any real choice between the two party system that is set up to steer us along the path of percieved choice, all the while presenting the same overall legislation, just with different dressing. We can have the choice of Obama's brand of climate legislation with "some sort of carbon pricing,"- or the Republican plate of Climate and energy legislation with a "safety valve" which would cap prices at a certain level in order to ease economic impact.

In the words of the Snickers Bar Jingle, " No matter how you slice it, It comes up Carbon Tax"

What you will more than likely fail to see on the menu is an alternative choice, - the choice of no climate legislation, unless we see a true emergence within the ranks of a strong Tea Party element sitting in those seats this November 3rd and on.
